From USA Today and New York Times bestselling author, Evelyn Adams, For the Billionaire's Pleasure is a sexy new alpha billionaire series.

The only way for Luke to get his focus back is to get Claire into his bed – to feed the passion until he burns her out if his system.
Luke’s used to getting what he wants and what he wants is Claire. But will he realize in time that she’s also what he needs?
Wired: For the Billionaire’s Pleasure is a steamy contemporary romance with a hot alpha billionaire hero and a strong, sexy heroine he can’t keep his hands off of. It is full of adult language and plenty of hot sex.
New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Evelyn Adams loves coffee, her kids, Netflix, and books. Not necessarily in that order. If she's not writing steamy romances, she's chasing kids, reading, or binging Mrs Maisel
A. It's a cliff hanger (with no warning) B. It's part of a trilogy, and with each book at around 200pgs, the three of them really only make one slightly long book. C. The first one may be free, but the other two are $4ea. And with no real reason for them to be separate books... It screams 'cash grab'. D. While I did enjoy the story and characters for the most part, it really is just another one straight out of the cookie cutter press, and iced just slightly different than the rest. I don't have a problem with this in general, and actually enjoy seeing how authors can twist the same thing just a little bit and get something new... but then we come back to point a, b & c... money grab :(
It hasn't got me interested enough to buy two more books (especially at that price), and I have little doubt book2 will be another cliff hanger... And I'd almost be willing to put money on already knowing exactly where the story is going (it's very obvious) and of course, it's a no brainer where it will finish.
I loved everything about this story. It has a strong female lead(Claire) and an incredibly hot, sexy alpha male (Luke). This is the first book I've had the pleasure to read by miss Adams and it will definitely not be the last. I love Luke, he is successful, sexy, arrogant and he is used to getting what he wants. Claire is hard working, runs her own business, is sexy, independent and doesn't stand for any crap. I love the power struggle they both have both in business and in the bedroom. To say this is a great story just doesn't do it justice!
Claire has her own electrical company and is undertaking work for developer Luke and flipping a house at the same time. Luke decides he wants Claire and won’t take no for an answer. She is attracted to him and eventually gives in. There are some weird goings on at the work site with missing equipment and accidents. The house Claire is flipping is also vandalised. None of these issues are resolved at the end of this book which is annoying! There wasn’t a lot of depth or substance to this book. I might read the next in the series at some point but I don’t think I’ll be in a rush.
I admit to struggling with how to rate this book. There's a lot to recommend it including two interesting leads who definitely have chemistry. But there was a puzzling 'detachment' in the writing. Maybe because it's written in the the third person, I'm not sure. Other than that, my only complaint was that the author pushed the envelope a little too far with Luke's 'black mailing' of Claire to spend time with him. It squicked me the wrong way - and it should have affected Claire more than it did. 3.5 stars.
This book had potential. I really thought it could be something. Ugh. The book was all over the place to me. Will I won't I, I love you I hate you. Blah blah blah. Fast forward to the end and it is an incomplete book. I am so tired of half a story and calling it a book. First in a series means A and B complete story, second in a series is the story of C and D that had been introduced in book 1. Not a few chapters and nothing comes together. Evelyn Adams is on my do not read list. Maybe I will change my mind tomorrow.
I loved this book, I immediately loved Claire and Luke and their attraction to each other. The story was great, a woman who worked hard and didn't want the help from anyone, until it got too much for her and the decision was taken out of her hands. This book is full of hot and steamy scenes and ended surprisingly that I had to buy book 2 straight away and start reading.
I enjoyed the story, what their was of it. This was not a complete book and is part 1 of 4. I liked both of the characters and the conflict at Claire’s flip and Luke’s construction project but nothing was resolved and it ended on a cliffhanger. I won’t buy the next book.
Cliffhanger but I don't care what happens. The story is cliched and so are the characters. She overreacts to everything, he is boring. While the steam scenes are well written, he says one word and she loses her mind. He only talks at her not with her, and she has no conversation. Disappointing.
