She survived the darkness once... now it's come back for her.
Addiction tore Danica and Micah apart. Years later, fate (and maybe a little obsessive love) pulls them back together like no time has passed. But Micah isn’t the only man drawn to her fire.
Enter Kayden, Micah’s brother. Dangerous, magnetic, and impossible to resist. Their chemistry is instant and combustible. He isn’t the type to play nice... and neither is Thomas.
Thomas is the level-headed one. A police captain with a badge, a past, and a protective streak a mile wide. He knows Kayden’s secrets. He knows danger when he sees it. And right now, Danica’s in the middle of it.
Three men. One woman. A connection that defies reason and rules. But while passion flares and loyalties are tested, someone is watching. Waiting. Ready to drag Danica back into the shadows she barely escaped.
Finally Theirs is the first in a trilogy of interconnected standalone pitch-black romances and ends with a HEA.
I'm easy to convince when it comes to reverse harem/why choose romances, and this book sounded good despite the lengthy list of trigger warnings. I didn't mind because I don't have any triggers anyway.
Unfortunately, I've found so many things that didn't work for me, even though I'm only 11% through the book.
I usually don't pay much attention to formatting unless it affects my reading experience. In this Kindle edition, I found the paragraph indentation to be too small, making it difficult to see where a paragraph starts when I look at a page. (If you know me, you'd know it makes me not want to read anything when it's like that.) Some paragraphs in the internal monologues—as well as some sentences—were also too long; they should have been split into two or more.
The writing was too chaotic and confusing for me. I sometimes had to reread a paragraph twice to make sense of it, because the thought process didn't seem smooth or continuous. And then some parts made me go back to an earlier part because they seemed contradictory. I'M JUST SO CONFUSED 😩.
Plus, I also couldn't connect with or like any of the characters. The part that made me stop reading was so ridiculous.
DO I RECOMMEND THIS? No, not really. I think the book could use a rewrite.

~Thank you to Toxic Love Publishing and the author for giving me an advanced reader copy of this book. I read the book on KU when it came out.~
Edited to 1⭐️ because I had to remove it from my kindle. It triggered me when I think how much time I wasted reading this. ************
I received an ARC of Finally Theirs in exchange for an honest review — and honestly, I’ve been sitting with this one, trying to make sense of how I feel. “Frustrated” is probably the best word for it.
Let’s start with expectations: the trigger warnings mention political content, but the only “politics” were that one of the characters are trans and face the very real challenges that come with that. While I empathize with that representation and recognize its importance, it had no real impact on the plot. It felt like a label slapped on to suggest something deeper than the story delivered. Being trans isn’t political - you are a person. Just existing doesn’t make it a political plot point.
This is marketed as a “why-choose” romance with three love interests (which I’m totally fine with!) but two of those relationships are instant love. And I mean INSTANT. “I love you”s after 3 dates in one case, an obsession after seeing a thirst trap video in another, and somehow everyone is moving in together within a month of meeting. (On that topic, they move into the house of a meticulous serial killer? who apparently had no issue with three people just… showing up and staying forever?) No conversation, no conflict, just vibes?? Unrealistic ones.
The plot is nearly nonexistent. I don’t understand the point of any of what I just read. The structure jumps between flashbacks, present-day groveling, and long monologues of regret. The main male love interest claims he loved the FMC so much he got sober for her, but we never get any real reason why either of them loved each other in the first place. Their past connection felt vague and underdeveloped — they maybe had sex two times? Yet somehow he’s the only one who ever made her squirt, despite being a virgin when he did? I had whiplash trying to keep up with the logic. And she fell into addiction and relapsed so fast, so hard - she forgave how quickly? Just because he started going down on her? I’m sorry WHAT?!
Now, I appreciate a morally dark cast (I’m here for sociopaths, killers, and the blurred lines of nature vs. nurture) but it still needs to make SENSE. Instead, these characters contradict themselves constantly. The only ones with semi-consistent behavior were Kayden (my favorite, if I was forced to choose) and Micah. The rest felt like different versions of themselves scene to scene.
