Expected 16 Jun 26I have lost her. The only girl I’ve ever loved has slipped between my fingers after her whole world collapsed, and these days we’re not even friends anymore…not really. Strangers would be a more accurate term to define what we are to each other.
Now that high school is in our rearview mirror and we’re both attending our dream university on athletic scholarships, we’re bound to bump into each other again—or I hope we will. Sure, the campus is big, but I have a game plan, one that is supposed to show Melinda Shepard we’re still meant to be. With the past now behind us, I just hope that her heart is available, because I won’t be able to spend the next four years of my life pretending she means nothing to me.
Can we give love a chance this time around?
