She wants to be independent. They want her. If only it were that simple.
I’m not looking to fall in love. The rules are clear for omegas on a college no fraternizing with athletes. No posing a distraction. No exceptions.
So what if my older brother is a professional rugby player and vice-captain of the Willow Falls Wolves? I’m not some simpering omega hanging around the rugby pitch in between classes, waiting for one of his teammates to glance my way. I’ll turn up to support him—because I love the sport—but that’s where I draw the line.
However, it turns out, there are three alpha-sized problems I can’t seem to avoid … Scotland’s hottest rugby export is the persuasive, charming, superstar fullback who sets his sights on me—simply refusing to take no for an answer. Adding to my problems, my brother’s best friend is the starting center for the Wolves—broody, sullen, with a giant chip on his shoulder to match his enormous thighs. To make matters worse, there’s Mr. Handsome and Perfect, a retired rugby legend who owns the team—oh, and he’s my ex-boyfriend’s dad.
As hard as I try to run the other way, our worlds collide, and despite the risks, they tempt me to break every rule. Even though a pack is the last thing I’m looking for, I don’t know if we can fight the attraction we share.
Will this be a moment that passes me by? Or will I let them win my heart?
LOOK TO PASS is a MMFM why choose rugby romance. It is part of the Willow Falls omegaverse world, full of swoon, scorching heat(s), and sweetness.
DNF @ 51% / 51 chapters read -- which let me remind y'all means I've read over 400 pages of this book.
The only reason for a romance book to be so damn long is if it is a slow burn or there is an actual plot. We have neither. We have the main character letting her scent matches they can't be together (for valid reasons) while being in a relationship with them. istg they've been in a relationship since... at least 30%??? I kind of want to say 25% with the caveat being the one alpha who wonders why she doesn't look at him or find him interesting when girlie literally thinks he HATES HER since he ignores her. I suppose they are a slow burn, but it is practically nothing since they don't interact. He's had 4 (I counted) POV chapters in 51-- FIFTY-FUCKING-ONE chapters. I believe they've had 3 scenes together, one of which he just sat in the car and said literally nothing, and one text exchange, in I REPEAT over 400 pages!
This book started out soooo good and I do like the characters, I swear I do. I'm so interesting in the stories for the roommates. I just need a goal, a plot, something the characters are striving for. Hell, if they talked more about their situation and how to make it work instead of hiding and fearing the day her brother finds out (Why wouldn't he be happy she found her scent matches???), I might have been able to finish it. If it focused on Wren trying to balance getting through school while being physically pained with her scent matches going away for games, I'd be down for that too! At this point, it feels like they are ignoring the problems and it'll bite them in the ass at 80% so we can have some angst before getting over it.
what to expect: - omegaverse - ex boyfriend’s dad - MMFM - inconvenient scent matches - pro rugby players - college town
⤷ WOAH!!!🤯 this emoji is the best way to describe how I felt reading this book. this was my first omegaverse read and I was honestly shocked at first 🫢 but it was really fun and intense.
at first, the length of the book felt a bit daunting, but once I started, I found it surprisingly hard to put down.
˚₊‧꒰ა 📖💭 ໒꒱ ‧₊˚ 𝓉𝒽𝑜𝓊𝑔𝒽𝓉𝓈:
i fear that if i say too much, i’ll end up dropping spoilers.
⌞🩵⌝ ┊𝑾𝒓𝒆𝒏 𝑴𝒖𝒓𝒑𝒉𝒚 was sassy, determined, self-reliant, hyper-independent, and stubborn, I saw a bit of myself in her. omegas aren’t particularly accepted in this college town because of the harsh and unfair assumptions people have about them, especially from the betas.
she really didn’t want to give in to forming a pack… but you can never really deny a scent match.
these men loved Wren so much. i loved how different their personalities were, but they all cared for her in their own ways. as alphas, their instinct is to protect and take care of her, and it really showed.
