Welcome to Amoresville #1

Pumpkin To Talk About

Rate this book
Welcome to Amoresville, a small mountain town founded on love and filled with colorful characters.

All June needs in life is an open road, good tunes, and her trusty VW Van, Daisy. As a travel writer, she explores tucked away towns across the country. Her devoted social media followers love to tag along virtually as she uncovers hidden gems. Those faceless people on the other side of the screen are as close to a family as she has. When June hears about a wacky town in the northern mountains of Pennsylvania with an equally wacky name, she knows readers will eat up the local flavor and points Daisy in that direction.

As the eldest brother of the Halsted siblings, Knox doesn’t have time for a social life. And he doesn’t want one either. His family tree stretches all the way back to the founding of Amoresville. Hell, the town square was even built smack dab on the spot where his great-grand parents several generations removed consummated their love. Now, the fate of the family farm rests directly on his shoulders, nearly crushing him.

Can a dangerously curvy road, one giant pumpkin, and the town’s meddling cafe owner (AKA Knox’s mom) intervene to bring these two hyper-independent, stubborn people together?

Pumpkin to Talk About by Brandy Ayers
Welcome to Amoresville book 1
Releases 9/9!

Thank you to Hayling Bookstorm Ltd and Brandy for entrusting me with an early copy!

Small town spicy romance, forced proximity, giant pumpkin contests, banter, cozy coffee shop, found family, grumpy x sunshine, curvy FMC, MMC committed to keeping the family farm afloat, FMC traveling blogger/influencer, meddling (in the best way) family

June is a traveling influencer who just needs her trusty VW van, Daisy, and the open road to be happy. She is traveling to a quirky small town, Amoresville, when she has a run in with a grumpy local pumpkin farmer and one of his prize giant pumpkins. Unfortunately, Daisy is maimed and the giant pumpkin doesn't make it. With local amenities full due to a wedding, June ends up staying with Knox. Knox is wildly annoyed with June for costing him the pumpkin (and the money it could have brought in). But as they spend more time together, they each are fighting attraction because it won't be long before June and Daisy are back on the road.

This was such a cute, autumn read! I enjoyed all the characters (especially Knox's mother who was freaking awesome). June and Knox bickering and then falling was perfection. I love how supportive June was of Knox's farm and how much she helped him. And her journey for figuring out where she belonged. I hope to be able to return to Amoresville soon!

This was such a fun read! June amd Knox's love story is so cute! Filled with humor, deliciously spicy scenes and chemistry that is off the charts!

Also, I really want to learn how to grow jumbo pumpkins now!

I had the pleasure of reading this as my very first ARC! I’m so glad too because this was such a fun, funny and cute read. At only around 250 pages it felt like the perfect length without feeling rushed. The adventures start right away. The authors words make you feel like you are right there in this small town watching Knox and June fall in love. There is character building and character growth. I really enjoyed this and highly recommend.

First of all, the map legend that is given at the beginning of the book is to die for! I love having a visual map of what the town looks like and where places are located ❤️ This is the story of June, who is a travel writer, and loves to explore small towns that are hidden or not known. When June finds out about Amoresville, she is determined to go and explore what this town is all about. While driving to Amoresville, and on the phone with her mom, thanks to the blinding sunlight, she ends up turning the wheel so hard, and slams the brakes in order to not hit a pickup truck in front of her. Sadly, she has killed a giant pumpkin that Knox had been taking to get its weight. Knox is the oldest of the Halstead siblings and is an essential part of the town’s history and how it was founded.

So, when they both had the chance to calm down, they noticed who the other person is. And that instant attraction between those two was just so swoony, as if it was a scene from a rom-com movie ☺️ When they get into town, they stop by Knox’s mom’s place, and honestly, apart from those two, I absolutely love Roxy! She is so adorable, sweet, kind and just the right amount of spice 🤭 She also instantly notices that Knox and June have this intense attraction to each other when they are bantering and getting mad at each other. It’s obvious that other people can see that those two deserve each other, but the only two who can’t see it is Knox and June lol

I truly loved reading this book and feeling like I’m one of their friends who is alongside Knox and June’s journey of figuring out how they feel for each other. They are truly the complete opposites, but honestly that is the best type of relationship to have. To have someone who is the complete opposite and brings out the best in you, qualities or feelings you didn’t think you had until you met the other person. However, the ending of the book truly sends you into a rollercoaster of emotions (in the best way ever!) This was my first time reading a book by Brandy Ayers and I was not disappointed at all! She created this amazing town that I wish I can also visit and just stay there forever ❤️

This was a cozy fall read with a confident, curvy traveling vlogger FMC and a grumpy caring farmer MMC. The meeting of June and Knox was so funny with the smashing of a giant pumpkin. Their banter was so funny from start to finish, and the spicy scenes were really steamy. Each chapter the tension was rising and one event with a Canadian goose makes them get even closer. They were both too stubborn to accept it until they couldn’t deny it anymore. They are both very independent, and they don’t accept help from anyone, but they helped each other the more they got closer in such a short time. And maybe they got help from some family members.

