“On the hill is a castle ... Let’s go and see.”

They say a monster lives inside, but no, that couldn’t be. A group approaches the castle, goes through the moat, down the stairs to the dungeon and there it is!

I think this book has a cool anticipation element. Makes me kind of think of The Monster at the End of this Book, but maybe not as suspenseful.

A fun scary read with perfect rhythm, simple illustrations, and a bit of a twist near the end.

I liked this. My son liked this. My preschoolers liked this (judging by the fact they all actually listened to me reading it). Cute!