⌞🩶⌝ ┊𝑻𝒉𝒆𝒐 𝑩𝒓𝒆𝒏𝒏𝒂𝒏 or should i say 𝘥𝘢𝘥𝘥𝘺. he’s protective, bossy, and completely down bad. he’s just wonderful, he cares so much about Wren that he doesn’t even think twice before putting her needs before his. despite Wren being half his age, he always treated her like her own person, and she called the shots when it mattered. ugh!! this man is everything 🤭
⌞💙⌝ ┊𝑪𝒐𝒏𝒏𝒐𝒓 𝑹𝒆𝒏𝒇𝒐𝒆, 𝘴𝘤𝘰𝘵𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘥 he’s confident and bold. right from the jump, the banter between him and Wren was everything!!! she gets really sassy with him and he loves that about her. his nickname for her and the way he says it?? had me folding.
⌞💛⌝ ┊𝑨𝒕𝒍𝒂𝒔 𝑷𝒂𝒍𝒂𝒎𝒐, 𝘢𝘤𝘦 he comes off as this cold, grouchy guy. reading from his perspective made me understand him so much more because without it, i probably would’ve just thought he was uptight. there are so many layers to him, and he takes yearning to a different level!
❝𝙎𝙝𝙚’𝙨 𝙨𝙤 𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙛𝙚𝙘𝙩, 𝙨𝙝𝙚’𝙨 𝙢𝙮 𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙛𝙚𝙘𝙩, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙄’𝙢 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙡𝙪𝙘𝙠𝙞𝙚𝙨𝙩 𝙗𝙖𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙧𝙙 𝙞𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙡𝙙 𝙩𝙤 𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙛𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙙 𝙝𝙚𝙧.❞ and i just 🧍🏽♀️ sat there after reading this
ˋ°•*⁀➷ the chemistry between Wren and her men was amazing. they were always so attentive to her and her needs, which felt really thoughtful and natural within their dynamic.
what always gets me is how they refer to her as “my girl” or “our girl”… it never fails to get me 🫠
this is also my first MMFM book, and it was so well written. i loved how the MMCs slowly grew into their own bond with each other outside of Wren, it really felt like a pack forming.
i did have to do a bit of research on omegaverse before starting because it was new to me, but i’m glad i did.
thankfully I enjoy a lot of spice, so I ended up getting into it more than I expected. this was such a ride. i wouldn’t recommend this if you only like clean or minimal spice in books.
i also loved Wren’s friends, Nikita and Gabbie!!! they were always there for her and their friendship felt like real sisterhood ❣︎
thank you so much @fernoliver & @lunalit.management for the eARC
₊ ⊹🏈₊ ⟡ ݁₊ .𝙥𝙧𝙚-𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙙: this is technically my first “why choose” arc and i really like the blurb already. i’m so grateful to have received this arc 🥹 i also just realized how long it issss, but hopefully the pacing makes it fly by fast ♡
I'm not much for sports, but recently found out thanks to a specific series that I read.... I kind of like them... This one definitely didn't shy away from anything in the sports area and made it a big part of the story, I can't testify to if any of the rugby information is correct as I know nothing about sports but the authors writing did make it easy for me to have my own mental visuals of things happening during games and such. The book has some laughs, and definitely is a much more cozy vibe than other OV books I commonly read. This one isn't touching on the deeper topics of human trafficking and the like but it does touch on some topics to make changes to omega scholarships, the rugby circuit for pack dynamics and such. It is long yes, but that's not to uncommon. This book has A LOT MORE sexually explicit scenes than a lot of OV books I commonly read. I feel like once it happened, it definitely started happening OFTEN in this book where it may not have been absolutely necessary but at the same time scent matches do work differently than in some other ones I've read. One may be aware of a scent match while the other is not, another may feel it flare to life from the first moment they catch each others scents, and some could be together for years or weeks or months and suddenly it just happens, but they've had an undeniable connection prior. I do feel like the conflict within the story feels like it was dropped quite a bit or brushed aside. I wish it touched MORE on omega rights and their scholarships, as the spice did feel it overtook the plot for me.
For her friends it definitely seems there have been a lot of hints as to who is being paired up next. Now the hints I feel were more heavily dropped on Gabbie as there's a few moments that point to a specific alpha, and one or two that happen with Nikita. Nikita's book looks like it comes next though and I have some guesses as to where the direction is going on that one or at least the who.
If you like a chunky book, lots of explicit scenes, cozy sporty vibes, MMFM action, fighting for omega rights I'd recommend giving it a try. I found the story to be fun, it's definitely got it's spice, and I'm curious to how the next books will go.
