This might be the best volume so far. The first half upped the ante on the already peak comedy that is Konosuba, only to hit you with relatively unprecedented emotional pull in the second half.
I was well aware of how much this cast could move me to laughter from the very beginning, and this volume made me realize how invested I really am not just comedy-wise.
This volume being the best so far is an understatement. Thot priestess Serena is such an interesting antagonist that I managed to remember her name, which is something I usually can’t do. I also felt (kind of) bad for Aqua, which is another thing I unusually can’t do, so I’d say this book is definitely worth reading.
it was One of the best book in whole series till now. Most amazing combination with dark priest of Kazuma. From the start to the end I laughed. And a little sad moments with aqua made it even better.
Holy hell! What else can you say when such an incredible volume follows so closely from the painfully mediocre books 10-13 (though to be fair, volume 14 was pretty good too)? I swear, the series hasn't been this good since books 6 and 7, and this one might actually be better than them.
Based Kazuma takes on a thot priestess and her cult of simps. For the first time in the series, he is unable to rely on his party members for help. So he fights her using exactly the kind of hilariously underhanded gorilla tactics you'd expect, and ends up making her life hell in what are by far some of the funniest scenes in the entire series.
But then that story ends, and we begin what is really the first Aqua-centered plot since book 4 (for whatever reason, her volumes tend to revolve more around a normally secondary character like Eris or Wiz). We get some touching scenes between her and Kazuma, and it's great to be reminded that, beneath all their bickering, these are actually two close friends who care very deeply about each other.
On top of that, not only does the plot of this book follow on directly from the previous one, but it also leads directly into the next one, meaning we can finally stop feeling as if the series is just dragging its feet.
Bonus- there's also a moment where Megumin basically proves that she, and she alone would be willing to take care of Kazuma if he lost his mind. Demonstrating once and for all that she is best girl.
Konosuba was getting a bit boring lately. But I feel like the last two volumes has brought it right back on track. This volume was very much fun and it seems like the story is finally rushing toward conclusion. Only two more volumes to go...
It was really good. I was hesitant about the brainwashing sequence, but that was probably the funniest part of the whole series so far for me. It was nice to see Kazuma playing to his strengths. I would have liked it if he kept his abilities from when he was a follower of the God of Revenge cause it would have been interesting to see how he would use these new abilities. Even though his level has been reset, I don't think it would matter much as he has always been weak. I am glad they seem to be building towards an ending and I look forward to the last two books

Fun little read but very slow to start and just ends super fast as usual. Was kinda of disappointed with serena. Thought something more would have come from it.