I didn't even get to chapter two. There was no story line just an arrogant ass that couldn't get past thinking how he was go to F her and get her to go down on him. I love a good romance and sex scenes do not bother me. However I'm not into porn.
This is not a complete book since it ends in a cliffhanger. The editing could use some work and there is misinformation about how social security works for self employed (the tax advisor in me coming out). It was ok as a light read if it had been a complete story.
I have over 9,300 books on my kindle. A few years ago I read this really great book and I left a rave on a,Aron but, for the life Of me, I couldn’t remember the title or author. Fortunately, I keep a list of books in my virtual keeper box...I just had to figure out which book it was. So one by one I go down the list and find Wired. THIS was the keeper I wanted to reread. I’ve come to realize that I personally, fall in love with a book when the man finds himself doing something small, to many irrelevant to other readers...it’s the minutiae that grabs me every time. Luke crawling on his knees looking for the pins was it for me. Most likely, it’s why I fell in love with this series in the first place. Claire is a fully formed woman...not girl books about 19 and 20 year olds just don’t do it for me. But Claire is so perfectly crafted by this author, she professional, loving, compassionate, smart and one lusty broad. Luke is such a great hero he should wear a cape.
Although the book has captured my attention and I am interested in finding out what is going on in the background story. What is going on at their jobsites and who is messing with their lives. The romance only being slightly affected by all this since both are strong independent people. I resented having to buy another book to get the rest of the story and find out that I was going to have to buy a third to get the whole story. Why not write the whole story and sell it to me for more than the price of the three and I would have still bought it and you would have been richer.
Some of the plot was very interesting - loved strong, capable Heroine Claire who was succeeding in male-dominated profession of Construction Contractor. However the insta-lust did not work for me. The Hero Luke was intended to be an Alpha, but there were times where it was not sexy; rather he was just an arrogant Alpha-hole and his controlling attitude was disrespectful. Sex at times was a bit too rough for my taste, and I found I ended up skimming over parts.
Interesting Heroine and plot, but relationship and steamy scenes were not my cup of tea. Warning - very abrupt cliffhanger ending to Book 1. Won't keep to re-read.
To be honest I did enjoy the book. I had a little problem with Luke how he only wanted to fuck her and then throws money around. I did wanted to know how it would end only to see the book end in a cliffhanger. There 3 more books before you will find out........... The writer shouldn’t have done that. If she would have done it in 2 books I definitely would have bought the other one. The story is to predictable to be done in 4 books and just to much money. Thank god the first one was for free. I won’t bother to buy the books or any other book by this author to be honest.
Almost rated it as amazing-- which it was in that I was fascinated by the characters and annoyed by the constant sex and outraged at the way this book ends with a character being killed off stage with the note at the end of the book that the next book would tell more of the story.
I'm pretty careful to not buy partial books but the description says it's a full length novel. It is not. I would have happily bought more books about other couples because I was enjoying this book, but not this way. Also maybe a new proofreader, there were a lot of missing words.
I wish authors would just write the @%¡$! book! If it's good, plenty of people will pay your price. This process of only delivering a partial book is ridiculous. This author's name is now on my 'DO NOT BUY' list.
" Sweet romance meets erotica and Wired puts forbidden proposes to a higher level of intimacy. I love this side of Evelyn's even more."
I'm going straight to the conclusion! I loved Wired!! I loved it and I can't wait to find the time to read the continue of the series soon. Wired is the type of stories I'm so keen to read; Challenging, with a mystery, having bad-ass heroes and, of course, the unforgettable-sexy-hot-forbidden moments, it left me in a hedonistic haze after I finished it. Undeniable, Wired is the type of book I'll spend all night reading and not feel guilty about it!!...waiting for more.