Interesting premise and four diverse, likeable MCs… but oh so self-indulgent and in need of editing at a whopping 803 pages! There were insufficient twists and turns or revelations - this is not a sweeping saga - to sustain the plot over that expanse, and I nearly DNFd. The book could have easily been half that length, and a stronger, more compelling read as a result. Almost everything was clear from the first few chapters of this RH, OV sports romance. Think of it like starting to watch a new 10-episode series, but little changes after episode two, with the same issues and tensions on repeat, spicy scenes only slightly altered and sparse character development (beyond their bonds). And by the end, a key antagonist still had not really been dealt with other than a throwaway line. I also spotted quite a few grammatical errors (and the odd missing word). There was a fair bit of foreshadowing of where subsequent books will head, featuring the FMC’s two omega friends; I hope they are more concise tomes, with tighter plots and stronger character growth. 2.75 stars but had potential to rate higher.
I gave it a chance to make me interested enough to continue, but I’ve realised it must be not for me. I don’t feel the vibes, it’s hard for me to get into it, and my main problem is that it’s too long.
But huge thanks to the author and Luna Literary Management for sending me this ARC.
The whole time I’m reading this and I don’t know if it’s just me but this book seriously gave me Pucking Around vibes but take out the hockey and make it rugby and did I tell you that it’s omegaverse?
I totally signed up for this when I found out one of her alphas was her jerk of ex’s dad. Theo was the perfect beginning to her forming peck. He is such a caregiver and I’m such a sucker for a man that takes care of you. I mean, he is the Daddy of the pack.
Atlas aka Ace and Connor. These two had me all giddy from the first kiss in the library to Connor bonding her (favorite scene ever) to just all the emotional feels. I just love how even with Connor being an entertaining alpha to say the least, this man was so needy and I was here for it. Also, the bathroom scene with Theo and Connor and the elevator scene with Atlas and Connor. Can you tell I love a lot of the MM moments?!
Atlas - I just wanted to hug him because the fact he knew they were scent matches for a long time and she didn’t. Ugh. His whole chaperone moments was too cute.
And yall, the nicknames that they give to one another. She didn’t just get the nicknames but they also had some for the guys. I’m a fan of endearments for one another. Bambi was my favorite.
I’m a huge fan of how when her omega comes out because you get to see how internally what she’s like.
The ending was absolutely cute. I need Wren’s brother’s story because I have a feeling it is going to be perfect. He won on me for his little scene with the little meeting towards the end.
The way that the found family is portrayed is portrayed, especially when the team protected her at the end.
The way they these men loved Wren was perfect because they would do anything.
When a big bish has me in a chokehold and I finish an 800 page book in a day and a half, you just know you’re going to have a good time. It has all the good feels and made me want more.
This book had so many cute moments and I was so sad that it was over. And did we get a glimpse of Wren’s sister meeting her scent matches? I cannot wait for the next book.
I received a copy of this book and this is my honest review.
I went into this with zero expectations and ended up being pleasantly surprised. I think I was just in the right mood for it because I usually don’t enjoy fast burn romances but thought this was fun. A Why Choose Omegaverse romance where every member falls in love with one another was so cute. This is over 800 pages long and I finished it within a day shows how much it hooked me. There wasn’t much of a plot but I loved all the characters. I’m so excited for all the side characters to get their stories too after all the breadcrumbs that were dropped in this one.
Honestly, I speed skimmed the last 250 pages. This felt emotionally shallow, and the relationship between Atlas and Connor was underdeveloped. I don't feel like I got to know these characters well at all.
I'm still unclear why omegas are treated as they are in this world. Of course there would be professional alpha athletes that are in packs. Of course omegas would meet their mates during college. Why were these things restricted to begin with?
A reluctant 3 stars. This could have and should have been 300 pages shorter.
This is bitchy (and I don't care) but the money spent on the (wonderful) character art should have been spent on a developmental editor.
Three forbidden scent match alphas and one omega…what could go wrong?! What could go right 😜😮💨
Wren is on an omega scholarship at the same campus as her brother’s rugby team. There are strict rules for omegas which she has no intention of breaking…until she meets her scent match…and then two more. Navigating heats, emotions, forbidden relationships proves to be much more than Wren or her guys ever bargained for.