Amorsville is a quirky town with colorful characters. The names of the businesses were just so funny and the story of the town was very romantic and wholesome. There’s some truth that June needs to accept with her family, and I really liked how Knox and June opened up to each other, talking about their past and their family life.

There were sad moments and moments when I wanted to shake both of them, but at the end, I think they got the ending that I was hoping for. Relationships started to rebuild, we had character growth, letting go of fears, and the hope of new projects and adventures.

Thank you Hayling Bookstorm and Brandy for the early copy. This is my honest opinion.

From start to finish, this book gave me major Stars Hollow vibes (hello, Gilmore Girls fans 🙌). The cozy small-town charm, especially the downtown decked out for fall, felt so nostalgic—growing up in northwestern Pennsylvania, I could picture it perfectly.

Roxy (Knox’s mom) completely stole the show with her humor 🤣, but the heart of this story was the raw emotion between June and Knox. My heart broke when June had to leave after he asked her to stay, and I felt every bit of her pain when she confided in Simone, Roxy, and her mom.

The love between June and Knox was undeniable from the moment they literally collided. Their joy, passion, and growth together was so beautifully written. I especially loved June starting the social media account to showcase Knox’s farm 🌾—such a sweet touch!

And that ending? Pure perfection 🥹✨. I could see it all playing out like a movie, wrapping up this heartfelt story with the sweetest bow.

She’s a travel writer on her way to a cute little town, driving a wee bit too fast and runs off the road trying to avoid a giant pumpkin, yeah you read that right. Anyway, long story short, she ends up with what would’ve been a prized winning pumpkin all over her van in the ditch, and is stranded there until her van is fixed. Of course the only place that has room for her, is his farm, and no this was not his idea. This is matchmaking at its finest. Of course these two are very attracted to each other, and have so much witty back and forth banter to prove it.

Great, cute and funny storyline with a quirky sexy couple that will draw you into all the shenanigans, and there are plenty of them. Loved the town, and all the side characters as well, especially his family. I think sometimes life puts us exactly where we are meant to be, and it’s up to us to embrace that experience in all its forms. I loved seeing these two get their unexpected and much deserved hea.

Welcome to Amoresville… a cozy little podunk town where the drama is misconstrued, the pumpkins are 𝒉𝒖𝒈𝒆 and the spice is aplenty.

If you love a curvy FMC who is full of sunshine, confidence and wit then June is the girl for you. Annnnd if you love a grumpy mountain man farmer MMC who’s possessive and names his pumpkins (and talks to them) then Knox is definitely for you.

When I tell you I flew through this arc, I FLEW. I could not put it down. It didn’t take long for the spice to start and let me tell you… she’s spicy 🥵 Literally the only thing wrong with June and Knox’s story is that it ended after 250ish pages… and @brandyayerswrites I WANT MORE! (Sorry, I didn’t mean to yell).

Honestly, 𝙋𝙪𝙢𝙥𝙠𝙞𝙣 𝙩𝙤 𝙏𝙖𝙡𝙠 𝘼𝙗𝙤𝙪𝙩 is another cozy, spicy fall read that must be on your TBR.

Also Cugo, the Canadian cobra chicken - LOVE him (as a fellow Canadian who deals with these guys). 😂

I am such a sucker for a small town romance, especially when everyone is in everyone’s business.

This book was such a fun quick read. The story starts out with a literal bang - straight into a pumpkin! What an hilarious meet cute. You gotta love June and her way of seeing the beauty in everything, including Knox. Knox as just a grumpy farmer who names his pumpkins and chickens, be still my heart.

All the side characters were hilarious, shoutout Knox’s mother, and working their hardest to bring these two together. I’m hoping we get more of the series because I need to learn more about all the side characters.

If you’re looking for a cute, quick read with a touch of autumn and pumpkins, this is definitely one to check out

Thank you to Hayling Bookstore, and Brandy Ayers for an advanced copy of this book. I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Do you want to come with me to Amoresville?
We can grab a Sweet Romance latte while browsing the spicy reads at Romancing the Bean Cafe. I heard the owners specialty is matching books with fun surprises. I also need a haircut but so does my dog so let’s stop by Cuts and Mutts so I can make an appointment. Afterwards we can stroll to the fountain and watch the lovebirds throw in their coins for good luck. Oh! I heard there are giant pumpkins at Halsted farm! Maybe we can get some cute pics for our social media. We just have to keep an eye out for the killer goose. I did book a motel for tonight but I’m going to cancel after reading the reviews!

