The hunter just became the hunted. . .

Evan O'Reilly was used to fighting demons. A bounty hunter for the underworld, he was always precise. Efficient. Ruthless. But that was before he had to battle with his own.

Being a powerful deity had its advantages, and Alethia, goddess of wind and shadows, was thankful she could watch over her friend completely undetected. That was, until his carelessness began to garner the wrong kind of attention, leaving her no choice but to step in.

Now, Evo is being hunted by his own kind, closely followed by a revenge-hungry demon. He is on the run, and Alethia is running with him. While passion ignites, and tension threatens to tear them apart, they discover that there is something far more sinister after Evo's soul. As Alethia fights for him, she is forced to face an agonizing truth: to save him, she may have to lose him forever.

A story about love and sacrifice, Evo is the first book in the Divine Hunter World series of books that focus on the much loved characters from the Divine Hunter series.

This book is book 2.5 of the Divine Hunter series and should be read between Dark Deliverance and book 3. This book can also be read as a standalone

5 ***** Paranormal romance fan who loved JR Wards Zsadist?? You need to read Evo...like NOW!!

I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of this book. I've been desperate to read this since the author announced Evo was getting his own novel, after falling slightly in love with him in the previous novels in the Divine Hunter series. I can honestly say this novel didn't disappoint and I'm now TOTALLY in love with Evo.

This book is a must read for anyone who has read the first two books and also for anyone who hasn't yet, but is an avid paranormal romance reader! Be prepared though, because once you start it you will not be able to put it down! Evo is not someone you can tear your imagination away from easily and once he's under your skin he's likely to stay there for a while :)

The author does an amazing job bringing the story to life, so much so that you'll feel like you've been on an emotional roller coaster. I could actually FEEL the desperation, despair, the hope and the love that is so beautifully woven into the story it becomes something tangible. It's been a long time since I've rooted for a character as much as I did Evo!

Evo reminds me of Zsadist in JR Wards Lover Awakened in that he is a bad boy that is clearly damaged goods who has a dark side but also a whole lot of love bursting to get out. That and of coarse the fact that he's TOTALLY HOT!! Who can resist a drop dead gorgeous bad boy who is in need of a bit of fixing huh?

I could write heaps about the story itself and how good it is but I don't want to give anything away, I'm just going to say READ THIS BOOK - you won't regret it!

I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of this book.

I managed to miss out book 2 somehow and jumped into Evo story. I did miss out on a bit of the story but that in no way hampered my enjoyment of this stand out story!!! I soon got caught up and I was sucked in. Just like book 1 I ended up reading this in one sitting. I just could not put it down.

Evo is a cocky, larger than life character. The best friend and ally of Michael from books 1 and 2. He was sucked into hell in book 1 whilst helping Michael fight the demons from hell. He languished in hell until Michael was able to rescue him. But when he returned he felt...different. He was still his arrogantly brash self but he seems to have acquired a self destructive streak which he did not have before.

Alethia is a goddess and is shadowing Evo. He has left behind Michael and Lacy after some frightening dreams had him killing Michael. He won't take any chances with his friends safety and he puts as much distance between them as he can. Alethia does not like what she sees happening to Evo. He is becoming erratic and downright bloodthirsty. When she sees a flash of something otherworldly in his eyes she knows all is not well.

Evo is clearly damaged and his dark side is becoming more prevalent but he is also disarmingly sweet and outlandishly sexy!!! I loved reading about his past and I was in tears in places. He is a triumph of self preservation and nature over nurture! Evocatively emotional, thrill packed and spicy hot passion filled story and wonderfully empathetic characters which will suck you in!

This book is a definite must read but you have to have read the first two books, once you start it you will not be able to put it down. Evo is someone that pulls at your imagination but after what he's been through you can actually feel the desperation, despair, the hope and the love that is so beautifully written here. You really won't be disappointed in this series.

Wow! Just Wow! I absolutely loved this book!

Evo is Book #2.5 in the Divine Hunter Series by L.J. Sealey.

In this installment of the Divine Hunter Series, we really get a look at the main character, Evan O'Reilly, better known as Evo. He was a man who was used to fighting demons and considered himself a bounty hunter and was utterly ruthless, always efficient. But then he had to battle his own demon.

Evo's friend, Alethia, is the Goddess of wind and shadows, and was silently watching over Evo, completely undetected. But when he begins to warrant a wrong kind of attention, she has no choice but to step in.

We quickly learn that Evo is being hunted by people just like him and a demon who wants nothing but revenge. So Alethia and Evo begin to run together. While on the run we see a lot of passion and tension and find that they are fighting something far worse than Evo's soul. Alethia is left fighting for him and comes to the heartbreaking truth that in order to save him she may have to lose him forever.

I love both of these characters in the Divine Hunter Series and am so glad that we got to really get a look into their lives with this book. Evo and Alethia's characters are so vulnerable and real. The love they have for each other is so strong and overpowers all other themes in the book. Just how we have come to realize in our own lives that love can help us overcome all obstacles, the love they have for one another keeps them going and neither Alethia nor Evo will give up until the very last breath. It shows us that we don't really choose who we fall in love with, but that love can be unconditional and test all barriers. If we are so lucky to find someone like that, then we should hold onto them.

One of the other major themes is good verses evil. Right from the start we know there are demons fighting to keep Evo from living his life and fighting to keep him from the love of his life. I found myself rooting against all evil for Evo to overpower his own demon.

L.J. Sealey has such a knack for writing. She has delivered yet another page turner. Her writing captures just the right amount of suspense and intrigue and her descriptions leave you so sure of everything you can picture it perfectly in your mind. She really knows how to pull you right into the story from start to finish. Her story flows with such ease and switches from Evo's point of view to Alethia's so effortlessly.

Evo is so far my favourite book in her Divine Hunter series and I can't wait to read more! Thank you L. J. Sealey for writing such captivating characters and creating such an amazing world for us to escape to.

This book contains mature content, so the readership is for 17+. It is a paranormal romance after all.

I have received an ARC of this amazing book from the author in exchange for an honest review.

I started reading the book but then I realised that I have missed some story from the previous 2 books I have stopped and read the first 2 books, which by the way were also AMAZING. Even though you can easily follow the story without reading the first books, I think that you get a better insight into Evo and his personality. And besides they are awesome, so why not read them also?

I like Evo. I like him a lot. He is cocky, snarky and have that bad boy vibe but at the same time he is kind and loyal. During book 1 he was involved in Micheal fight and during this fight he is being imprisoned, and then rescued by Michael. But after his return he was different. Dark. Full of something that was growing inside of him.

L.J. did an amazing job with creating the story, the emotions and descriptions of the world. The characters are really well developed and I enjoyed them all.

5 heavenly stars from me <3

I love Evo and find him and Alethia much more interesting than Michael and Lacy. Great, fast paced book and much longer than expected as well. Lost a star purely because I kept being taken out of the story by bizarre spelling mistakes. Lins, please use a proof reader who knows their homophones!