These four absolutely stole a piece of my heart. All of their journeys were so different but I loved each and every one. Daddy Theo, Big Guy Con and Broody Atlas aka swoon, swoony and swoonier?? I loved how not only they were devoted to their omega but also to each other. Truly a cohesive and beautiful pack dynamic 🖤 also that second heat group scene will live rent free in my brain FOREVER 😮💨😮💨😮💨 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Dare I say Fern could be a new comfort read author for me??? This was such a cozy delight I never wanted it to end 🥲
Move over hockey, rugby is my new favorite sports romance! Is there a better combination than short shorts, strong thighs, and obsessed alphas? I think knot (pun very much intended).
Buckle up because you’re in for a long ride. This book was over 800 pages long but I throughly enjoyed it.
This book had all the things I love in omegaverse books. Obsessed alphas who want to dote on their omega, inconvenient heats, and so much spice! But I also loved the new take on an omega’s place in the world.
Did I mention this book was spicy? Because holy forking shirtballs this book was hot! I love when the boyfriends are also boyfriends. The tension between Ace and Connor has me ready to lock them in a storage room together. The chemistry between Connor and Theo scorching hot. And of course the three of them were completely obsessed with Wren making the group scenes incredibly hot. 🥵
I already can’t wait for the next book in the series. The snippet at the end of the book has me so excited for Nikita’s book!
Whew, what a beast of a book. 800 pages definitely caught me off guard. Overall, it's a comfy polyamorous omegaverse sports romance. As you can expect of a book of this size, it's got some pacing issues, scenes dragging on for much longer than they should. But the foundation is solid.
It's got some open ends and plot holes, like
I enjoyed that all characters are bisexual. To me, it makes much more sense for a pack to also be into each other, instead of just a reverse harem. Gives the relationships more dynamic.
I'll keep an eye out for the sequels. There have been some intense hints dropped who the next pairings are gonna be.
I ended the book with over 100 highlights! I had experienced every emotion during this read, the writing/story telling was PHENOMENAL!
I loved every single character! Absolutely no one fell behind or blended together, they were all so incredibly well thought out and distinct, you could genuinely pull them out of a crowd with how well developed they were.
I’m beyond in love with this series, I cannot wait for the next books!

This is a sports MMFM. Wren’s men each had their own personalities. Each one cared for her in their own way. She was sassy and stubborn. Each guy met her needs as they saw she needed it. Theo was the bossy protective one, Connor didn’t let anything hold him back and Atlas was your grump. They are were perfect together.
DNF at 72% Aka 586 pages. This was kinda good but it's way. too. long for not that much plot. They're all together already, so we're just waiting for the big discovery and drama then the end, but there has been so MUCH fillers I can't take it anymore.
I’m not sure if it was the length of the book that got me at 800+ pages, but I felt like there was a lot of nothing being said/happening for a good majority of this book. As for an OV novel, it wasn’t terrible, but I don’t think I would read the next one if it had a similar layout to this one.
💔 3.25 "I've Been Deceived" Stars 💔 *Me throwing tomatoes at this book.*
Either this author doesn’t know the difference between MMFM and MMMF, or she deliberately lied to us.
⚠️ MMFM means there are two bisexual males and one straight male. That means there is at least one male in the harem who is exclusively focused on the FMC. MMMF = Poly relationship. It means all of the males are bisexual and involved with each other sexually in some form. 99% of the time I don't read those type of books. Normally, MMMF books focus too heavily on MM content, and I’m not interested in that at all.
⚠️ So this story is MMMF, and Conner, one of her alpha mates, unexpectedly becomes the center of the pack at around 80% into the story. I swear they turn him into an almost-omega, and it honestly made me want to rage quit. He became the center of attention anytime the pack was together. At the very least, Wren deserves to be the center of attention during her own heat.
I don’t read anything beyond very light MM/FF content because of my own trauma as a young teenager in a non-con situation. Author's lying about this stuff matters.
Besides all of that, I enjoyed the story. I loved the characters. I liked the plotline.
However…
‼️ Apparently, the author doesn’t understand how professional sports leagues are structured.
⚠️ Since when does a team owner answer to his general manager and call him “sir” like he’s the boss of bosses? The GM is hired and employed by the team owner. The team owner is the boss of everyone.