On top of all that, the writing was hard to follow. Four POVs in a single chapter with no clear markers. Dialogue-heavy scenes where it’s impossible to tell who’s speaking. And the repetition - lines like “I got there as quickly as I could” or “she moved as fast as she could”, and weird phrasing throughout like “time flew by, but somehow it felt like forever” showed up way too often. Tense changes in the same sentence. 😩 It felt like it might have been through editing, but it needs a much deeper revision.
Also, whatever happened to their social media accounts they were so heavily involved in? They just stopped? I’m so confused. The ending felt rushed and unresolved; two of the love interests basically disappear, and the epilogue (a single page??) added nothing.
And finally… this is marketed as pitch-black romance. I’m sorry, but no. Yes, there are serial killers. Yes, there’s drug use, a red room, and one very powerful SA scene (truly, kudos to the author for how that was handled). But overall this didn’t have the psychological weight or intensity I associate with pitch black romance. I’ve read it. This wasn’t it.
I’m being generous with two stars because I think there could be an audience for this, and I did enjoy Kayden’s character for the most part. But for me, it was a messy, underbaked, and inconsistent read, which I found myself skimming and hoping it would get better… it never did.
I regret not DNFing.

Thankyou so much to the author for providing me with an eARC I’m trade for an honest review.
I WANTED TO LOVE THIS!! I unfortunately DNF’d this book at 77 pages. For me, I really struggled to keep up with what was going on. I think the author has the right idea and I think the book has potential, I just think it was rushed a little bit. I don’t think there was enough depth to the characters and they weren’t really explained cleanly. I do think some people will love this if they can get past the bouncing, but it just wasn’t for me. I would still recommend giving it a go.
Alright, buckle up, babes, because this book came in swinging with the potential of a five-star masterpiece but ended up feeling like a chaotic Tinder date where you were almost vibing… until they said, “My ex still lives with me, and its cool’
Let me start this off strong: THE STORYLINE??? Bloody brilliant. Like I’m talking chef’s kiss levels of YES PLEASE. We’ve got drama, we’ve got spice, we’ve got action, we’ve got MURDER and sexy, broody men with questionable morals and deadly hobbies. It’s like Criminal Minds met a spicy reverse harem fantasy and I ate that up.
BUT. And I’m so sorry it’s a big ol’ BUT
The first 23% of this book had me more confused than my dog watching me dance. One moment we’re in the present, then BOOM—we’re ten years earlier without warning. No “hey bestie, this is a flashback” transition. Just surprise! Guess who’s talking and guess what year it is
And grammar. Listen. I’m not the punctuation police, but Grandmama Grammar rose from the grave and said, “This needs divine intervention.” Words were missing. Full-on sentences had me reading like I’d just had three wines and a mild concussion. And don’t get me started on AUTHOR NOTES that were LEFT IN THE BOOK. You cannot tell me an ARC was sent with “Insert a comment about her history” and “Add page break here” and think I won’t point it out. 🫠 That’s like serving cake batter and calling it a cupcake.
Let’s talk about Danica—our FMC. She’s strong, she’s got sass, she’s been through hell and is clawing her way back. BUT she’s a recovering addict who has one relapse and then it’s sunshine and sobriety again? With hard drugs? No therapy? No spiral? No calling an AA sponsor.. something needed to happen here.. Sorry, but addiction recovery isn’t a one-chapter arc, and I needed more realism there.
Now to the murdery men: 🔹 Thomas – Hot cop, emotionally constipated, moonlights as a serial killer. Love that for him. But why? WHY is he a killer? Daddy issues? Power complex? Give me something. Got nothing don’t know why
🔹 Kayden – Suave lawyer with a double life on the dark web. Again, love the chaos, but where was the origin story? Did he just wake up one day and go “Y’know what, let’s ruin some lives since I was a kid”?
🔹 Micah – This poor man’s personality did a full 360. Confident? Insecure? Horny? Sad? Sober? Dominant/submissive? Lost in the plot? All of the above. His arc felt like the author didn’t know who he was—and neither did Micah.
