My Thoughts - Story I am NEVER disappointed when I read a story by KC Stewart. She has a knack of drawing the reader into the story and not like it’s playing out in front of you…but you are actually there and experiencing everything the MCs are.
I also liked how she split the book up in 3 parts….
The first part is from Sadie’s POV The second part is from Tyson’s POV (same story but from a different perspective) The third part is from both of the POVs ---- continuing the story after the climax
I thoroughly enjoyed this story and loved the characters immensely ---- Sadie was my fucking hero in this book…as much as she thought she was damaged and weak – she turned out to some kick ass heroine!
And the relationship between her and ‘Fred’ was outstanding ---- I sucked that up and loved every minute of it!
Re-Cap Sadie suffers from PTSD and needs to get away from the city. She moves to a very small town in the Adirondacks but what she doesn’t know is that it is full of shifters. Out one night for a stroll, she thinks her life is about to end when a wolf gets in her path. But she isn’t his dinner for that night, instead they form a bond of friendship.
What Sadie doesn’t know is that her new friend, Fred, is really a shifter who is stuck in his wolf form. At the same time another shifter has his sights on her and wants to change her to become his mate. When Sadie’s life is threatened…will Tyson/Fred take the risk to shift back to human in order to help her?

TOO FAR GONE was the first book I have read from author K.C. Stewart. There were a few slow points, but I really enjoyed the characters and storyline.
We get two POVs in TOO FAR GONE. First we have Sadie. She moved to the town of Adirondack to get away from her past. She couldn't get that with her family and friends treating her like she was super fragile. Second is Tyson. He was forced to kill his sister and that broke him. He has stayed in wolf form and plans to stay that way forever. Although I liked that we got to experience the story from two different directions, I wasn't crazy about them being separated the way they were. I would have rather had the events happen back to back or experience the happenings from just one or the other instead of having the first half of the book from Sadie and then have to experience EVERYTHING again in the second half from Tyson's POV. OK maybe you don't have to experience everything, but it's a lot of the same events.
Back to the characters. Both characters were damaged in some way and were able to help each other heal. There was no romantic relationship until the end of TOO FAR GONE, but I still felt that they were a really good match and had a solid base for their relationship and future. The supporting cast of characters was strong and I really liked that I felt connected to them as well and that I'm invested in seeing how they end up in the future too.
Besides a few slow parts I enjoyed the pace of the story. There were plenty of little things thrown in to throw you off and I liked that I couldn't guess what was going to happen every turn. After I finished reading TOO FAR GONE, I was craving more and I made the mistake of reading an excerpt for the next book and I'm now itching to get my hands on it. I will definitely be picking it up.

I received this book for an honest review. Sadie and Tyson are both damaged souls. Both feel like they are in a very dark place. Both need each other more then they know. As you read this book you will fall in love with these two and hurt when they hurt.
Sadie had a stalker that she had to kill. Now starting her life over she still has the nightmares. She would of never dreamed how much her life would of changed and how much starting over would ring true.
Sadie found her self faced with a wolf with another wolf coming to her rescue. The wolf that saved her stayed with her and became a pet. What she did not know was this wolf was a werewolf by the name of Tyson. She feels she can talk to the wolf. Tell him her fears, dreams, past, and pains. This wolf is such a comfort.
Tyson is in a extremely dark place. He has not been human since his sister’s death. The guilt, pain, and lost he feels is to overwhelming. He wants nothing more then to give completely to his wolf and lose his sanity. Just when he was so close to doing so she meets Sadie. Sadie is the only thing that is keeping him holding on. Each day he falls more in love with her. Each day he promises himself just one more day and he will leave and give into his wolf.
Owen is the Alpha of the Adirondack Pack. His best friend is Tyson. The pain he must of felt to see his best friend’s sanity border on the line of no return. He can only hope that Gaia will show passion on his best friend and save him from self destruction.