⚠️ The way this was written, Theo (MMC) should have been the GM, and Braun should have been the owner. The plot doesn’t make sense the other way around. Theo didn’t seem like a billionaire, but Braun certainly did. Team owners are almost always billionaires.
⚠️ Also, Braun had the kind of community and league influence that makes sense for a team owner, not a GM. Theo didn’t have that influence.
‼️‼️ And since when does the board—who is lower in the hierarchy than the owner—hold the team owner to account? Since when does the GM decide if the team owner is punished? "The owner is the top authority of the franchise, and the team executives exist only because the owner allows them to." Does this author know nothing about how professional teams work? The team owner could replace all of them because he employs them.‼️
This kind of mistake makes me want to start throwing tomatoes again.
Sooo… read this book if you like pro-sports omegaverse stories, age gaps, scent matches, forbidden-love, and heavy MM relationships starting at about the 80% mark... but don't mind all of the other things I mentioned.
***This was a solid 4-star read until 80% into the story.*** ⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻⸻
There was a lot that I liked about this book - but it could have been so much more with a bit of editing, a little restraint, and a slight tweak to a few beats. The writing is articulate and interesting, the premise promising, the author has a clear voice.
The following is intended to be helpful! So - if the author reads this - I’m hoping this will be taken as suggestions to help them with the sequel (which I do intend to read!)
I love omegaverse that can be read through a critical lens to mirror cultural and social issues in the real world. When I started this book, I was really hopeful that this was going to be one such book.
Over 800 pages later, I was a bit disappointed to find that it wasn’t.
This book has a lot going for it. It just got a bit lost in the weeds on its way there. Don’t get me wrong - it would have benefited from either a serious edit or being split into 2 books. I don’t know exactly how long it is, but I would be surprised if it came in at under 200k words. It’s a massive read, and while a lot of the spice is good, it’s hard to find the time or concentration span to read this in a sitting - and the nuances of this book mean that if you break it across sittings.
But this isn’t I couldn’t give it a higher rating. The plot engine for the book is that the FL’s scholarship comes with strings - she can’t date athletes. So having athlete scent matches confounds this somewhat. There was such a missed opportunity here for the FL to mirror the action of the athletes on the field, for change to be driven - but instead, it all happens around her and her pack, while they sit passively by, and rely on the action of others. The whole issue with her scholarship is resolved with a single phone call from a man who happens to like her because she offered him a seat one day, and a woman who she knows from volunteering.
Reading this through a feminist lens - it just reinforces that old message of ‘keep being nice and eventually good things will happen.’
The book also seemed to forget about her schoolwork - no mention of exams, no penalty for missed classes, no indication of semester breaks, no consequences for late assignments or homework.
I also was really uncomfortable with the way heats were represented. Rather than being animalistic urges, the temporary triumph of the id over the ego and superego (the way heats are usually framed and the way it was described earlier in the book, when her pack talked about her not being able to consent while in heat and being non-verbal), it was like she had a split personality - her inner voice was perfectly articulate, even breaking the fourth wall to crack jokes with the reader. It made her seem like she had multiple personality disorder.
Readers who want a spicy read they don’t want to think too deeply about, have time on their hands, and want to know more about rugby (and enjoy the mental image of a man with thick, strong thighs in tight shorts - because I will definitely give the author that, she did that extremely well) might enjoy this book.
