Angels of God: When guardian angels aren’t just real—they talk back.

Rate this book
He never asked to see angels—let alone confront demons, walk through Purgatory, or stand before Lucifer himself.

Winifred “Windy” Rushmount is an ordinary teenager with an inventive mind and a restless curiosity. When one of his failed experiments unexpectedly pulls him into a vision of Heaven, Windy discovers that the spiritual world is not distant, symbolic, or safe—it is real, ordered, and watching.

What begins as wonder quickly becomes responsibility.

Guided by two guardian angels—the Archangel Raphael and Remiel, God’s angel of Mercy—Windy and his best friend Freddy are drawn into a hidden conflict that has unfolded since the Fall itself. As they move between the Present Heaven, Purgatory, and the shadowed borders of Hell, the boys encounter ancient exiles, forgotten laws of divine justice, and a deception capable of widening the abyss between Heaven and humanity.

For Windy, the battle is not only cosmic but personal. Each step forward forces him to confront fear, doubt, obedience, and the cost of knowing truths most people never see.

This is not a story about choosing sides.
It is a story about learning what faith demands when innocence is no longer an option.

TA Beuschel takes us on a journey in his first Epic adventure, Angels of God: Exploits in Heaven, Hell, and the Abyss. The first book in the Windy Rushmount series tells a story of a young teenager, Windy, and his friend Freddy, who get into a battle they never could have imagined, and how they discover their unique spiritual gifts and talents along the way.

Reading this book alongside our preteen provided even more perspective into the exciting journey. Here’s what he shares:

I love this book because it has lots of adventure, and it is perfect for young readers, such as myself. I think the title matches the story because Windy goes to hell, heaven, and the abyss.

I love this book because the characters Windy and Freddy are awesome and have two very different personalities. Windy is always adventurous, which is somewhat like me because I’m adventurous. I also like Freddy because he has a good sense of humor, even if he is always complaining. Both characters make the story complete.

The adventure is also great because the teenagers travel to many different places, which makes an exciting story. Their journeys kept me on the edge of my seat, leaving me wanting to know what happened next. I recommend this book to any young person, especially if you’re into adventure and growing in the strength of God.

I would like to preface this by stating I’m not the target audience for this book so I may have rated this lower than it deserves. While not my usual genre, I’m glad I took the time to read it and found it interesting, enjoyable as well as educational for a non Catholic. The target audience should find it fast paced, entertaining and leave the reader, young or old, much to contemplate. I’m looking forward to more Windy adventures along with his guardian angel and hopefully sidekick Freddy.