Dialogues also got messy—sometimes I didn’t know who was talking and my brain short-circuited trying to match voice to man. Imagine having three men talk to Danica and you’re just out here guessing like it’s dialogue roulette. 🔫📖
But here’s the kicker: if you stripped all that chaos, fixed the formatting, ran it through a good editor or five, this book would SLAP. The bones are there. The plot is juicy. The characters could be divine with the right polish.
So am I mad? Yes. Am I disappointed? Kinda a lot
✍️ Needs another round of edits. 📚 Has serious potential.
Also this is not a pitch black romance. This is just Dark Romance. And definitely in no way did it ruin bacon I’m disappointed I wasn’t turned off bacon

This was easily the most disappointing read of the year for me. I went in thinking I would love it based on the description and trigger warnings, but it just didn’t deliver.
The writing felt unpolished, the characters lacked depth, and the relationships didn’t feel believable. The FMC had a unique setup that could have worked, but instead, the story leaned too hard into that one detail, and it started to feel more like a gimmick than meaningful character development.
The plot tried to juggle too many dark romance tropes at once without giving them the emotional weight they deserved. Some subplots were introduced and then abandoned, and important topics felt included for shock value rather than impact.
I usually enjoy dark, messy, emotionally complex stories, especially in the why choose genre. But this one missed the mark for me on almost every level. I appreciate what the author was trying to do, but the execution just didn’t work for me.
I have a confession to make. I signed up for this ARC because of how extensive the trigger warning menu…I mean LIST, it’s called a list…was. It has 60 things on it…I had never even considered number 26 before 🤣 Please check it over before reading…there are some really tough topics…
If you make it past the TW list…This book is dark and angsty and full of dark humor - I was hooked right from the prologue.
Danica runs a mobile Book Bus (I really loved that!) and seems to have it all together now…but she runs into Micah (ok, maybe it wasn’t by chance but who are we to judge) and well…things take a turn.
These characters have been through a lot (and yes maybe they need therapy) but I was here for them! Thomas and Kayden reminded me of one of my favorite (fictional!) serial unalivers and there was a scene in particular that was very satisfying.
*I did receive a gifted early copy. I did not hold any format/editing errors against my rating. All opinions are my own.
✨What To Expect: 🖤Pitch Black Romance ❤️🔥Why Choose (MFMM) 💋Plus-Size FMC 🔪Serial Unalivers ✌️Second Chance They Are In Their 30s 🎭St@lker 🩸Murder & Mayhem ❤️🩹Angsty & Emotional ♥️Traditional HEA
Okay this book has lots of potential for me. RH dark murderous MMCs and multiple characters with past trauma?? Sign me up. Unfortunately it really was a chore to finish. I think too many tropes were happening at the same time so much so that none of them truly stood out. The insta lust wasn’t just that it was also like insta trust with certain characters which was confusing and seemingly unwarranted.
Not that I thought that making this book much longer would’ve helped but pacing was a definite issue. One second a character deals with SA and then the next minute we’re going into spice??
Somehow everyone in this book is connected. New characters get introduced that have ties to people the other main characters know. The therapist. The person who helps queer people. The bookstore owner lady. Somehow all the side characters not only know the person who’s introducing them to the group but some are related or randomly have favors being owed to other characters. In that sense some things were just too easily fixed and there weren’t enough actual obstacles to get over.
Finally, skip both epilogues. The first one you can see coming but it’s not original. The second epilogue? Made absolutely no sense.
I wanted to love this book, however, about 100 pages in I couldn't finish it as the back and forth was a bit much. It felt like with the shifting back and forth and the inconsistencies in the story that maybe this book needed a rewrite.
The characters felt under developed IMO and the story was lacking. It was very surface level for me and when I am reading a book there needs to be layers. It didn't feel like these characters had any depth and the story itself was very point a to point b (from where I left off) without any real linear thoughts. If that makes any sense. It just was all over the place.
This book could be amazing.
Thank you to Toxic Love Publishing and the author the ARC in exchange for an honest review.
This was the first pitch black book that I've read and I was so confused as to why I wasn't triggered lol I am not new to dark romance but I am new to the pitch black side of the genre.