ARC REVIEW I've been waiting for this book for almost a year ever since I saw a TikTok about it, so my expectations were very high. Wren is an omega college student living in a small town obsessed with sports. She ends up scent-matched to two professional rugby players and the owner of the rugby team—who also happens to be her ex's father. Oh, and did I mention the rugby players are her brother's teammates? To make things even messier, omegas are forbidden from fraternizing with athletes in town or they risk losing their scholarships. The forbidden romance aspect was working overtime in this book. First things first: this was incredibly well written, and the chemistry between Wren and her men was fantastic. Each member of the pack brought something completely different to the dynamic. Connor was easily my favorite. Between his obsessive personality, complete lack of impulse control, and Scottish accent, I was absolutely sold. Theo gave off major caretaker energy—the kind of man who's always thinking ten steps ahead and making sure everyone is taken care of while remaining that steady, dependable presence. And Atlas? The quiet, broody best friend of her brother who spent most of the book hopelessly pining? Yeah, my heart hurt for him. That said, my biggest issue was the pacing. This book is long, and it felt like the main plot didn't truly start moving until the last 15%. The entire story builds up the stakes surrounding the pack being discovered, only for most of the major conflict and resolution to happen within the final hundred pages. For me, that made everything feel rushed after such a long buildup. Atlas's storyline especially felt drawn out. He doesn't fully work through his issues or become part of the pack until around the 60–70% mark, which left me wanting more development between him and the others earlier in the story. And speaking of that—I desperately needed more of Theo and Connor together. And Connor and Atlas. The MM dynamics were genuinely some of my favorite parts of the book, but they were introduced so late that it felt like we only got a glimpse of what those relationships could have been. I also would've loved a little more depth when it came to the guys' backgrounds and personalities. They each had distinct roles within the pack, but I wanted more of what made them them outside of their relationship with Wren. And finally... Gabi, girl, I see you. I'm already calling it with Finch and that hot professor. Also, are we all just going to ignore Wren's sister and those hockey players? Because I definitely haven't. Overall, despite some pacing issues, I had a great time with this one and completely understand why it's gotten so much hype. The characters, chemistry, and forbidden romance drama kept me invested from beginning to end.
Look To Pass by Fern Oliver ⭐⭐⭐⭐.5 | 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ ⤷I could barely put this book down once started, despite it being the longest book I've read so far this year, with around 800 pages. Surprisingly, I really like the pacing of the story, given its length; it gave the characters time to build intimacy and get to know each other at their own pace, even with the high heat and the secrecy of their relationship. Also, the pacing and the forbiddance of fraternization for Wren really helped to build up the tension and burn with the guys, especially Atlas. I absolutely fell for Connor, Theo & Atlas, and really enjoyed how different and unique they were, while also seeing them work together as a pack team.
⤷ This is a partial review. I will update it once I get to read the epilogue.

Omegaverse Why Choose MMFM⚔️ Sports Romance Ex- Boyfriends Dad Pro Rugby Players Alphas x Omega Scent Matches Brother’s Best Friends Cute Nicknames Forced Proximity Secret tattoo Banter and Spice Heats & Knotting Cozy No Third Act breakup
Wow! I really enjoyed this book! New to me author and will absolutely be reading more of her work! This book is set in the world of professional rugby meets college town. You have dynamics between Alphas and Omegas and some troublesome betas. I will say this is the longest Omegaverse standalone I’ve read at almost 800 pages. I felt the pacing was natural, it allowed for their relationships to develop organically not only with the FMC but with each other (alpha x alpha) as well.
Wren Murphy is an independent omega on an omega scholarship. She’s living with two other omegas that have grown to be fast friends- Nikita and Gabriella. She’s determined to keep her head down and finish college and not have any distractions. Enter the golden retriever, Scottish rugby hottie Conner who is smitten with her almost instantly without even knowing her name. Their meet cute was adorable! Then while they’re at her brother’s rugby match.. she runs into her scent match but it’s compacted because she learns in real time it’s her (awful) ex’s dad. Later in the story she finally learns about her other scent match who is her brother best friend and has harbored for years that he knew she was his scent match but that she never recounted their bond. How that plays out is beautiful. Conner and Atlas aka Ace are both bisexual but never had engaged with each other. I loved Conner and Aces chemistry when they finally give into their feelings. They’ve been close friends and roommates for years. These men are the definition of “if he wanted to he would”. They adore Wren and only want the best for her and are so supportive. Likewise she is just as supportive of them and their careers. There is a lot of the plot at their rugby games (which I had no clue what the sport was about despite knowing a lot about American sports I was clueless when it came to rugby) The author did a great job describing the game and rules during the story. The girl gang- LOVED them! I cannot wait for Nikita to get her book because she had me cackling every time she opened her mouth! And I picked up on the Gabby x Finch crumbs there has to be something brewing there! 😬😬
The pack chemistry?! OFF the Charts!!🥵🔥🔥 to me this had the perfect spice to plot balance for an omegaverse! I LOVE when boyfriends are boyfriends! It adds so much to the dynamic! Wren loved it too! Oh and a Daddy k!nk… yes please! Plenty of dirty talk, and k!nky spice!!
