Lots of action and adventure as Fargo goes up against a gang that robs then murders the soldiers taking the payroll to the fort. The major's widow goes with him. As he searches for the murderers he notices things that don't add up. These bushwhackers are not what he's gone after in the past. He'll need all his skills to beat them.

I enjoy this series. It's fun and quick to read. Fargo is one of my favorite book boyfriends. I keep coming back to see what he is up to and he always beats the bad guys. The story was believable though the widow was a pain in the butt. The murderers were not what I expected either. Perfect read for a summer night.

Terrible. I enjoy trashy Westerns, but this was awful. Dumb characters, dumb plot, and third-rate writing.