I can't justify it in real life but the actions of the MMCs in the book that are serial killers are justified. I am loving more and more the why choose trope and this book just proves it. We get MCs that are 30+ and, while they aren't perfect, (yep, we get st4lk3rs, serial un4liv3rs, s0ci0paths) they have one goal: make their girl happy, keep her safe, and help her in her own darkness.
I really liked Danica's love for books and her book bus. I felt represented with her being a curvy girl, her love for dark romance books, and how she came onto herself, even after going through a difficult time. I liked the character growth Danica and Micah had after dealing with addition and from being separated for so long. The author did a good job in representing both of their addictions and how they dealt with them.
There are graphic scenes and I found them disturbing but not enough to stop reading the book. One scene in particular, did strike a nerve. But the MMCs took such good care of Danica after what happened and that final scene in Kayden’s red room was justice well served.
Micah, the one girl’s possessive st@lk3r, Kayden, such a dark and sexy masked serial un@liv€r, and Thomas, silver fox with a caring nature and of course also a serial un@liv€r. They know who they are and they don't apologize for it, they have a thirst for blood but only for the real monsters of the world. I was rooting for them whenever it was time to get justice.
When Danica found herself joining Kayden in his activities, and then Micah and Thomas, it was when everything between them clicked. Danica found what she needed in her men and I am not only talking about 0rg4sms *wink*
It was dark, unhinged, disturbing, and messy. Just the things I need in a book. If pitch black books are your vibe or you want to start reading them, I suggest you grab this one.
This was a great book. I had the pleasure of reading it first. It took me a few chapters to get used to the switching between characters, but then it was smooth sailing. Danica and Micah are perfect together, but addiction ultimately tore them apart. Micah never forgot Danica and years later they find one another again. Micah’s brother Kayden is a lawyer and a very interesting character in my opinion. I will not ruin it, but there is a good revenge scene. I loved the plot line and the characters. This author did well with describing the characters in a way that when I was reading about them, I felt like I was next to them or knew them personally. There is a love triangle and spicy scenes that bring the heat! I would recommend this pitch black romance if you need a twisted spicy romance in your life. And really, who doesn’t? Thank you to Toxic Love Publishing and Arsyn Quinn for the opportunity to read this before its release. To everyone else, pick up this book or pre-order it on Amazon. It’s absolutely worth it!
First, thanks to the author and publisher for the eARC…I wanted to like this, but I really think it could use a rewrite or longer idk. It was so jumpy and the dialogue was hard to follow. I would reread and sometimes still not know who the hell is talking. Some details in one part didn’t line up with other parts so it made it confusing. It honestly just didn’t flow very well. Characters were thrown in there and it lacked development so it kinda fell flat. I see the outline, but the in between that makes a point seamlessly blend to the next isn’t there :( And the second epilogue just ends on a weird part? It was an unnecessary chapter. I guess it was wanting to be a similar future chapter like how the Lords series does but it ended so abruptly.
I did enjoy this book & I think if you are looking for a fun, easy, & spicy read you will love this book!! It definitely does have some darker themes to it, so pls check triggers before reading!! I liked the FMC & all of the MMC’s but Kayden was definitely my favourite!! I wish we got to see more of Kayden & Thomas (especially in the epilogues) & I wish there were more group smut scenes. I also wish the epilogues were a little more detailed/longer. But overall I did have a good time reading & will definitely read more books by this author!! 🥰💖
Thank you so much for sending me an ARC of this book, I rly appreciate the opportunity!! I had a great time reading & can’t wait to check out more books by this author!! 🥰💖
Devoured this book in one go! Who doesn’t love a good why choose! I certainly enjoyed this one and I loved the epilogues at the end. It really brought the whole book together! I do feel like there could be something that could make it end a bit easier because it does feel like it just cuts off but overall I loved it!
I really wanted to love this book. Unfortunately I was constantly confused about who was talking and while I got the gist of the story, I feel like it was rushed in some parts. I am a huge fan of why choose and I feel like this story has a ton of potential, but it’s just not there yet.
To kick this off, I got to read this an ARC. I wanted to extend a thank you to the author and their team for giving me this chance!
I thoroughly enjoyed this read and completed it in about 2 days once I got into it! It was dark in all the right ways and I am pretty sure there is something wrong with me because bacon was not ruined….