No third act break up but we do get some drama at the end from some annoying betas trying to stir up trouble! I liked how that played out for the pack!
I really enjoyed how this story wasn’t rushed and allowed everyone equal time and POVs. The relationships happened organically between all of them. I cannot wait for their epilogue! And for more from this author! If you love cozy Omegaverse, why choose, sports romances then I cannot recommend this enough!
Thank you so much to Luna Literary Management and Author Fern Oliver for the eARC in exchange for a honest review. All opinions are my own.

ARC REVIEW Look to Pass by Fern Oliver ⭐⭐⭐⭐¼ (4.25/5)
I really enjoyed this why choose omegaverse rugby romance. At a little over 800 pages, this could have easily felt overwhelming, but instead it gives every relationship the time and development it deserves. This is truly a pack romance in every sense of the word—every member builds meaningful connections with the others, and watching them slowly figure out how they all fit together, emotionally and physically, was incredibly satisfying. I ate it up.
Wren is such a fun FMC. She’s ambitious, independent, and not remotely looking for a pack when the story begins. In fact, she actively resists her growing connections with Theo and Connor because she’s terrified of jeopardizing her future at school. I also appreciated that her storyline extends far beyond heats and attraction, which can sometimes dominate omegaverse romances. Between classes, volunteering at the animal shelter, bonding with her omega friends, and maintaining a close relationship with her sister, Wren feels like a fully realized character outside of the romance.
Theo brings the sexy older “Daddy” energy in the best way. He’s protective, dependable, and naturally slips into the role of caretaker for the pack—moving everyone into his house, preparing Wren’s nest, and making sure everyone feels safe and supported. What I really loved, though, is that despite the age gap, he never talks down to Wren or treats her like she’s incapable. There’s a maturity to him that balances the group dynamic really well.
Connor is pure golden retriever flirtation from the second he meets Wren. This man is gone for her immediately, and I loved how open he is about his feelings—not just for Wren, but for the developing connections within the rest of the pack too. He’s warm, affectionate, and brings so much lightness to the story. And honestly, the Scottish accent? Fatal.
Ace rounds out the pack with the broody, forbidden energy. As Wren’s older brother’s best friend, there are already years of tension and familiarity between them before things truly shift. He’s been orbiting her life forever, but once the scent match happens, all of that buried attraction and protectiveness finally rises to the surface. The slow progression of their relationship worked really well for me.
Overall, this was a super immersive MMFM omegaverse romance with strong relationship development, great pack dynamics, and enough emotional connection to support the massive page count.
Thank you to the author and Luna Literary for providing an ARC!
One Omega, Three Alphas circling, a no fraternizing rule, and an ex who needs to be put in his place. What could possibly go wrong? Okay first of all, holy moly is there spice. I haven’t read an omegaverse with this much spice in awhile. Wren is on an omega scholarship and because of that there are all these stupid rules the omegas have to follow. It’s complete and utter crap that they can’t fraternize or date an of the professional athletes on campus. Why do they have to have such stupid rules like that when the Betas and Alphas don’t. Of course it wouldn’t be a great story without some complications. Wren is scent matched with not 1, not 2, but 3 Alphas. And her having that scholarship isn’t the only thing that makes it awkward and complicated. One of the Alphas, Theo, is not only the rugby team’s owner, but also her ex’s hot dad. Then we have the Scottish charmer, Connor, who plays on said rugby team, along with Wrens brother. Lastly we have the broody Alpha, Atlas, who is not only a player, but also the brother’s best friend. But finding your scent matches doesn’t care if there are rules in place and could cost everyone big time. These guys are so sweet and attentive to Wren. They do everything in their power to make sure her scholarship isn’t in jeopardy all while making her comfortable and loved. The little back and forth Wren and Connor have from the very beginning is so cute. I love how she got her nickname from him. The banter Connor had with Theo though out the book is hilarious and I loved how their relationship progressed.
Not only does Wren have the support of her Alphas, she has two amazing omega friends on campus. Gabbie is the quieter one out of the two, but no less supportive of her friends. Nikita on the other hand doesn’t have a filter. Whatever crosses that girls mind, she blurts out no matter where they are or who’s around. I can’t wait to read their stories. I have a few suspicions on who might be involved in their stories and I’m excited to see if I’m right or not.