Sadie finds her self in complete danger. If she is not careful death could be in her near future. She needs a savior, protector, and a miracle. Is death in her future? Will Tyson lose his mind? Will Owen lose his best friend forever?
Sadie James relocates to Adirondack to start a new life after being attacked by a stalker. Wolf shifter, Tyson Cartwright, was broken after having to kill his sister for treason against the pack. He has shifted becoming a Lone Wolf for the past year. After meeting in the woods, Tyson is drawn to Sadie and feels a need to protect her.
I admired Sadie. What she underwent with the stalker was horrific. She was courageous to pick up her life in an effort to move on from her nightmares.
My heart went out to Tyson. As an enforcer, it would be horrible to be put in a position to have to kill your only blood relative that you loved and raised. It is understandable that he had difficulty dealing with the aftereffects. He is a worthy man who deserves to forgive himself.
Jake is the perfect nemesis for Tyson. He is soulless and responsible for Tyson’s sister’s demise. His though-process was scary and added interesting tension to the story.
Owen Purcell is an admirable Alpha and friend to Tyson. He is clever and a respectable man. I am looking forward to his story in book 2, Fault Lines.
I like that the story was told from both Sadie and Tyson’s viewpoints. I loved Tyson’s impressions of Sadie. He had me giggling. I also appreciated the conversations he had with his wolf side.
I enjoyed the plot. It had a few unexpected twists and was filled with excitement. The story is well-written and had a good pace. K.C. Stewart did an exceptional job creating a believable story with likeable characters. This is one series I will definitely continue.

Another great read from K.C. Stewart. It is suspense meet action meet romance. He wants to lose himself to his wolf. She is trying to make a new life and escape her past. His wolf sees her and is drawn to her. She is terrified when she sees the wolf. He protects her from another wolf. He follows her home and she starts to trust him. The other wolf has come back to hurt her and he protects her and has to choose between turning her or letting her die. Will he turn her? Will he let his wolf take over? Will she forgive him? Will she allow herself to love him?

4 Stars for this very well written book
Sadie moved to her new town to escape from her former stalker. Well little did she know she is walking back into a town full of shape shifters. While taking a walk Sadie trips and falls face first into what she thinks is a dog. Soon after, she realized its not all as it seems.
Tyson, a shape shifter, begins to stay very close to Sadie. He is fighting his own battles with the death of his sister. He tries to protect Sadie from someone who could potently hurt her. Possibly the same one that hurt his sister.
Excellent book that will make you giggle in some parts. A very good shifted book.
"True mates can save the most lost" This book is amazing just into the first few pages it had me cracking up in laughter!. The story line is incredible and the characters are Awesome!. Sadie is walking in the woods behind her new house one day when she trips on a tree root. When Sadie looks up she comes face to face with an angry looking wolf. Sadie just knows she is about to be eaten. The wolf leaps not on her but over her and starts fighting another wolf. Tyson had left his pack and has stayed in wolf form sense he had to kill his sister. When he sees the wolf Jack who had caused the killing behind Sadie he knows he has to protect her. Tyson fights off Jack and follows Sadie home. Sadie does not know Tyson is a wolf shifter so she takes him in and doctors him. She even names him Fred lol. Jack wants a mate he has tried several times in changing other human women with out good results. Jack has set his sights on Sadie only due to her past she is not welcoming his advances. Soon Jack kidnaps her and tries to change her but almost kills her only Tyson kills him and finishes trying to change Sadie. This book is amazing with its spine-tingling suspense, action, Hilarious humor and heart-stopping Romance!. This is a must read book!