This book takes you into the worlds of some very interesting people who do not fit societal norms. Each has their own thing but all of them are doing good. They are just doing very bad things to do good things.
I would recommend reading the trigger warnings at the start. The author is very upfront what you will see on page. The author also does something I think was just top tier. There are resources also listed right after. Never be afraid to seek the help you think you need.
Danica is a spicy, bratty book lover so there was an immediate connection to her and a want to see what happens with her character. Though not a perfect ‘Belle’ character, she has her own darkness.
Micah hit those ‘cute naive boy’ buttons for me. Like he knows he wants to play in the dark and peeks in but needs to bring his flashlight to scare away his own monsters.
Kayden is almost the opposite. Confident in his wants and needs. He knows how to satisfy himself and makes sure it happens. One of his scenes I feel like was too quick. I think there could have been some build up play with him Danica there.
Thomas is a cop with a touch her and die mentality. He also seems ACAB and does something about it. He feels like the mature caretaker of the group.
I do feel like some areas of the book could use more detail or some longer scenes for some things would have enhanced it. That is not to say they are rushed but I feel like there could have been more in getting to the dynamics built between the characters.
I do feel like there could have been more in the red room. I feel like for a dark series we got to peek into the darkness without closing the door to the light.
I think the ending could have had more to it. I like the ending but feel like it didn’t have the substance, the details I would expect from a dark/pitch-black book. I almost feel like the ‘bad guy’ got off too easily and I wanted to see Danica play in the red room more.
Overall I would recommend this book to those wanting to dip their toe in dark romance. It was a fun read with interesting characters and enough plot to make the story good. The spice was good though over kind of quick. I would give it 2.5 of 5 on the pepper scale. I give it a solid 3.75 (I'll round to 4 on most sites) because I love the idea of this story and would love to see the author continue and grow.
Finally Theirs by Arsyn Quinn is a dark romance that comes with many trigger warnings — and rightfully so. The premise is definitely unique: a reverse harem involving serial killers and a now-sober drug and alcohol addict. I could see where the author was trying to go with this, and there was real potential in the plot, but overall it didn’t quite hit the mark for me.
In the first few chapters, the point-of-view switches within the same chapters were jarring and confusing — I found myself flipping back multiple times just to figure out who was talking and whether we were in the present or the past. Once I got into the groove, the writing flowed better, but the early disorientation pulled me out of the story.
There are also quite a few name slip-ups throughout the book that added to the confusion, especially with so many main characters. For example, on page 264 Thomas says, “Or one that Micah and I need to be here for,” but it should be Kayden and I — little errors like that happened enough to disrupt the flow.
The storyline itself was good and had a nice dark edge, but I felt too much emphasis was placed on the past between Danica and Micah. Micah ended up feeling more whiny than intriguing, and his vibe didn’t fit with the other two MMCs as the story progressed. Also, the jump from the FMC’s recovery arc to suddenly wanting to help with murder felt underdeveloped — I needed more background or build-up to make that believable.
The ending fell a bit flat for me, but I will say: the spice delivers. If you’re reading this for the dark, spicy scenes, you’ll probably enjoy that part. Overall, I’d rate this a solid 3 stars — good for those wanting something dark and steamy, but be prepared for some plot bumps along the way.
This is almost like fiction come to life. Think about all the masked men or women's books filming thirst trap videos. This book has that in multitudes! I liked the back and forth with the videos. There are 60+ warnings in this book. Reader beware. Plus, Danica owns a bus where she sells the best dark romance books (that I would love to buy).
Danica has a past with Micah who stalks her in multiple ways. However, Micah isn't the only one interested in stalking Danica. Kayden ropes Thomas, into helping him win Danica. Danica had already met Thomas, separately. Most of the 3 guys come at Danica indirectly at first, identities hidden. Danica is these men's match in all the ways that count. Will they accept Danica or be pushed away by who Danica is?
