Hidden Heat: Northern Heat Book 1: A Gay Omegaverse College Sports Romance

Northern Heat – Book 1
A scorching omegaverse college sports romance from El Wood

Andy Park has one stay invisible. As an omega in hiding, he’s perfected the art of blending in—layers of clothing, chemical blockers, and a life focused on art, not instincts. But one accidental kick of a soccer ball changes everything.

When Coach Martinez spots his talent, Andy’s dragged into the orbit of Northern University's elite soccer team—and the four dangerously compelling alphas who run it.

Brody: the intense team captain with something to prove.
Wyatt: the strategist who sees everything... including what Andy’s trying to hide.
Seth: the flirt with no shame and a mouth that makes promises.
Julian: the youngest alpha, disarming and unexpectedly kind.
Tyler: Andy’s beta best friend—nerdy, devoted, and maybe a little too willing to help when things get slick.

He only joined for the scholarship. But now his body’s betraying him, his heat’s coming on early, and there’s no suppressing what happens when instinct takes the field.

Omegaverse. Reverse harem energy. Beta complicity. High-heat erotic tension.
Not for the faint of heart—or anyone allergic to knotting.

Omegaverse

Andy is an omega hiding his designation, taking suppressants and blockers. His roommate Tyler, beta, knows. Andy used to play soccer but as an omega, is no longer allowed?!? IDK it doesn’t really go into detail. Anyway, the coach asks him to join the team and she knows he is an omega. He misses it and makes the decision to play. His first practice goes well until they get to the locker room to shower. Surrounded by all the alpha pheromones, he goes into heat. So he races home and Tyler tries to help him through it. They’ve had sex before but nothing like the heat marathon. Three days later, one of his teammates, Julian, shows up at his house to check on him. When Tyler opens the door, he realizes what is happening. Tyler says he is worn out and needs a break and invites him in to knot Andy. Only, Tyler joins them (even though he just said he is dead on his feet and can’t take anymore).

No real plot. No real world building. No real character building. But it was good. I know that Andy eventually collects a few more team members in the future installments. I will probably read them.

2.5 rounded up

I enjoyed the read which is why I decided to round up, but the book was too short. I think it laid down the foundations for a really good read and I'm interested in checking out book two.

Quick read. Storyline is a bit choppy but the point is still made. Fast paced heat and lots of characters introduced early on who didn’t have much to do with the rest of the storyline. Overall was ok
