In the remote Chilean countryside, a lone dairy farmer witnesses the unthinkable—a rocket soaring into the cold dawn sky from deep in the Andes Mountains. After NORAD confirms the unbelievable event, world leaders demand answers from Chilean officials, only to be met by unexpected denials and escalating threats.

Special Agent Frank Deal and his elite WMD-hunting team are dispatched to quietly infiltrate the country, trace the rocket’s origin, and uncover its purpose. What they discover is far more ominous than anything man has yet placed in orbit—a satellite network with the power to weaponize space and much more.

But the surprise launch was just the beginning. With time running out and global stability on the line, Deal’s team must unravel the full scope of the danger unleashed by a shadowy organization known only as The Cause. And they must do it before The Cause executes their final, catastrophic plan.

I live in Alabama. Yes, I know. Stereotypes abound about the south in general and Alabama in particular. Some are true. Some are not. I graduated from Auburn University and then attended law school at The University of Alabama. There’s a big football rivalry between the two schools you may have heard about. It’s a major thing down here.

For almost thirty years I practiced law all over the state. No need to bore you with that, except for the fact that my job allowed me to meet real-life characters of all types. Some good. Some bad. And some were just plain outlandish. Not surprisingly, I often develop characters based on the interesting people I met through the years.

I’m still a lawyer, at least technically. But now I’m doing something I truly love – writing. As an attorney, I wrote all the time. Mostly, mind-numbingly detailed legal motions and briefs and such. Now, I can write what I want.

I have an awesome wife who puts up with my eccentricities ¬– writing late into the night or hanging out in the garage fiddling with old cars. She is a lawyer too, but a much better one than I ever was and beautiful to boot.
I’m a lucky guy.
I hope you enjoy the books!

Couldn’t put it down!

A fantastic third book to add to The Cause series!! A non-stop thriller that kept me guessing until the end. Lots of twists and turns, interesting new technology, and, of course, conspiracies. Highly recommend!

Plenty of adventure in this entertaining novel. Book 3 of 3 so far? Looking forward to reading the first two books in this series where a group of extremely wealthy players via for control of the world.

Good to read
Having now come to the third of the trilogy, I knew what to expect and I was not disappointed.

The team are now like my school chums back again for another instalment of excitement and derring-dos, notice how the two senior FBI agents are developing into proud parents to the four incorrigible teenagers. While the bad guys from earlier books have gone, the new ones are just as nefarious. The story is thrilling, illegal rocket launches from Chile, under cover investigation by our team, new alliances, a Chilean family, a beautiful hotel manageress and the Chilean head of the secret service - all want to combat crime and terrorism but worried that they could betray their country. The secret cabal of bad guys are fiendishly clever, rich, powerful and dedicated to their cause.

The ending wrapped the story up nicely and left the suggestion that there would be more adventures in the future. Can't wait!