I owe this author a whole bunch! First I need to say, yes I am one of those crazy people who read acknowledgements, LOL since you totally put that in there. :) Second, this, you have out done yourself. I read the prequel. I absolutely died. I felt so damn horrible for Tyson. I knew it was going to be bad. I knew he would be destroyed after killing his sister. I wasn't prepared with how bad everyone else took it for him too. Everyone, except Jack, is so heartbroken, because they lost two pack members that day, Jenny and Tyson. And now, that I know the past that Tyson and Jenny had, I'm even more heartbroken. However.... I am so damn happy. Sadie has literally given me joy with what she did for Tyson, or Fred as she so lovingly calls him. LOL Oh way to play everyone for a loop with Owen demanding that "time limit" there. Seriously, I was in tears LOL Ok, so let's start with Tyson, since we found his story first. He's broken, he's left his humanity, he lives as a wolf now, he doesn't want to come back. And yet, he hasn't run far. He stayed in the same area as his pack. However, he hasn't been in human form for over a year now. So, it was a little shocking that he started following a human. Sadie, who also happens to be broken. And yet, his wolf calmed down when she was around and let his human come back. Well, I believe she is his saving Grace, and he's hers. And on top of that, there's not just a wolf pack who wants Sadie among their ranks, but the man who left Sadie broken and half a person, his family wants revenge on her. I guess moving long distances isn't always the answer, but it worked pretty good here :) I loved Tyson from the beginning. I have been cheering for him, even when I knew what was going to happen. Even when I knew he though he was too broken. And we all need to thank his wolf for making him finally wake the hell up. Well done Fred!! LOL Now let's talk Sadie. She's from the upper corporate world. She's smart, and sweet, and funny, and caring, and broken. No one ever understands that when you have an attack that causes severe trauma, it's not something that just goes away. Sadie's so bad that little noises and small touches will send her over the top. I wanted to hug her so bad. I am glad she had Fred around to hug. And Jack, another werewolf, well he's just another form of scum who wants Sadie for the wrong things. She doesn't take long to figure it out either, she just doesn't figure out that he's not human like her first attacker. He's got more weapons under his jacket than he's prepared for. But in the same instance, Jack's crazy causes Sadie to open up to others like Lee, whom I totally adore and I need her to have her own story!! SOON!! Lee is another wolf from the same pack, and she's my hero! I love her. And she becomes the best BFF a girl could ask for. And the town's folk welcome Sadie into making her feel like she's home. Thank goodness for that. She's had to fight enough, but she's still got it in her, it just took a little cray cray to get it back :) The plot had me slack jawed in awe. I mean, it's not just about Sadie and Tyson finding each other, we have the Riley family, whom I know we haven't seen the last of yet. We have Tyson and Sadie learning how to fix their broken pieces. We also have Owen and Lee and the pack trying to put their pack back together, no matter what kind of manipulation they need to do to Tyson. He needed it anyways. And then we have Jack. He's just one of the bad guys. I hated him in the first book, but I seriously hated him here. He needed something meaner, lol But overall, I'm a goner. I need the next book, like tomorrow. Maybe it'll come down to a fight between Hailey's series and this pack, because I now must have them all, always. The writing is fantastic and the emotion that plays with you for this whole book will keep you on edge and gripping you book- or kindle for me- like it's a life line. I was seriously in tears at one point, and then laughing like a hyena in another instance. With the suspense and mystery, a little action, and some totally awesome romance that blooms like a flower, slowly but magnificently, this book had it all. And must I say it, but WEREWOLVES... You had me at werewolves :) So, now, gimme gimme book two!!! I need it! 5 AWESOME WOLFY PAWS!!
Title: Too Far Gone (Adirondack Pack Book 1) Series: Adirondack Pack Author: K.C. Stewart Genre: Supernatural Romance
“Delirious with sensations, Sadie let her head fall hapless to the side giving him more room to play. His lips parted once more in a smile against her skin. He paused his seduction of his mouth to grip and pull her hips towards his. With their bodies flush against each other -his hard and taut, Sadie’s soft and nearly boneless- he bit down on her neck…”
A true romance about a love born of tragedy, deceit and friendship, this book plucked at every heartstring. I laughed, I cried, and maybe even panted a little. Heart wrenching anticipation wrapped in the sweet throes of true love with a side of fur. An amazing read is what you get when combine a slightly mental alpha male and a somewhat damaged damsel in distress with the story telling talents of K.C. Stewart.
