The Love of Priest 2

Rate this book
The pain of failure is a hurt Priest is all-too familiar with. He’s let many people down over the course his life, but this time around, he’s not so accepting of defeat. With Britain’s life hanging in the balance and his relationship with Remy now on the rocks, he has to do all he can to win back the favor of two of the most important people in his life while remembering that his own freedom hangs on the scales of Justice at the moment as well.

As his trial reconvenes and Priest continues to fight for his right to live freely, so does his sister Jazzlyn, who has had enough of Priest’s dominion over every aspect of her life. As Priest soon finds out, victory isn’t always in winning and having the last word. Sometimes, the ultimate victory comes knowing when to walk away.

As he’s forced to make life-altering decisions that will affect everyone around him, Priest struggles to secure the love of the one person he considers his entire future while laying the ghosts of his past to rest, and he finds himself putting his trust in those closest to him to keep the one secret that could save all of their lives. But while he’s doing what he feels is the best for his entire family, it’s Jazzlyn who may end up needing the saving. One wrong decision and a hidden agenda threaten to bring Jazzlyn to her knees, and she may soon find out that all is fair in love and Priest.

Priest Kanaz Justice. The bedroom bully. The complicated, calculated king pin from Harlem NY. I enjoy how flawed Priest is, his love was pure, his loyalty unshakeable, but that ego! That ego was running the show majority of the time. Priest was so conditioned to controlling everything that he came off as selfish and knowing better than everyone. This very thing put a strain on all of his relationships in this installment.

In Book 2, we see Priest fighting thru some grave miscalculations and having to adapt and pivot to make it through but will that be enough to save the bridges he’s burned in the process.

The fact that Cameron’s scum sucking, bottom feeding behind is still around is blowing me.

From the way book 2 ended, I’m hoping we get to see Priest get active in book 3. That is one side of him I would like to see more.

Idk if I can justify the length; however, it was well written and I’m looking forward to the next.

Okay, Rose gworl!

One thing I love about these books is that the drama isn't over the top and super chaotic. It's the perfect balance of drama and contemporary love. I feel like that's why they are so easy for me to read, although they are both over 500 pages long.

Brit was pissing me off with the Italy situation. You're willing to put your life on hold if Priest had to do life behind bars, but you're not willing to start a new, peaceful life in another country? It's not like you can't just hop in a jet and come back home when you're missing it.

But I was just as pissed as she was when he made that "business decision" ... like bro, this was NOT the plan. I would've packed up on his ass too

Matteo and Shorty really screwed my boy over with the b.s. they pulled.

I noticed that Jazzy was a bit selfish, and she kind of got on my nerves. Ma'am your brother is in a position of power for a reason. Regardless of whether you truly like a person or not, you should have him or his people run a background check. Communication is key, especially with the lifestyle that is being lived. Why leave him in the blind when he's the only one that'll be able to protect you if push comes to shove? And shove it came to.

Why would you think it's a good idea to use the accountant that is being used by a mf you just learned played you?? You were being so freaking secretive it didn't dawn on you to actually do your research on shorty first?

I was soooo irritated with Kaymen and Jru. Just because Priest allowed Jazzy to be a part of the legal business does not mean she can make such big decisions as she made at the end of the book. Priest said he would handle it, so let him do that!! Now look at yall 🙄

Kaymen is supposed to be the logical one, but he was stressing me out right along with the other two. How yall find out who Jazzy was screwing Shorty's husband and still want to do business with her?!?!?!?!?!

That trio just pissed me off so bad throughout the book that it didn't make sense.

The lack of communication was making my blood pressure rise.

When it all boils down, I don't think Priest was wrong for how he moved. Talking about "executive decisions" when yall couldn't even handle Slyvia without calling Priest, but you want sole decision over an entire empire 🫠

I need Priest to do Cameron in the dirtiest way possible. Spare absolutely no remorse. I need his death to be drawn out and in full detail.

Alright, Rose, drop part 3. I don't have all year.

Just like the first book, the second book took me on a world wind of emotions!! From the very beginning of the book till the last page! I knew a certain individual in this book was going to piss me off because she thought she knew better!! I will not spoil it out there for those who are trying to read the book, but what I do want to know is will there be a number three because there is no way it could end like this. I feel like there’s so much more to the story that is left unsaid. The characters, the storyline the plot twists for me personally, I give this more than five stars! It is a lengthy read, but it is worth every page!!

Girl pissed me off.

I didn’t even realize that Avery would be so trifling. Totally blindsided me like wasn’t even a thought that could happen 😒. I hope book 3 Priest gets Cameron and even let Britain get a piece too cause whew. He gone be mad when he find out too.

I been ready for book 3 since I started reading the first few chapters of book 2 lol.

Was a good book. Was kind of disappointed that it didn’t end, because both books are so long.
