I write about alpha protectors who fall in love hard and unconditionally, through the good and the bad. My characters are strong, sexy, and slightly damaged... because no one is perfect. All of my novels have happy-ever-after endings. What else would you expect from a die-hard romantic? I'm the author of the McIntyre Security Bodyguard Series of contemporary romance novels.
I live in Ohio with my daughter and more than a few dogs and cats. When I'm not writing, I'm reading romance novels and watching movies with happy endings. I'd love to hear from you! You can e-mail me at aprilwilsonwrites@outlook.com. Or, visit my website: aprilwilsonauthor.com.
To say I’ve been waiting forever for this book feels like an understatement. Regret (Mac & Erin’s book) happens to be my all time favorite in the McIntyre series and one of my all time favorite comfort reads. While I enjoyed this novella immensely I wish we got to see more of their future together (as they happen to be my favorite couple. I honestly could read a whole other book with just them). I was hoping to see some more spice and babies, but hoping that comes with a future novella. If you haven’t yet given this series a try I highly recommend. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, but mostly you’ll build a strong connection to these characters and this family. Can’t wait to see what’s up next.
I can't put into words how much Mack and Erin's story has stayed with me. It is and always will be my favorite book and story line. Since the moment I put down my tissue box and finished reading Regret I've been waiting for The Engagement. To see how Erin has overcome as much as she has from such a horrific experience and the love and care Mack has shown for Erin is wonderful. April you have created an amazing couple. I hope we will hear more from them and maybe a new little addition to the family. 5 stars is never enough I give it 10+
I wasn’t expecting much from this book as it was a short novella to close out Mack and Erin. But the author failed to do simple math when she wrote parts. The original story REGRET has Haley as a 17 yr old in her Jr. year of high school, now we skip TWO YEARS, and now Haley is 17 yrs old and in her senior yr of high school. Whats wrong with this picture? The HEA for Mack and Erin was nice, but no drama at all which made the story blah… glad it was a KU. Normally really like this series but not this one, just a sloppy short story.
Erin and Mack have been through so much and yet this story brings out the best of both of them. Mack still feels the anguish of what Erin has been through and with him denying their love, he wasn't there for her in time. Now they're getting past that and creating a whole new and exciting life! This is one of the best Authors that I am grateful to have found. When you follow April Wilson's stories you will have a new family that you won't forget!
A cute little read with the McIntyre core group. Erin and Mack get their next step in the HEA, Sam and Cooper are as precious as always, Shane is a gentle hero, Haley and Philip get closer to dating and so many other amazing updates. Sam had the precious moment when he got his role for the wedding and Erin’s surprise about family from Shane was sweet. This was a quick and short read that conveyed some beautiful tender moments of a great couple!
Well, I didn't realize I needed this follow-up until I read it. Mack and Erin had a pretty rough start to their love journey. It seemed like their story had concluded in their origin novel, but doggone it, apparently they needed to finish what they started with an engagement and wedding. Well done, April Wilson. I'm satisfied!
I am so in love!!! Erin and Mack finally get their happily ever after. Erin has overcome so much and to see her and Mack get to such a beautiful place it brings tears to my eyes. Well done April Wilson!!!
Age doesn’t matter when you are in love. Mack finally sees this for his daughter and her boyfriend, after talking to his girlfriend Erin that is13 yrs younger. A great read and a great love story.
I’m so glad Mack & Erin got a follow up I absolutely love their characters and I think of all the books in this series Mack and Erin are the top then Dominic and Sophie but I love all of the McIntyre books April is a wonderful creative story teller.
DNF. I’ve read this whole series and enjoy the themes, but I forget this author’s writing style isn’t for me. It’s too step by step without the flow I like to read. This book didn’t really keep me engaged as much of it was describing all that happened in prior books.
Such a fun story as we finally get to see Mack and Erin get their happily ever after. I loved seeing everyone come together to celebrate them and also to see Mack warm up to the idea of Haley and Philip. Fantastic!
This was a sweet, heartfelt story with a perfect ending for this awesome couple. A definite must read. I would definitely recommend this book, series, and outstanding author.
So this is what happens beyond the end of a romance story. There remain many shadows of past pain from one of the characters and the feeling of regret from the other. They need to be dealt with and are by the time the wedding date comes.