Sadie was on the fast track to success with the sky as the limit in the big city, when tragedy struck. In the course of one night, her whole life changed and parts of her were broken. Healing seemed impossible when everywhere she looked she was reminded of the night her world was shattered, so she packed up and moved to the tiny town of Andora, New York nestled in the Adirondack Mountains, in an attempt to start over and fix the broken pieces of her soul. Sadie slowly makes a few friends, one of which is a lone wolf (literally) who has decided it’s his mission to keep her company, even if she doesn’t want it. Just as soon as her world starts to make sense again, Sadie is forced to come face to face with things that people usually only read about in fairy tales and urban legends, and she is forced into changing into one thing she never thought possible...a wolf. Tyson has dealt with his fair share of tragedy and has gone from being the enforcer for the local wolf pack to being a slightly deranged lone wolf, until he comes across a damsel in distress, who slowly brings him back to life and draws him back from the brink of insanity. Together Tyson and Sadie discover who they can and can’t trust in their little town, and they also discover the healing power of love. I can’t wait to read Book 2 in this series, Fault Lines, coming soon!

Sadie is on the run from her harrowing past. A former corporate go-getter, she is now a shell of her former self having acquired a stalker and then had to defend herself from his attack, leading to her shooting him. She is enjoying her new town and her chance at privacy as no-one here knows her or giver her pitying looks.
Whilst walking in the woods near her new home she comes across a wolf and just when she thinks she's about to be lunch, he fends off a more aggressive wolf and then follows her home. This begins her very unconventional friendship with "Fred" the wolf, who she treats as an oversized dog!!
Tyson, has slipped more and more into his wolf state after the death of his sister. He is blaming himself for her entanglement with an isolationist group within the shifter community, which ultimately led to her death. His pack has worried over him for almost a year but his new attachment to Sadie might just be what brings him back from the edge.
There are some great did-not see-that coming moments as it's not quite clear from the outset who the "good wolf is" but it made a great read!
Part one is Sadie's side of the story, part two is Tysons and part 3 reverts to Sadie again. That's about my only gripe. I would have preferred cutaways to Tysons POV rather than the first half pretty much rewritten from his viewpoint. Other than that the story flowed well and all the background characters felt formed and part of the story and not just there to fill up the pages.
I’m going to be perfectly honest here. This book was such a fun, quick read that I totally forgot that I was supposed to be reviewing it! I guess that’s as good as it gets. Luckily, Too Far Gone is more than a bit of fluff to read. I really liked the town of Andora and its people. Stewart does a great job of sketching the background for what is sure to be a fun new shifter series. I liked the slow build-up of the love between Tyson and Sadie. Tyson is psychologically hurt and not looking for love or a mate. He’s looking for oblivion. His recovery is believable and therefore refreshing - especially for this genre. I also liked Sadie. She’s trying to take back her life in the only way she knows how.
Not every character in the book was likeable, however. Jack was a jerk and I didn’t understand his situation. It seems that everyone knew he was bad but no one did anything about it. Very frustrating – especially as it lead to dangerous situations. I also was really, like grind my teeth, angry with Owen’s big plan. I understand his idea behind it, but I thought it was very cruel considering Sadie’s background.
Can’t wait to read the next installment – although the sneak peek Stewart gave the readers at the end of this book makes me worry that I’ll once again be grinding my teeth.
