The first howl-worthy installment in the Bane Hallow series.
Roxy didn’t come to Bane Hollow looking for trouble.
She just wanted a quiet life, a fresh start, and maybe a break from her long streak of emotionally unavailable disasters. Running a vintage resale shop in a sleepy redwoods town? Perfect. Until Carl happened.
Her shop neighbor is a cocky, tattooed tattoo artist (yes, double trouble) with a smirk that should be illegal and hands that could make a girl forget every bad decision she’s ever made. He’s definitely a bad idea, and one she’s already tried once.
Then Brax shows up.
Tall, intense, and way too good at brooding silently in doorways, he’s the Alpha of the local wolf pack, and apparently, her fated mate. Which would be cool, if she knew about that kind of thing.
Now Roxy’s caught between a flirty fling with bad-boy Carl and a possessive shifter who thinks she belongs to him. Spoiler she belongs to no one.
Equal parts steamy and hilarious, Tattooed & Territorial is a fun, fast-paced paranormal romcom featuring curvy girl confidence, small-town pack drama, and an alpha who’ll do anything to claim what’s his.
Perfect for fans of spicy shifter romance, grumpy/sunshine vibes, and hot mess heroines who don’t go down without a fight.

Hey, you found me. I’m T.L. Sawyer. The unapologetically sarcastic mind behind the Bane Hallow Series, a steamy, slow-burn paranormal romance saga where secrets run deeper than the redwoods and alpha wolves are the least dangerous thing lurking in the fog.
If you like sharp humor, sizzling tension, and characters who bite as hard as they love, you’re in the right place. My books blend supernatural suspense with raw emotional depth… plus the occasional scene that’ll have you side-eyeing your Kindle in public.
When I’m not writing about possessive shifters, sarcastic shopkeepers, and ancient bloodlines, I’m probably drinking too much coffee, creating graphics, or enjoying the P.N.W.
My debut novel, Tattooed & Territorial, introduced readers to Roxy Abbott. A curvy, inked vintage shop owner with zero patience for bullshit. And Brax, the brooding Alpha with eyes only for her. Set in the redwood town of Bane Hallow, the series dives into pack politics, found family, and the kind of love that’s as dangerous as it is inevitable.
Thank you T.L. Sawyer for sending me this review copy for free. I am leaving this review voluntarily.
This was your fairly standard wolf shifter novella. It was a quick read and I enjoyed it. It hit all your usual tropes, like fated mates, FMC who didn't know anything about shifters, Mr. Tall dark and broody, etc. The spice was plentiful, and on the mild side of things without a ton of explicit detail. The snarky banter was definitely the highlight, and I loved that so much.
This started out with so much promise. Absolutely hillarious banter, likable, and relatable characters, just amazing. The only issue I found was a bit of disjoint as the plot unfolded and the book moved forward. Characters and events were introduced with little or no explanation, making it a little hard to follow. This, however, wasn't enough for a lower rating, in my opinion, as I enjoyed the writing style, story, and plot as a whole. It's very entertaining with mild spice.
What an adventure this story was. I'm not deep into the wolf shifter world so all this was still pretty new to me and I absolutely loved it. I was a little weary at the beginning because I didn't realize that it was a "which will she choose" situation (that's on me, I didn't catch it on the trope card 😅) and I don't usually like love triangles, but this was good.
Roxy moved to a small town in Northern California to hopefully just live a normal, quiet life. She has crushed on her long time friend and tattoo artist Carl and when things begin to pick up between the two of them Roxy unexpectedly meets a naked man outside her shop. When she finds his wallet and goes to return it to him everything is turned upside down when he asks her on a date. When she accepts the offer she has no idea she's agreed to a date with the Alpha of the largest pack in this part of the country. Braxton knows from the moment he scents Roxy who she is and how important she is to the pack. Only problem he sees is Carl and his sudden need to sway Roxy to be his.
I absolutely loved Brax all the way around. For me he wasn't really toxic or overbearing or pushy. He did at points keep things from Roxy, but it was never in a "you don't need to know" way but always in a "I'll tell you when it's relevant" way. His desire and need to protect her was top tier and the way that he adores and cherishes her is swoon worthy. Roxy was so relatable from beginning to end. Her struggle in navigating her old feelings for Carl and her new feelings for Brax was refreshing in a lot of ways. Her shift from being uncertain of what she's doing to knowing without the shadow of a doubt that this life is hers was *chef's kiss* Mutt 🤭🤭🤭 Not only did I really love both Brax and Roxy, but I loved a couple side characters too. Shout out to Zane and Aurora. The way they supported Roxy and encouraged her questions and validated her fears was beautiful. A girl that grew up with nothing growing into a woman that has everything, beautiful. I cannot wait for the next one.
3.75/5 stars This was an interesting book and I really enjoyed the writing style in the beginning. I was able to finish it in one sitting because I was that into the story. However, there were some weird transitions in conversations and some scene changes that left me feeling like whole lines were missing from the book. Multiple times I was unsure how the characters got somewhere or what they were replying to because the dialogue didn’t make sense. Overall still a good read, it just needed a little more editing.

This book was so funny and had some drama in it. I can't wait for book two. Roxy was someone that people could relate to and her sense of humor was amazing. I loved the jokes when she met Brax. I loved this light and fluffy romance. I bet the next book will be even better.
