Match-Making in Montana
It’s been a long, hard year, but single mother Anna is finally putting the past, and her cheating ex-husband behind her and is finally ready to dip her toes in the dating pool again. Her best friend, Isabella, gets the ball rolling by placing a personal ad on her behalf and screening the men who write and forwarding on the few she considers worthy. Though taken aback by this at first, Anna concedes that if not for Isabella’s meddling, she probably wouldn’t have taken the necessary steps to get out there. So much easier to just stay home with her good friends Ben and Jerry. Things really get interesting when Isabella’s match-making goes into high gear and she arranges for businessman Zachary Shelton to rent the house next-door to Anna. Isabella instantly recognized newcomer Zachary as Anna’s high school sweetheart who promised her forever, then moved away and was never heard from again. Zach has some explaining to do, but that might be difficulthis memory of those years is gone. He has no idea who Anna is, or why he is so drawn to her. He’s also very different from the sensitive young man Anna remembered. This Zach is a hardened businessman, cold and detached and only in Beauville temporarily. The attraction is still there for sure, but does she even like this new Zach?

La trama mi è piaciuta ma ,secondo il mio parere, i capitoli sono pochi per per avere uno sviluppo adeguato. Praticamente la storia ha avuto un accelerazione troppo repentina che ha pregiudicato il risultato finale.... peccato.

Another quick read. I like that the stories are fast and continue on with take offs of the characters in the previous books.

Siamo giunti al quarto capitolo delle avventure degli abitanti del paesino del Montana in cui Pamela Kelley ha ambientato la sua serie “Dolce e selvaggio Montana”. L’impressione che se ne ha leggendo è la solita: una sana e tranquilla breve favola a lieto fine localizzata in un paesaggio reale, tra personaggi che vivono vite comuni e cercano di risolvere problemi che chiunque potrebbe avere. Con il vantaggio di leggere di frescura e addirittura neve, mentre chi legge schiatta da un caldo tale che inferno scansati.
“Il vento ululò per le due ore successive, mentre la neve cadeva così furiosamente che fuori dalla finestra poteva scorgersi solo un muro bianco vorticoso.”
Un sogno!
In particolare qui abbiamo due protagonisti alle prese con i capricci del destino che li ha fatti incontrare e innamorarsi da ragazzini e poi li ha condotti lontano e in mezzo a diverse gravi traversie. Oggi quello stesso caso capriccioso li porta ad essere vicini di casa e… un’ottima seconda occasione si profila per loro all’orizzonte di Beauville.
“Solo averti accanto a me è tutto ciò di cui avrò mai bisogno.”
Una lettura adatta a chi cerca una favola moderna senza scossoni né circensi esibizioni amorose. Una coccola per spiriti romantici che vi terrà compagnia davvero per poco tempo ma riempirà il cuore di dolcezza.

Rushed
I usually love all of Pamela Kelly's books, but this one fell flat for me. It seemed like it was rushed to be completed. It was not very interesting. Usually the characters develop at a reasonable pace so the reader almost feels like they become friends. This didn't even come close to that feeling. I feel zero connection to these characters.

Salve lettori!
Eccoci arrivati al quarto volume della serie Dolce & Selvaggio Montana di Pamela Kelley, edito dalla Virgibooks e intitolato Ritrovarsi in Montana.
Questo titolo non è a caso perché il nostro protagonista maschile, Zach, dopo la bellezza di quasi venti anni, si ritroverà nel paese natale in vista di un'eredità lasciata da uno zio. Per quanto riguarda la protagonista femminile, abbiamo avuto modo di conoscerla nei romanzi precedenti ed è Anna, l'amica di Isabella che dopo essere stata tanto delusa dalla vita, sta cercando di rimettere in gioco il suo cuore.
Siccome questo volume è davvero, davvero, breve non posso raccontarvi nient'altro della trama sennò mi ritroverei a dirvi praticamente tutto e non voglio perché Anna e Zach, mi hanno emozionata con il loro amore dolcissimo.
“Penso proprio di aver bisogno di spazzare via quelle lacrime con un bacio.”
“Sono lacrime di felicità” lo rassicurò lei. “Ma puoi baciarmi comunque.”
“Passeremo il resto della nostra vita insieme, a partire da adesso.”
E poi la baciò...
Ormai mi sono talmente affezionata a questa graziosa combriccola da non poterne fare più a meno. Anna mi ha stupita. Questa donna ne ha passate davvero tante e ho apprezzato la sua voglia di ricominciare, nonostante il passato l'abbia così tanto delusa. Ma Anna non ha mai dimenticato il suo primo amore adolescenziale e ritrovarselo di fronte, dopo decenni, potrebbe essere il segno del destino che stava aspettando.
Zach, seppur il romanzo brevissimo non ci dia modo di conoscerlo a fondo e di legarci a lui, mi è piaciuto per il modo in cui ha saputo approcciarsi alla protagonista con lentezza, rispetto e maturità.
Lo stile dell'autrice è lo stesso che caratterizza tutti i suoi romanzi e devo dire che andando avanti con la serie riesco a godermelo di più.
Consiglio questo romanzo agli amanti delle seconde possibilità perché, a volte, una spiegazione può cambiare ogni prospettiva e sono convinta che nulla accada per caso!