I enjoyed reading this book. It is well-written with well-developed characters. The story is about heartache and love. Two people who are running away from their pasts somehow end up finding each other. Now they are both unwilling to let go of each other. the only trouble is that one of them is a wolf. Sadie finds him while she was walking through the woods and now this wolf is her new house guest. What she doesn't know is that he is there only to protect her. Tyson has been in his wolf form since his sister died. He is no longer sure whether he will ever be able to be human again and it is fine by him, until he finds Sadie. She is going to be the one to bring him back to his life. No matter how much he wants to be oblivious of the world around him, she is one person he cannot ignore. They both need to be saved and it seems that they are the only ones who can save each other. I recommend this book to all paranormal lovers. Although not quite 5-Stars-perfect it comes quite close. I hope readers enjoy reading it as much as I did.http://mineofbooks.blogspot.com/
P.S. I received an ARC in exchange of an honest review.
FUDGE! Normally, paranormal is not my ideal, but this book was AMAZING. K.C. Stewart has opened me back up to the world of Paranormal Romance and I can't be more excited!! This book was PHENOMENAL! I can't tell you how much I loved the connection between Sadie and "Fred". Seriously, I want my own Fred. Too Far Gone takes you in to a world that you wish were real. I can't tell you how many times I caught my self hooting and hollering. Stewart is an amazing writer that blends and molds the words so well together, that is sucks you in completely and captivates you until the very last page.
Sadie is new to the town and is running from a past that would be terrifying for any person. When she meets "Fred", a wolf, they have this undeniable, unconditional bond that hits you right in the heart. He becomes her friend, her confidant, and ultimately her protector. "Protecting her would be his redemption."
I didn't want the book to end, but when it did, I smiled. It was beautifully, and tastefully written, and I cannot wait for the next book in the series. "I don't know what is about you that calms the darkness but it was addicting."
This was a story about Sadie and Tyson. It was a very enjoyable read that I blew through quickly.
Sadie has just moved to a new town to make a new start after a terrible time in her life. She wants some privacy and a chance to meet new people who aren't only seeing her past when they look at her. She's smart, and very self reliant. She made for a very enjoyable heroine.
Tyson had his own damaged past that he is choosing to escape from by staying in his wolf form. He was a very interesting hero, and while there were a few moments when I either wanted to tell him to stop being such a jerk, or scream at him, over all he was strong and protective of Sadie which I loved.
The only real negative for me was the very beginning of part two with the temporary POV switch. I liked getting Tyson 's POV but I wish it had been just alternating with Sadie's instead of going back to the beginning almost half way through the story. However it didn't last long before getting back to where things left off so I was glad.
All in all, still a very recommended paranormal read.

Too Far Gone - (Adirondack Pack 1) K C Stewart 4.5 stars
Sadie has moved away after her run in with a crazy stalker, she is now living in the middle of nowhere. Whilst walking in the woods she meets a wolf. This wolf is Tyson (aka Fred) a shifter who doesn't want to change back. Jack, a local, takes an unhealthy interest in Sadie, is she now about to embark on another dangerous stalker episode ?
A really great shifter book, with lots of twists and turns. I love Sadie's character and all her insecurities. There's so much going on that I found it increasingly hard to put this one down. I did find this book a little repetitive in places as it is told from Sadie and Tyson's POV, however this is a fantastic read.
I haven't read anything by KC Stewart before but I will certainly look out for more from this author from now on. I would highly recommend 'one clicking' !

wow she has had to deal with a lot in her life. she has survived her stalker. she moved to try and start over but looks like she has a new one. will she survive this one? will she learn the truth? will she be able to handle it?
part two Tyson view.
dealing with his guilt from killing his sister to protect the pack he went rouge. now he has found someone to protect. will it help him heal? will he be able to move on? will he get to her in time?
part three
the meeting of the pack. will they all accept her. she meets her wolf and Learns to accept it. she final meets her mate. will things go smoothly or not?
Over all the book was great and shows a woman surviving a stalker and trying to take her life back. she runs into another crazy but she still fights back. she meets someone she trust with all her heart and i cant wait to see what happens next.
