This was such a swoon-worthy romance! As my second read by this author, I am completely in love with her writing, the way she crafts her characters is so beautiful and heartfelt.

The story centers on Ophelia, a free-spirited writer who's sworn off grand romantic gestures, and the seemingly arrogant hockey star Zane, her best friend's brother. Thrown into close proximity as part of a wedding party, these unlikely opposites find themselves constantly crossing paths. Their initial disdain quickly evolves into a powerful, secret attraction, leaving us readers to wonder if they can keep their true feelings hidden or if fate will expose their love. I was captivated watching their resistance crumble in the face of undeniable chemistry.

Both Ophelia and Zane were excellent; I genuinely love them both. Their chemistry was absolutely sizzling and swoonworthy, and I adored the enemies-to-lovers dynamics. The slow burn, the sharp banters, and the building tension between them were all superb, and the fake dating element was a top-notch highlight! I especially love how they found each other. There is also this wonderful element of found family dynamics in the book; you can't help but drown in the coziness of the bond all the characters grow into.

thank you so much swipethebookpr and Author Kacey Sophia for the ARC..

⭐⭐⭐⭐🌟

Sometimes you pick a book just by its cover and this was exactly that. I didn’t even check the blurb, and I’m glad I didn’t, because it met all my fluffy romance expectations.

Ophelia and Sam were the sweetest couple, and their fake dating turned so natural it never once felt rushed. Add in the warm family dynamics, the sibling bonds, and the dreamy Greek island setting (Paros 😍) and you’ve got yourself a comfort read.

Even though it’s the second book in the series, I didn’t feel lost at all just more excited to read the first one featuring Zane’s sister. And hockey romance lovers? You’ll get your little fix here too.

Sweet, dreamy, and heartwarming a romance you’ll want on your TBR.

Love Undercover ✈️
Firstly,I want to kindly thank the author for providing me the ARC!

Ophelia truly believes that love isn't in her cards for this life.Zane is too focusεδ in hockey to think & and find time about love.
However, things are gonna twist when they have to spend more time together due to his sister wedding,& maybe get tangled into a fake dating romance.

FIRSTLY,THE COVER!
I cannot describe how I fell in love with it,from the moment I saw it.I don't know if I got more fancinated with the details, colours or the illustration more-those are the covers we want to see in our romances 🥹.
Back to the story,it literally flew by so fast. The writing was easy to read & understand, while everyone was so,so lovely.Trust me there is no one that you'll dislike. An other aspect that got my eye,was how multi cultural the book was.We have Indian & Greek culture a lot going on.
As a Greek myself I found that detail so comforting & cute, while I really feel that we got represented right. Our places, food, culture etc,was potrayed so well in this book!On the other side,I learnt a lot about the Indian one.My favourite?THE FOOD.
To continue,I love my girl Lia.She was so real for everything,A true authentic girl, with her fears, interests, passions & dreams. She really made the story even more beautiful, and all her lines were magical.
Zane was also DREAMY.Mostly,I adore the way his mind worked, how he took desicions, thought and acted.-yes,I am one of those girls, that find clever, mature minds sexy 💋.

The time we all waited: THE ROMANCE.
For the first time in my reading life,I read not just a slow burn, which was,but a slow falling into love kind of story. What stunned me,was how realistic this trope was.You can feel how their bond is formed and understand them much better due to that.
Speaking for realism, this book had a lot.We did not saw a fake dating that clearly ONLY happens between pages, but a real life scenario, which we all wanna to experience-but this is a discussion for an other day-🤌🏻
Long story short,if you are searching a cute romance, with a dose of 🌶️& many destinations, here you have it.Love Undercover 🩷.

4/5 ⭐️

This book was such a soft, comforting romance 🥹🫶🏻 I totally loved it! Zane (the MMC) is very focused on his career, but his parents are worried about his marriage and want him to settle down. So, he asks Ophelia (the FMC) to fake date him and she just happens to be his sister’s best friend 🤭

Things get even more interesting when Zane’s sister’s wedding comes around. As the bride’s brother and the bridesmaid, Zane and Ophelia keep finding themselves face to face 🤭 The tension, the chemistry it was so good!! 😩

Zane’s bond with his family was so wholesome, and the blend of cultures was portrayed beautifully. Now I honestly can’t wait to read Alisha and Felix’s story! 💘

Read this book if you love fake dating, slow-burn romance, and best friend’s brother tropes 🫶🏻

