This is the first book I’ve read in Jude Pittman’s Kelly McWinter series, and I look forward to reading books 1 through 4. The characters’ personalities intrigued me, especially Mr. Kelly McWinter. Their Texan conversations came across as spot on as well. The cases of the Kelly McWinter PI Investigations team kept me absorbed in every detail. A captivating book for mystery solving, detecting personalities, and riveting scenes. An unputdownable book right to the end.

Deadly Ghost, McWinter Investigations — Kelly McWinter PI is Book 5 in this compelling series by author Jude Pittman. A delightfully fast read, Deadly Ghost chronicles the always-intriguing cases handled by Kelly McWinter PI and his small firm of top-notch investigators. From lighter, intriguing fare, to life and death drama that so often define critical investigations, Pittman never fails to serve up edge-of-your-seat suspense. It was also fun to revisit the colourful and engaging characters of Indian Creek, Texas, as well as the Fort Worth Sheriff’s Department. I enjoyed this novel.

Did a ghost kill the chickens? This 5th installment of the Kelly McWinter PI team delves into that and much more. Drug cartels, baby trafficking, then a kidnapped pre-teen, all this will keep you turning (or swiping) the pages as the team dives deeper into the crimes. Fast-paced, but full of humanity, and the down-home feel of Texas, this book is not to be missed. I recommend reading the previous books in the series. You'll love these characters.

It starts with chicken murder (possibly committed by a ghost!) and quickly moves to baby trafficking, drug cartels, and teen kidnapping. The Kelly McWinter PI investigation agency sure keeps busy. In between all their sleuthing they still have time for welcoming a new baby to the McWinter family with a Texas BBQ. With likeable characters and lots of action, Deadly Ghost is bound to keep you reading!