They're are all wearing masks besides the obvious ones from the videos. I'm here for it. I was surprised that Danica not only accepts all their proclivities but joins in. I was confused at first about the men, their relationships, and did all the men have a separate home or just one home. Eventually, it becomes clearer. I could've done without the epilogue 2 and give me another book about their serial killer ways, all of them trying to avoid getting caught and family life together. I did like the book overall. I forgot about the agreement they all had, not sexually, until the end of the book. But just the thought of death by spray foam encapsulation? Truly brutal.
"Not psychopathy, sociopathy.” “There’s a difference?” “Psychopaths are born, sociopaths are made.”
"What you are, kitten, is the embodiment of my perfect woman. Our darkness is a match in every way. You make me a better man, but I fear my existence in your life may cause you to get worse.”
Thank you to Toxic Love Publishing and Arsyn Quinn for the opportunity to read this ARC.
I have to start by saying that the idea for the book is absolutely top notch and I enjoyed it very much! Another thing I loved about it is that things that are kink related are touched on in the dialogue that will give complete newbies a more realistic and educational idea of kink, not just „I’m going to choke them without a conversation about it first”. Kudos for that to the author, we need more of it!
Having said that, I think there is some room for improvement. While I enjoyed the book, the writing isn’t yet completely polished. Action developed quite quickly and it could benefit from more build up, and more character development - seeing more depth in the characters would be very good. Sometimes it was a little hard to make out who was speaking and the scenes were a little chaotic and quick, which felt like getting the desired outcome before properly setting the scene out.
The rest of the review contains spoilers!
I ADORED the tattoo idea! It did, however, felt a little abandoned after the fact. It would’ve been great to see how Danica’s partners were careful around it, their reactions etc.
It did seem like between the initial chapter were Jayden talked about his previous partners and their pleasure, and then the conversation about the D/s and Rigger/bunny dynamic, he kind of switched his approach? The conversation and description of rope safety was so good to see!
Spice and sex scenes were very good, although a little repetitive. It would be beneficial to see different, more varied descriptions.
I’d definitely love to read another book from the author and see the development. The story and the author have a lot of potential!

This was my very first reverse harem—and wow, what a ride! Huge thanks to Arsyn Quinn and Toxic Love Publishing for the early copy.
Let’s start with what stood out: the raw emotion, the dark romance vibes, and the absolutely addictive cast of characters. While I did feel like the story skipped around a bit at times—likely because I’m used to books with two POVs instead of four—it still kept me turning the pages. The shifting perspectives made things a little chaotic, but also kept the tension high.
Danica, our curvy and complex FMC, is a recovering addict who recently relapsed after running into the man she’s never gotten over: Micah. She's still deeply in love with him, but as it turns out, he’s not the only one vying for her heart—or maybe her soul.
Micah is a recovering alcoholic with a dark family history. His world unraveled the day Danica left him, pushing him to finally get clean. He’s still holding a torch for her, and his emotional wounds run deep.
Enter Kayden, Micah’s brother and the golden child ADA. On the surface, he’s the clean-cut favorite... but underneath? Let’s just say there’s something chilling in his basement that you won’t see coming.
And then there’s Thomas, the charming police captain who stumbles across Danica and her book bus at a local fair. Their chemistry is instant, and their drive-in movie date is the stuff of swoon—until we learn he’s harboring secrets of his own.
Though their personalities (and moral compasses) are wildly different, Micah, Kayden, and Thomas share one burning obsession: Danica. How will she choose? Or... will she even try?
This book has everything:
A curvy, book-loving heroine
Three obsessive, morally gray love interests
Dirty cop killer energy
Secret kill room (!!)
A deliciously dark reverse harem dynamic
⚠️ Trigger warnings are a must-read for this one—it dives deep into themes like addiction, violence, and psychological manipulation.
If you're into dark romance with an edge, taboo themes, and complex characters, this is a must-add to your TBR. Just be ready for a wild, twisty, emotional rollercoaster... and maybe a morally gray crush or two. 😉
My Totally Unhinged, Unapologetically Biased Review of Finally Theirs by Arsyn Quinn 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Okay. Deep breath. I don’t even know where to begin because this book?? This BOOK??? Finally Theirs by Arsyn Quinn completely wrecked me in the best, most deliciously chaotic way. Anyone who knows me knows my ultimate fictional obsession has always been Karson (written by the queen Lauren Biel forever in my heart, forever my deranged fantasy husband). But now… now there’s Kayden. And I don’t even know how to process that.