Sadie moves to Andora after surviving an attack by a stalker. She is hoping that a fresh start will help her heal. When she comes face to face with a wolf who saves her, Sadie has no idea just how much Fred will become a part of her life. I loved that she chatted him up and that he had a sweet tooth. The wolf is actually a shifter that went through something so devastating that he went rogue outside of his pack which brought him to Sadie. Sadie is attacked by another wolf and Tyson again comes to her rescue. What he does will change her life forever. She changes him as well. Tyson is healed by his time with Sadie and she brings him back to the life he left behind. I really loved their story and I can't wait to read the next one in the series.
I think K.C. Stewart tells a story in such a way that you want to keep reading. It’s immersive in that she tells us each part from the “main” characters POV. I thought that was a fantastic way to show us the twists in the story and how they are personally affecting each person. I don’t like “rewriting” the story to tell you about it so that I don’t write spoilers, so I want to let you know that K.C is worth reading. Her descriptions are good and it is easy to get into the voice of the characters so that you want to keep turning the pages. I am hopeful that there will be more books along this series. I would enjoy learning more about the Adirondack wolves. I was gifted this book in exchange for an honest review.
This was a refreshing fun book to read. I'd pretty much given up hope on finding a new werewolf book that a) wasn't a freaking porno, and b) that I actually enjoyed reading.
It is a typical storyline of broken women meets broken werewolf but it was still really fun and enjoyable to read. I really like Stewart's writing style and her the way she gives her characters depth and how they interact with the plot.
There were some typos but not so many that it made it difficult to read or understand. I'm looking forward to the next book in the series.

I really liked this book! It's very different from other wolf-shifter / human romance books I've read. For starters, Sadie spent most of her time in the book with the wolf version of Fred/Tyson. They really bonded while he was in that form, without her knowing who he is. And I really liked that a lot.
The Review: This was a wonderful, short, clean read with a different slant on most shifter romances. The mains were both trying to overcome horrific pasts, with the hero wanting to give in to his primal side and let go of his humanity and the heroine wanting to escape the pains of her past and get back in touch with who she really is.
Sadie James is running from tragedy and when she moves from the big city of New York to a small town in the middle of Adirondack Mountain, she’s looking for peace and a fresh start. Encountering a pair of fighting wolves while taking a leisurely walk in the woods and then adopting a stray, wild wolf who quickly becomes her silent confidant wasn’t exactly what she had in mind by a fresh start. And capturing the attention of a local wildlife officer who seems a little to interested for her liking certainly wasn't on her to-do list.
Tyson Cartwright is running from his sins. After dispensing the law in his pack as enforcer and taking a life he can’t escape from, he’s running wild, hoping the wolf quickly takes over his humanity so he doesn’t have to endure the emotional pain of what he’s done. Stumbling across a smart-mouth human in the middle of his forest wasn’t on his agenda. Neither was protecting her or falling in love with her but fate has a way of laying down the laws and taking charge just when you’ve given up.
When I say this was a different kind of romance, what I mean is most of the book, Sadie has befriended Tyson who she affectionately refers to as Fred. Fred is in wolf form for most of this book, so we get Sadie’s one sided conversations with Tyson’s human like reactions and snark. I loved this twist to the romance. Sadie finds she can confide in Tyson, mostly because she thinks he truly is just a wild wolf. But things quickly escalate and dangers arise and soon, Tyson has to decide if he wants to stay wild or come back to life and be human for the woman he’s fallen in love with.
I enjoyed how this story played out. I enjoyed the characters, the plot and I loved the townspeople. I also really liked how you just couldn’t tell what Tyson was thinking, how feral he had turned and I loved wondering how he was going to come back from the wild side to keep what was his.
My only complaint was I didn’t like how it ended. It was abrupt and short and I wanted to see more of the romance between Sadie and Tyson as a human, where he could talk and express his emotions verbally. The author does a great job of conveying who Tyson is as his wolf, but I wanted more of the romance between the two and I wanted to see life after their human connection.
