Origami has held a grudge against spirits for a long time, but her recent interactions with them and Shido have left her confused. DEM Industries used this to their advantage, although whether things go as intended is up for debate. Things certainly don't go as Origami herself had hoped for. A mentally cornered Origami becomes rather unpredictable though.

Much like previous volumes the book is a bit of an odd mix of funny, cringe and at times well written characters and story. There is a bit more drama than funny in this volume (and as result also less eye rolling), and it plays with a trope I am usually hesitant about (turning back the clock as the blurb states). It is done relatively well even though I saw it coming the moment Origami asked for the "favour". Some solid character development in this case and I am really curious were the author is going to take this in the next volume. So, solid addition to the series even if I probably would have wanted a bit more humour.

A very intense, interesting and eventful volume, which answers some questions we had from the beginning of the series (at least in Origami's case).

So the story continues a day or so after the events in the previous volume. Origami decides that enough is enough, so she goes on an unsuccessful killing spree. Moments after she's been defeated, the Phantom approaches her and gifts her the power of spirits.
Long story short, she's done something she shouldn't done and because of it, she inversed.

It was an interesting story, more eventful than Tohka's rescue with a lot of fighting. But I am a bit disappointed with the airships battle sequence. It ended abruptly and left us hanging till the end. Also why did Kurumi send Shidou to the past? Questions, questions...