Kayden is not just a man. He is an experience. A full-on, high-stakes, blood-pumping, jaw-dropping, what-even-is-my-life experience. He is the exact flavor of unhinged I didn’t know I needed gorgeous, dangerous, intense, absolutely feral in the most unreasonably hot way. If he were real? I’d be in jail or married. No in-between.
This book is 🔥 from page one. The plot? Fast-paced and addictive. The tension? Crackling. The spice? SPICY. I had to put the book down several times just to fan myself and scream into the void. Arsyn Quinn doesn’t just write characters, she creates obsessions and I am so, so here for it.
In summary: I came for the spice. I stayed for the trauma bonding. I left completely ruined by Kayden. I need therapy. And a sequel. Immediately.
I did receive an eARC copy of this book in exchange for my opinion. And to be honest, I wasn't even going to write a review.
I can say that I pushed my way through to page 196 and I just can't make myself finish it. I've read dark romance before, I have no problem with that or the 2 page trigger warnings. I have to say I'm disappointed with how this book went, I saw the potential it could have had... still can. I was just never able to connect with any of the characters. I feel like they are so disconnected from each other, and they lack so much growth.
There are several scenes I just can't get over how little sense they made to me. Like after the FMC got SA'd, it was a well-written scene, it's just the way she got over it so quickly and then had intercourse with another MMC pretty quickly. The drive-in scene, playing 20 questions, and one FMC she just met starts playing with himself, like what??
I've read many books with multiple pov's but this one just wasn't well separated. I had whiplash reading chapters with up to 3 different pov's in a span of several paragraphs. There were several times when I had to reread lines to make sense of them. Maybe with a major rewrite, this book could be better, I am just unable to finish it at this moment and boy did I try.
Thank you to the author and team for giving me this opportunity, I wish you the best.

MFMM. Masks. Murder. This book said, “Why choose?” and then added 60+ trigger warnings just to make sure your therapist stays employed.
We’ve got: 📚 Danica, a bookseller caught in a morally grey, mask-wearing, “you’re ours now” storm 🧠 Micah (stalker + backstory baggage) ⚖️ Kayden (lawyer + brother to Micah + “good girl” enthusiast ... and my favourite) 👮♂️ Thomas (cop + intensity + “you really want me to fu+k you, don’t you?” energy)
They’re all a little unhinged. And very, very into her. There’s murder. There’s mayhem. There’s a lot of masked tension.
Also: “It’s daddy to you, baby girl.” Sir… go to jail. Or don’t. I’m confused and aroused.
That said: ❗ some scenes felt rushed or cut short 🔥 spice level? A solid 3/5 — but I expected more filth with four morally questionable men 🌀 occasionally had me going: what is this vibe… and do I like it or fear it?
ARC READ. I wanted to love it. i gave a chance, tried really hard. But even as the idea of the book is actually good, it's lacking something. Theres not much depth on the characters, and their relationship ( except for Micah and Danica) felt forced. Like I get the possessive male insta love, but SHE is not portrayed that way... and suddenly, right after she is attacked, they all 4 are a thing?. she is attacked and noone takes her to the hospital? Seriously? IDK dude. They are allegedly into helping abused ppl and this goes by as another regular day? she just cries for a night, talks to some lady, and thats it? rape kit, nothing? not buying anything here.
Also, her mood and personality kept changing. Suddenly she is a sociopath? eeee where did that come out from? Its like all over the place. as I said, forced
Maybe it's because it's an arc read, but it needs shaping, editing, some stuff are just dumped there.. It jumps from one thing to the other without much connection and it's not great.
I think ***it's a great idea overall*** and I'm all about this genre, but this one needs more work. PLOT WISE? Good, really good. But it gets lost in the chaos.
Thank you Arsyn Quinn for and advanced copy of this book!!
The plot is so interesting! I was hooked by the blurb, I mean a why choose is always a fav but add in some dark and dangerous men 👀 it’s just the icing on the cake!