All in all, this was a great read by a new-to-me author. I can’t wait to read more of this series.

***THIS BOOK WAS GIVEN TO ME IN EXCHANGE FOR AN HONEST REVIEW***
Good story, strong characters. I like that this is a companion series where each book has an ending. I'm not a fan of cliffhangers but love book series where each book is a stand alone story, where it involves a couple and has the rest of the supporting characters that in turn get their own book.
This is a good paranormal series for those that want an adult theme but not full on sex scenes.
The main character is Sadie, who after a traumatic event in her home town has moved to the sleepy town in the Adirondacks. After having enough of unpacking she takes a walk in the woodland surrounding her house, she mistakenly walks into the path of a Wolf...
When she thinks her time is up and she is going to be 'Wolf tucker' she looks death (or Wolf) straight in the eye, when another wolf suddenly appears and fur flies, when its all over the new wolf isn't interested in eating her, more like seeing her home!
Sadie ends up adopting the 'Protective Wolf' she calls "Fred" she feels a connection to him, and feels safe in his company.
What makes this story different is it focuses on the relationships, I felt drawn to Sadie, although she is beaten by her past she refuses to lay down and die, she is a fighter and has taken the brave step of leaving her family and the reminders of her attack to start again - where she can walk down the street without everyone knowing what happened. She knows it is going to be a long road but she is ready to walk it.
There is more than meets the eye when it comes to "Fred" he's an Enforcer from the local shifter pack of wolves who has been stuck in wolf form since he had to kill his sister for betraying the pack. Tyson AKA Fred was ready to give into the blackness and go 'Feral' until he ran across Sadie in the woods, now he feels a connection, the need to protect her and sees that they are two broken souls trying to get by day by day.
When Ranger 'Jack' appears and is interested in Sadie, she reluctantly agrees to meet him 'as friends' at the local bar... she should have listened to her gut feeling, and 'Fred's' instant hatred for him as he is not to be trusted.
To find out more about what happens next, buy the book and read on, I read this book in one sitting as I just didnt want to put it down, and I look forward to reading more of the series.
There are not that many PNR books out there that are 'Sex Free' so if you love Shifter stories but prefer the romance of a relationship then this book is for you.

Despite the slow start (and the odd decision to repeat the entire part 1 in the second part from Tyson’s POV rather than interspersing the POV’s together in part 1) I was still quite enjoying this low key shifter romance until we got to the whole
Talk about jumping out the frying pan into the fire!! Sadie James is trying to find some peace from the demons still haunting her from a recent traumatic event. Whilst trying to embrace her new found freedom with a walk in the woods she ends up at the mercy of a rabid wolf or so she thinks….
Enter Tyson; now the quintessential lone wolf following the death of his sister at his own hand. He’s trying to outrun the weight of decisions made by turning to the other half of his soul; his wolf.
So what’s a gal to do when she finds herself in a life or death situation?! Well, you’ll have to read it to find out as I don’t want to ruin the journey for you!!
I thoroughly enjoyed this shifter book; especially the way it was told in dual POVs even when Tyson was in wolf form. I loved hearing his thoughts and experienced a few LOL moments with his dry wit and observations.
It also really touched at my emotions as Sadie doesn’t realise the impact she is having on Tyson or the ‘healing’ her presence is having on his psyche:
“His world ended and began anew with that simple gesture.”
Yet, the same can be said for the effect of Tyson on Sadie:
“He came for her. He saved her.”
What really summed up the feeling of this book for me was at the end when Tyson simply states:
“I love you because I am the best version of myself when you are near me.”
All in all, I couldn’t recommend this book enough and look forward to reading more by this author. I can’t wait to find out more about the pack in the upcoming stories to see what they have to say!
The only reason I couldn’t give it the full 5 stars was due to some typos which detracted from the moment when I was reading but don’t let that put you off!