Claire English doesn't like men to take care of her needs. She's capable to accomplish whatever challenge presented without batting her eyelashes. Losing her mother at a very young age and dealing with collage and her father's business, Claire grown up learning how to be persistent and never give up on her dreams. After her father passed away, she took over his business, trying with all her might to keep the good name her father worked so hard to earn and also, to show that her abilities to work as an electrician contractor are undeniable similar with any man's in this work environment. She is a stubborn woman but her commitment to her work and to her partners is remarkable and admirable! At the new building Claire and her team are now working on, there are many challenges for her to deal with. One of the problems is the owner of the new building, Luke Masters; next are the unusual delays of the working schedule and the mysteriously missing construction tools. The combination of the new building's problems and the fact that Claire would be soon out of track with her bills, pushed her to have a second thought about the proposal Mr Masters made her after their first encounter. The fact that Luke was a man who on his presence everything around him seemed to be indifferent, that his aura was capable to lock her attention to him without argument and the primal needs he had the power to rise inside her every time he was so close to her, were Claire's undoing. Being his it was truly inevitable but staying with him was a fatal dream for her and she knew it from the beginning, a thought in the back of her mind.
Luke Masters is a self-created businessman, building an billion dollars empire from nothing. Self-centered and always controlled, Luke doesn't allow others to manage his business; He's the one who inspects any new instruction and whatever issue is upfront, would have his attention and only his, waiting for a solution. He is a powerful man and he knows very well how to use this power. However, meeting Claire for a first time, all this power and control evaporated. Yearning to dominate her and take back his stollen control, Luke made her a proposal he knew Claire couldn't deny. For his surprise, he didn't expect the effects of his proposal would cost him so much; And he wasn't prepared for the threat coming at his door. His world turned 180° after connecting with Claire and what he knew so well until then was in an emergency to be reconsidered again and act fast.
The erotica genre with a bit of mystery always excites me. However, a well-versed, well written erotica story is what I enjoy most. My tastes on these type of stories are in a higher level now and putting a full five star on a review means that the story is definitely worth reading it. I'm not talking about the sex scenes; I can't deny that they absolutely must be as much steamy-sexy-hot as they can be, however, the plot is what helps the story to reach the high scale I especially created for this genre. Wired reached my tastes in every way possible. I was impressed from the beginning with these two beautiful, breathtaking souls. Watching them fighting to keep their guards up, to control their emotions but eventually succumb to their primal needs, and at the same time both trying to deal with a mysterious enemy who's threatening their business, was an incredible experience. Farther more, I liked that the story unfolds beautifully, missing nothing of its captivating plot outside and it moves perfectly from one scene to the other making the pages turn effortlessly. I think Wired is one of the top erotica stories I've read this year, even if it was published in 2014.
I hope I intrigue your imagination and made you grab the book yourselves and find out what's really happening because there is no way to tell you myself.
Until next time, enjoy your free time reading great books with the most unforgettable stories.
Claire is working for Luke when he decides he wants her.
Ok, first of all, this is NOT book 1. It is part one. The story is not complete. I really wish some authors would learn this. BOOK 1 of a trilogy would be a complete story linked to two other complete stories (each book with a beginning, middle, and ENDING). What we have here is PART one in a three-part serial. So, for the sheer dishonesty and attempt at manipulation, this is a straight one star, and I will not be reading anything else from this author.
The book itself isn’t great. It’s pretty much all about the sex and there is no plot. There is also no romance (so, it’s mislabelled there, too). Hey, I like a good sex scene as much as the next person, but in a book billed as a romance, I do expect more. The sex scenes are fine, if not quite steamy enough for erotica, but there simply isn’t anything else to this couple. Luke is a controlling jerk, and not at all drool worthy.
This book is essentially about Luke repeatedly spending money to have sex with Claire, which is neither romantic nor sexy. The author takes great pains to tell us over and over (and over…) that’s not how it is, but it really is how it feels. The whole thing just feels icky, and Luke isn’t the sexy powerful alpha we’re supposed to think he is.
Oh, and it also badly needs proofread. There are too many typos, especially mixing up your/you’re.
