The author is new and it shows with the lack of editing, pacing of the story and clunky writing.
FMC is "not like other girls" which all of the men quickly point out and vow to protect her, within 8 hours of meeting her. FMC has been horribly abused, at home and at school and one of the MMC's thinks its a good idea to threaten to punish her for not taking food.
Within the first 15%, we find out that two of the HIGH SCHOOL kids are heavily into the BDSM scene. THEY ARE 18 YEARS OLD.
FMC has no personality, except what the guys push upon her. She lacks a backbone and cannot stand to do anything by herself.
This book is very formulaic when it comes to how the story progresses...15% was setting up how bad the FMC needs saving, 60% was her with her men and navigating the relationship and 15% was the resolution to the problem faced in the first 15%. It was predictable and boring.
The author made some critical formatting errors; apparently she missed the day in high school where her teacher taught her that any number under 100 is spelled out in professional writing (think eleven not 11). Every tone/voice of each character was the same, there were numerous odd sentences, misplaced punctuation marks, weird word choices and misspellings.
Oh, let's not forget the FMC getting nicknames from everyone around her, cause godforbid an FMC in a RH book actually get to keep her name. Princess, kitten (really? to both of them? Really?), nightingale, good girl, baby, and baby girl. FMC's name is Zarita which is already shortened to Rita but that's not good enough.
The writing was very clunky and sophomoric; we had to hear about EVERY LITTLE DETAIL. Who the fuck cares about who ate what, who ordered what, what a school class schedule looks like and what every outfit looks like.
This is the kind of book that makes someone say "hell, if this got published, I could write and publish a novel myself." And that's not a compliment.

InstaObsession if you please…
I would give this a solid 3.5 stars for this book written by a new author. Solid storyline, great characters even the side ones, and multiple POVs. The development of each character’s personalities was coming along, but I just wanted more or maybe sooner in the plot? I wouldn’t say it was instalove at first sight, but it was instaobsession. You don’t really know what the FMC has been through at that moment, you are feed little tidbits throughout the whole story. Knowing what I know at the end, I find it hard to believe she would trust the MMCs so easily and accept their touch or believe that have her best interests at heart. Especially the way they manhandle her. Boys, I will say it loud for the overflow in the back, girls and women in general do not need to be carried around like children, we do not need to sit in your lap or be fed by you. Now I’m not here to yuck anyone’s yum so if you are into that, more power to you. The 5 characters are a codependent nightmare for any therapist to untangle, but it is a sweet just turned 18 coming of age story. In real life I’d be seeing red flags but in fantasy bookland I think awww that is so sweet. Now the bad guys, justice was not served enough, so much more should and could have been said about what happened with them. I would have enjoyed seeing an epilogue to see what their older years would have brought. Did they make it to college? Did their dreams come to fruition? Or they happy and healthy as a family unit? Do they have children? Kana Rey you have a talent for sure. Keep writing, pursue your dreams. You will only get better through practice. Find yourself a great editor that will not only improve spelling and grammar but ask the hard questions about your story and characters and they will only help you improve as well.

Beautifully Well Done, Though a Few Errors
I would have given this standalone book 5 stars if it wasn’t for the occasional writing errors. But those were easy to overlook in light of this wonderful story.
I’m tired of seeing RH books with tons of spice and little in cuddles and comfort that don’t devolve into a rump in the sheets. But this book was wonderfully well balanced with the care and comfort of the guys physical touch without it having to turn into something sexual while still retaining some of that spice we all love.
Each character as well is developed in a way that they are each their own person, retaining unique characteristics without their personalities running into each other.
With a happily ever after, this book ended with all the warm and fuzzies while leaving the reader fantasizing what kind of future Zarita and her guys are going to carve out for themselves.
There were errors with grammar, punctuation, and run on sentences that could easily be addressed to make this a top notch book. I can’t wait to see where the author is going.

Rescuing Rita - Kana C. Rey
I loved this book and the characters in it.
Zarita, Camden, Ryder, CJ, and Huxley are so strong and the love and care they have for each other is so sweet. There were also so many lovable side characters. I really would love for this to be a series featuring them and to see more of this group as well. I loved the writing and I can’t wait to see what else this author writes.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ / Out of 5 Stars ⭐️
Format 💫 Gifted Digital Copy
Series 🌙 Unknown/Not Applicable
Genre/Tropes ✨ Why choose?, polyamory, Overcoming trauma, LGBTQ+ Representation, MFMMM, Biromantic Representation, found family, ex-playboys

High school/ why choose/ reformed playboy/ virgin FMC/ MFM/ MMFMM/ MM/ OW drama/ hurt/comfort/ found family/ HEA
Trigger warning: death of a loved one/ death/ exhibitionalism/ self harm/ human trafficking/ DV/ child abuse/ neglectful parenting/ underage drinking/ underage sex/ cheating(not MCs)/ SA/ attempted kidnapping/ bullying/ trauma/ PTSD
This story had very heavy subject matter but it was good. I would classify this as “spice-lite”. It wasn’t closed door but the spice seemed tame in my opinion. I was also kind of bummed that there really wasn’t any group spicy scenes. The writing was ok but this book could have used better editing.

Look, this book isn’t terrible but it’s just really unbelievable to me, I read a lot of why choose so it’s not even the multiple partners thing that makes it unbelievable it’s the fact this severely abused FMC immediately enters a relationship with several guys and it just felt like I was reading the outline for a book and not an actual book. I got to chapter 20 I believe it was when I read “I’ve been curious about the guys penises” and I cringed so hard I knew I wasn’t going to bother trying to push through. I’m sure it’ll be enjoyable book for someone and maybe it gets better after chapter 20, but just wasn’t for me.

Needs An Editor
I wanted to like this book more than I did, but there were grammar issues all over the place as well as character development failures. The language was choppy and didn't flow naturally for American teenagers. There were tons of words that should have been plural, but weren't and there were misused homophones. With the right editor this book might be decent, but as it stands now, it was a waste of time.

The book could use some more editing but I could get past that. I liked the side characters who helped the FMC. I felt like some parts were disconnected and at times I did forget how old the characters were. This new author has potential and I hope they continue fo write. I would read another book by this author

Okay.
I can't blame anyone I knew what I was getting into with a high school romance.
My glaring issue is how the parents of this boys ("men") were zero phased about Rita dating and living with all of them. Come to think of it even their peers at school didn't say anything.
3 stars because this book did make me cry. Not the best nor worst but my emotions were engaged.

AUDIBLE SNORT. Be so for real right now 😭 these are literal high schoolers. Basically children. I already can’t get past the grammar. DNF at 4%

Fantastic!
This was so good!
I think this is the author's first book..
If so, this was one hell of a debut!
I really loved these characters, and hope we get to see them again down the road.
Maybe a college setting?
A baby on the way?
Highly recommend!

Good read
Solid read not super believable but reverse harem usually isn't for me. I liked the storyline each guy was well written and thought out. I liked the ending everything was cohesive and enjoyable.