I would say I enjoyed some parts of the book more than others, a few scenes felt like they were cut short a little too soon and didn’t have very much character depth to them. We didn’t really get to know Thomas as much as Kayden or Micah, and we still dont know that much about them either. Danica also feels a bit 2D (like it’s hard to really understand her thoughts and feelings unless there’s a dialogue about them and even then still questionable).
Kayden and Thomas are serial unalivers and there are some scenes about that in there too. They follow Dexter’s moral code 😂
I would say this has good bones but I just wanted more depth from the characters.
The spice! There is pleeennttyyy of spicy times between Danica and all her men (she doesn’t choose btw, so she has her little harem). There are 1:1 scenes as well as 1 group scene. Nothing overly extreme.
What happens when three sociopaths and a stalker meet and fall in love? An excellent storyline.
This is fantastic, Kayden and Thomas are both set on ridding the world of the predators, Micah wants to follow Danica and maybe get her forgiveness.
Danica is a little harder to get a read on, she definitely has more to her personality than first meets the eye.
This book has everything, death, bloodshed, trauma, addiction, serial killers and a truckload of kinky spice.
I love this quote in regards to kink as it's so so true.
" ...Empathised the importance of a submissive and consent. And glossed over a dominant's role and their consent....The truth is, yes, it is a power imbalance, but you consent as a dominant matters just as much as mine as a submissive. You have just as much right to say no as I do. And have it stick."
For information on different aspects of the kink lifestyle, this is well written. Not only the above, but I was glad to see that rigging was included, a lot of people forget rope can be horribly dangerous if they don't do it properly and have good safety procedures.
I was really intrigued by the premise of Finally Theirs—a second chance romance wrapped in suspense, with a reverse harem twist and complex, dangerous men circling around one woman trying to reclaim her life. It promised darkness, heat, and emotional intensity.
Unfortunately, the execution didn’t quite work for me.
The pacing felt rushed, and at times the plot seemed to jump without solid transitions, making it hard to follow who was in the scene or speaking. While the story hinted at deep emotional struggles and passionate connections, the relationships never felt fully developed—more possessive than romantic, and lacking the emotional build-up that makes reverse harem dynamics satisfying to read.
Additionally, while I understand the appeal of incorporating multiple tropes and triggers in dark romance, it felt like too much was crammed in without the cohesion to tie it all together. The ending also left me a bit confused, as it seemed to shift away from the RH structure the book started with.
I really wanted to enjoy this one—it had the bones of something gripping—but in the end, it just didn’t deliver for me.
Finally Theirs is a story about second chances, new love and vengeance/justice. Our FMC "bumps" into her long lost love, after leaving him due to his hold on the bottle, and relapses in her mobile bookstore. Thankfully she is found before her overdose can take her and she works on staying clean again. But the "bump" was on purpose from her ex, as he has been stalking her for a decade and needed to see her. One of our MMC's stumbles into her store one day and is completely taken aback by her. And our final MMC is our lost loves brother; they decide to try and thirst trap her into being their's. Sadly while working alone on her hot pink bus converted book store, she is attached and assaulted. But her stalker ex finds her and relocates her to a safe place where all three men inadvertently know each other and their love helps her heal. This book has political undertones, with side characters representing the LGBTQ community and the struggles they need to manage. There is also a lot of vigilante justice ending in murder, some for online viewing. Please check your TW before diving into this intense ride.

First I want to start off with this is NOT Pitch Black… it is Dark Romance…. IMO.
This story grabbed my attention right off the bat and I was so excited to dive into this plot! The plot was setting up to be amazing!!!! And then the story took a left turn into chaos…. It was so hard to follow, the POVs changed so much and there were so many that it was hard to keep up especially when it was paired with dual timelines! I spent half the time trying to remember who it was that was talking and when we were that I had to reread a good bit of the pages.. and after a while it felt like a chore to read it.
The characters to me had so much potential but it kinda felt like there was so much that the author wanted them to be that it kinda muddied up the good things about them… if that makes sense….
I hate that I didn’t end up liking this one as much as I wanted to… it had so much potential! That plot is so good though and that is why this book got 3 stars… I just wanted so much more from it and got too much of everything I didn’t want.
