He was exiled by the Church. She was worshipped as a saint. Now they may be the end of everything.
Once a priest, Gabriel Bellamy now rules the shadows beneath a ruined cathedral—an underground fight club where the damned bleed to feel alive. Here, violence is penance. Blood is confession. Redemption comes one broken bone at a time. But salvation was never meant to be clean.
Then Izzy Montgomery walks into his sanctum like a prophecy in human skin. She’s not just fleeing a cult—she was its holy weapon, chosen to ignite the end times. Haunted by visions and hunted by zealots, Izzy doesn’t know whether she’s cursed or chosen, but she knows one the darkness inside her is waking up.
And it wants Gabriel.
Their connection is instant, feral—a collision of need and nightmare. Together, they are obsession made flesh, pain made sacred. But as Izzy’s powers grow and the cult tightens its grip, Gabriel realizes she may not be the woman who saves him—she may be the fire that burns down what little of his soul remains.
Because the prophecy doesn’t she’s not here to save the world. She’s here to end it.
And Gabriel? He’s either her protector, or her first victim.

This books concept was great but could have been handled better. This screamed more fantasy than dark. Where’s the dark romance? Gabriel sure wasn’t it. So many things happened and it gave me severe whiplash. Just seemed like the author was throwing shit together to try and make a story.
2 stars purely because I liked the idea of it. The delivery, unfortunately, was poor.
This was a very different dark romance than I'm used to. The story had many elements that were captivating and interesting. I was intrigued right from the start and the deeper I got the more captivated I became in this twisted suspenseful story. The characters were also very different from what I'm accustomed to and both dark and morally gray. I got spooky gothic vibes throughout.
Dual POV Instant attraction Steamy Check TW Both morally gray
A fight club as therapy, who would have thought? Looking forward to more from this series and the author.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I have a bunch of different feelings about this one.
1. AI narrated but it was good quality. 2. Several instances where the author got confused...1 minute shes against a wall but the next they are laying down etc. 3. The book isn't short by no means but it jumps and we miss the transition from point A to B. 4. Sex is hot! He most definitely is the man in charge!
I enjoyed sanctum of sins which was Gabriel and Izzy’s story. I thought it was a twisted suspenseful read. A little different dark than I’m used to. I received an early copy of the book. And voluntarily leaving this review.
This story started off well, but I had to dnf, as I felt everything was just rushed/moving to quickly, and too many other elements were added to try and get in more readers, which ended up taking away a good story for me.