I absolutely adored June and Knox’s story and can’t wait for the rest of the Welcome to Amoresville series! 💜🧡

What you’ll get:
Grumpy x Sunshine
Enemies to more
Small town romance

Spicy

Travel write June heard about Amoresville and thought that it would be a hidden gem that she could share with her readers.
Knox the eldest of the Halsted siblings (the family that is followed through the series), gets on her wrong side from the minute they met…

Emotional at times, this was a crazy, kooky and completely OTT story. Plenty of small town shenanigans, a bit of spice and a cute (ish) storyline.

Thank you Brandy and Hayling Bookstorm for the copy…

So refreshing and funny
I adored this story.
It was a mix of laughs, love, steaminess plus some sensitive issues all rolled into one story that made it so easy to keep me engaged and reading.
Add in two people that meet in extraordinary circumstances, a farmer that fell hard and fast for his woman (whilst trying to shield his heart), huge pumpkins, crazy family members, a nasty farm animal and this story really impressed me.
Loved both Knox and June’s story and look forward to more stories in Amoresville.
I thoroughly recommend reading this.

Pumpkin To Talk About is the ultimate autumn comfort read. It wraps you in small-town charm, golden leaves and the cozy rhythm of life on the farm.

June and Knox completely stole my heart. Their grumpy-sunshine dynamic is the kind of romance I’ll never get tired of. June’s warmth and light balance Knox’s broody edges so perfectly, and watching their connection grow is like sipping on the best pumpkin spice latte: sweet, a little spicy and exactly what you need this season.

What a fun and entertaining story. I loved June and Knox! When June crashes into Knox’s prize pumpkin and into his life nothing will ever be the same again. June is a nomad never staying in one place, but the small town of Amoresville and the beauty of Knox’s farm weave into her heart making her want things she has never wanted before. Can Knox convince this bright light and beauty to stay? This story is so heartwarming and and easy read. It kept me up late reading. I didn’t want it to finish. Loved the writing and banter and all the characters of the town that made it so fun to read.

What a great story. I loved June from the beginning, she was confident and did her own thing. She just kept doing her own thing throughout the story. Knox was a brute of a man, strong and no holds barred kind of farmer. He kept June kind of in-check which made their interactions so fun to read about. The entire cast of characters was so good I loved them all.

The scenes so well developed I could picture myself there with them. Sounds like such a small town but full of such characters that it would never be dull for sure.

I would recommend this book, with high heat, and good scenes.

June and Knox are happy accident waiting to happen!

This book had a choke hold on me. I couldn't put it down! I knew I was going to love it right from chapter 1.

June was driving her VW Van on a country road when she had a little accident that changed her life for the better.
Knox was about to leave his farm with a great pumpkin when he caught June by surprise.

What's going to happen when sunshine meets grumpy on a country road?

Read and see for yourself!

This was a great small town fall romance. I fell in love with Knox and June. June is a traveling writer who goes to places people haven’t heard about and then blogs about it on instagram. Knox is a pumpkin farmer. They meet when June runs into him and smashes his pumpkin. Knox has no time for social life until he meets June.

June runs into Knox (literally) and everything changes. June has a travel blog and was going to a small town that was recommended to her and she has an accident that leaves her to stay with the hot farmer. She did not expect to fall for him and he definitely fell hard and fast for her. Can this small town charm have June make a permanent home not on the road. This was a fast pace, cute, perfect Fall setting story.

This book was giving all the feels and all the fall pumpkin vibes. When I say this is a small town, I mean its a small town! June has no choice but to stay on Knox’s farm after a pumpkin smash crash. In doing so she starts to fall in love with having her own roots planted instead of living the nomad lifestyle. You'll find stubborn MC’s, a cranky goose, small town gossip, and a family you’d want to be apart of!

"SOUNDED" like a cute read

I thought the title sounded cute & it would be a "fun" read... After the 1st 20 pages, I was going to quit, thinking it would get better.. I like ROM / com / happy endings... I'm pretty, open minded, not a prude... but, IF I wanted to read such graphic encounters, I would have picked HUSTLER... Big turn off for me.. story was fun to read.. didn't need to read every " throbbing... " whatever...
Won't pick another from this author..

I loved everything about this book. The dimension of all the characters, the banter, the love, the laughs. All of it. I'm excited to see more about Orion in book 2, but the Halsted Family is fantastic and I cackled so many times with Roxy and Delia. June and Knox fell fast and hard and I'm glad I was along for the ride.

In the of words on June ~ “I freaking love this town!”

Truths ~ Omgourd, this book was such a joy to read! From the very first chapter, I fell in love with June, Knox, the quirky small town, the meddling mom, the guard goose, and of course, the giant pumpkins.

Brandy Ayes blends humor, heart, and just the right amount of spice into a story filled with witty banter and a beautiful sense of found family. Every page was a pleasure—warm, cozy, and absolutely delightful.

Do yourself a favour and add this to your Fall TBR.