Another winner for Pamela Kelley
I love reading continuing stories and that the author actually used past characters in her book. I would have actually liked her using them a little more in this book but the book was fun and restful to read. I really appreciate that she doesn't feel the need to throw a lot of sex into her books. She gets the message across without being explicit. She also had her character actually going to church on Sunday. That was a nice touch as well. Overall I really enjoy her down home stories.

This book made me have a lot of feelings that for sure. I feel in love with the characters but then the ending was rushed and I lost feelings. It just made me so upset to see that wonderful story so rushed. I know this was relatively short, 156 on Apple Books, but the ending could have been so much better.

Not Great, but Good
I've read the series before, but am just now reviewing. I really love the characters, but I feel like very little happens over long periods of time. Each book's time span is several months, but there's no real conflict or drama.
I feel, at times, parts of the stories are wordy and drawn out.
I'm into more suspenseful and darker books, so that's probably the reason I couldn't get into the stories. I did find them entertaining enough to finish the series, so I do recommend giving them a try.

True Love Shines Through
When Zach left for college, he assured Anna he would contact her as soon as he was settled in. That never signed her happened so she eventually went on with her life, met and married someone else. They had two sons before the marriage ended in divorce. After several years, her dearest friend signed her up for Match-Makers and the story took an unusual turn. Great read!

Another great story for television series.
Pamela M. Kelley has done it again. This was such a nice story. Zach and Anna were the best characters. The setting was also very nice and was used as a view for. a few of the homes that were built of recent. You will thoroughly enjoy this book.

This is the 4th book in the series & a pattern is forming for sure. I’m actually feeling bored with the patterns. Long lost loves rekindle. Everyone drinks wine, eats sweets & never exercises??? How much wine do they drink??? By the end, Love has found each other & bingo now we’re married. I think I need to stop reading her novels.

Short, silly and sweet
Super short, with a bit of a silly premise, but fun and sweet nonetheless. Fun characters, familiar characters and if there is a Delancey’s anywhere in Montana, they should probably send the author some cash for her constant pushing of their establishment.

Anna cerca di affrontare la sua vita con fermezza e senza titubanza; essere una donna divorziata con dei figli a carico rende la sua routine mai noiosa e lo spazio per un altro uomo dopo la delusione del matrimonio fallito non è proprio una sua priorità.
Non è dello stesso parere Isabella la sua migliore amica che le organizza appuntamenti al buoi come se fosse ancora una liceale; Anna d'altro canto accontenta la cara amica ma senza successo fino a quando per caso il suo sguardo si posa su un uomo dai lineamenti famigliari che non vede dai tempi della scuola, Zach sembra lo stesso ragazzo ma invecchiato come lei d'altronde e sicuramente con un bagaglio alla spalle.
Quando scopre che sarebbe stato il suo vicino di casa, il piano di stargli lontano non va proprio come aveva programmato, ma quando si rincontrano dopo tutti gli quegli anni tutto Anna si sarebbe aspettata di tutto ma non che la trattasse come un estranea.
Cosa è successo in questi anni che sono stati lontani?
Zach ritorna nella sua città natale per un eredità,e il destino vuole che vada ad abitare vicino ad una donna con due figli, quando si trova davanti la bella vicina non la riconosce ed è convinto che non si conoscano, ma se invece non fosse così?
Sapeva di essere attratta da Anna, ma quello che avevano appena condiviso era stato incredibile. Ma stava succedendo anche qualcos'altro.
Non era solo attrazione fisica: era come se la conoscesse davvero, come se l'avesse conosciuta da sempre. Non aveva affatto senso e , a dire il vero, lo spaventava anche un po'.
La scrittura è scorrevole e dettagliata in maniera forse un po' scarna; troviamo lo svilupparsi della trama con una velocità al quanto insistente, tralasciando molto del racconto a parer mio.
I volumi precedenti erano più lineari ed esaustivi, caratteristica che in questa storia non trovo, il tutto si sviluppa troppo velocemente portando il lettore a porsi molte domande sulle vicende e creando buchi temporali nel narrato.
Purtroppo l'ho trovato noioso e scarno in quanto molto corto a mio parere assomiglia più ad una novella che ad una storia in sé, per questo con rammarico gli assegno:
3 coccole e mezzo.

This was a great novella and I love that Anna got her one true love back. I think this was a great 4th in the series. I wish Pamela Kelley would give us a book just keeping me posted on all my favorite people.