I also loved how supportive her brother was. I for sure did not see the reaction he had when he found out coming. I totally thought it was going to go in a different direction. The love and support of the siblings is just amazing. It reminds me of my sister. It’s an amazing feeling to know that your sibling is there for you no matter what. That they will always support and love you.
I’m torn on a lot of this book. Overall I stand by my 4 star rating, but there were some issues.
When I first downloaded it, I didn’t see the page count. Then I got to 10% and it said 80 something pages! I read mostly OV, and almost always why choose books. One of the biggest problems with multiple MMCs is having them feel different and have personalities. Also, give them time to actually woo the love interest. Doesn’t always happen in a neat lil 320 page book. So, I was intrigued by the length of this one. However, I think it needed to be pared down.
There wasn’t enough tension, or external pressure, in the bulk of the book. The beginning sets up the big issues of Wren’s scholarship, her relationship with Theo’s son (see below), her brother, and their Rugby League rules. Those issues exist during the story, but nothing happens with them, aside from one or two little details that barely get page time. The brother went from being in every group scene to nothing midway through. Then, the issues all resolve themselves basically off-page.
Hundreds and hundreds of pages are spent on the male MCs not communicating their feelings with each other, or not communicating with Wren. I think the author set up Atlas with her scent match mechanics. His reasoning was sound, but it was weird. But, same for the way both male couples came together. They hid how they felt, and just whined about it in their heads.
Theo’s son Brett felt like he was added to the story to give it another taboo aspect. He’s the first male brought up in the story, as her ex. But, how did she even meet him? She lived on the West Coast until the story started, and he already went to school in Vermont. He only ever interacted with Theo twice- at the game, and at the gala. Theo says they have a strained relationship, yeah, they don’t see each other. There is absolutely no on-page conversation between Theo and Brett, despite Brett clearly needing a fatherly smack down. Also, Theo was such a steadfast character, doing everything he said he would do. So, at the beginning of the story he says he needs to have a conversation with his son….. And then, at the end if the story when they find out Brett was trying to take over the team (with what Rugby experience, exactly………) AND bad talk Wren, still no confrontation between father and son. Again, the slimy reporter didn’t need Brett to play his villain role.
Sheesh, I had a lot of negative things to say about a book I rated 4 stars.

Look to Pass
- MMMF Omegaverse - Alpha x Alpha x Alpha x Omega - slightly Rejected Mates - Heats… many of them - Yes, there is ⚔️
MY FIRST ARC READ GUYS!!! This was one of my most anticipated reads of the year as someone who absolutely LOVES omegaverse (i’ve been here since ao3), and will eat up any well-written omegaverse because they are few and far between. This was a great read, but it wasn’t five stars, unfortunately.
Look to Pass follows Wren, an omega college student in a small town that’s all about sports. She ends up being scent matched to two professional rugby players and the team owner of that rugby team (who is also her ex’s dad). Also, did I mention the two rugby players are her BROTHER’S TEMMATES?? Omegas are forbidden from fraternizing with any athletes in the town, or they lose their scholarship, so this was forbidden romance on soooo many levels.
This book was really well written, Fern is genuinely really talented. I had a fun, spicy, knotty time. The spice was AMAZING. Chef’s kiss. The alphas were swoony, protective, everything you’d want. (Theo is my favorite, as I expected)
But there’s a few reasons why this fell flat for me:
This was WAY too long for the plot to only develop by the last 15%. The entire book was spent in fear of anyone finding out about the pack and the EXTREMELY high stakes for everything to happen, work out, and be done in the last 100 pages, which made the pacing very weird for me. Atlas also doesn’t actually get past his issues and join the pack till like 60-70% of the book, which felt too drawn out to me because nothing was happening with him. He wasn’t there, and then he was. I REALLY NEEDED MORE OF THEO AND CONNOR TOGETHER!!! (and CONNOR AND ATLAS), the MM dynamics in this pack were really good but we only got like a sneak peek of them because they were developed so late in the book. I also feel we could've explored the guys' personalities and background a bit more but that’s okay.
Overall, I LOVED THIS. There’s a few issues that I think definitely don’t affect the reading experience, and I’m so excited to see what Fern does with the rest of the characters in this book! I need Gabbie and Finch’s book like.. RIGHT NOW.
