Hahahahahaha I'm still laughing my ass of because of the ending.
/* "Oh dear lord! My secret has been discovered! I must avenge thyself! But how?", the villain pondered. But the villain's face lit up pretty quickly since she thought of something. So what will she do? Will she mercilessly slaughter the eye-witnesses, or did she thought of something even crueler than death?
"Nah", the villain started, "I shall chibisize them!". 'Oh the horror!', thought the reader.

I know that nobody reads this reviews so I created the masterpiece above, knowing I won't ever get the Pulitzer or something similar.
Now to the review:
The book was interesting. We've got a new spirit, who is again different than the others, since she set up a quite entertaining detective puzzle to Shidou.
Me, myself and I really liked when Shidou found out that Tohka's been kidnapped. I was expecting him to do something drastic, for a change, but alas my wish was thwarted.
Nevertheless it was an interesting novel, and several overshadowed characters from previous book finally have gotten more "screen time".
It is Halloween, and a new spirit appears, one that looks like a typical Halloween witch. She is a master of shapeshifting magic, and out of anger starts of some perceived sleight a guessing game with Shido. I found the volume an interesting addition to the series, a mystery with clues there to solve it, but nothing too obvious. We also get to see a tiny bit about the main plot, a teaser so to speak, which is also my biggest complaint with the series, it is a rather slow burn in regards to the main plot. We get another spirit, and that aspect is getting a bit repetitive. The book ending on a cliff hanger was not entirely unexpected for the series. Still, it was a fun read and a good addition to the series.