This was such a great and fun read for me, I love a book where I don’t have to think about anything other than the characters story. I loved the vibes of this book, be it the characters, the story and the shared bonds between the siblings🤌🏻

I laughed , giggled and smiled throughout the book because the chemistry between Zane and Ophelia was amazing 👀💓

The way Zane and Ophelia kept denying their feelings for each other but in the end , they ended up loving each other so much, it made my heart cheer out for them🌷

Them falling for each other slowly and steadily made their love story perfect and it was so beautifully written by the author💖

I love a story where I can feel pure love and happiness coming from the characters, not just the main ones but from every single character in the whole book💞

I have read the previous book in the series and fell in love with Alisha and Felix, their scenes in this book made my heart so happy to see them together and get married 🥹💘

This is book 2 in The Duttas series. I read the first one too and loved it, and I loved this one also. The writing is simple yet very entertaining and engaging, it will keep you hooked. It is a fluffy read, feels like a hug.

Zane and Ophelia’s characters are very well written, I loved how both of them do not want commitment but are so attracted to each other that they couldn’t stop developing feelings for each other, even when they were only supposed to fake date for a little while (yes, fake dating! One of my fav tropes everrr)

I loved all the side characters, especially Alisha and Felix, as I loved them in the first book. And omg all the food mentions and also the Indian ceremonies, it felt like home.

Now I cannot wait for Adi & Kiya’s books. (Adi and Kiya are siblings so there will be separate books for them)

📙 Love Undercover
🗓️ Release Date - September 30, 2025

What happens when the maid of honor falls for the bride's brother... and the bride is her best friend? 👀💍

Love Undercover is such an easy-going and refreshing romance. It’s a fake-dating-turned-real story between Ophelia, a Greek maid of honor wary of love after her parents’ divorce, and Zane, the Indian brother of the bride who is deeply devoted to his family.

Zane’s protective, family-first nature made him so endearing, while Ophelia’s journey of slowly letting her guard down felt heartfelt and relatable. The Indian wedding backdrop was one of my favorite parts — the rituals, traditions, and family warmth were beautifully described and made me miss India so much.

✨ Tropes I loved:
💢 Dislike to Lovers
🎭 Fake Dating turned Real
🌏 Cross Cultural Romance
🏠 Forced Proximity
🔄 Dual POV

Overall, this was a warm, spicy, and vibrant read that blends swoony romance with genuine family moments, and I truly enjoyed every bit of it.

Thank you so much to Kacey Sophia for the ARC — I had the best time diving into this story! 💕

“𝑴𝒆𝒓𝒈𝒆 𝒉𝒆𝒓 𝒔𝒐𝒖𝒍 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝒎𝒊𝒏𝒆.”

Reading this book is like basking in the mild sunshine in wintery weather, warm and full of coziness. And i totally adored this feeling. Love undercover is the second book in dutta series, Revolving around Zane dutta and Ophelia Angeli.

After his sister Alisha is set to married to Felix, Zane is having some complicated Contemplation about his life and career, while he's parents are concerned for him to settle down with someone finally. Ophelia is Alisha's close friend and colleague, and now her maid of honor, seeing her friend so happy after finding love has made lia somewhat lonely about her single status.

In the mayhem of Alisha's wedding preparation, Ophelia and Zane find themselves face to face more often than they ever did. Initial dislike and being stranger to each other, they've never thought they'll end up fake dating each other for Zane's parents and family. What started as a just a temporary set up turns into something deeper as both realize they may have more sparks than they'd ever admit!

First of all, Zane and Ophelia are so hot yet so cute together, their understanding towards each other's culture and love was really heartwarming to read. The spice is mild yet hot! I had butterflies in my stomach because of their scenes! Zane is such a nice guy, I loved how thoughtful he was towards his family and Ophelia, plus his bond with his siblings was so lovely to see!

I loved Ophelia's character, she's smart and very much forward, yet her vulnerability in love is something most people can relate. Same with Zane, I loved how both characters had their walls yet still became each other's safe haven.

I appreciated how their was no misunderstanding and plot drama between the characters, it was simple, no nonsense and pure cozy and spicy romance combined.

Overall, it's a beautiful straight forward Romance without drama, combined with family and friends bonding with all the wedding vibes going in between.

This book was pure comfort, joy, and swoon all wrapped into one! Zane and Ophelia had such a natural chemistry that I could not stop grinning whenever they were together. What started as pretend slowly blossomed into something genuine, and the way their relationship unfolded felt so tender and believable.

Zane honestly made me melt, protective, kind, and just the right amount of charming. Ophelia was a wonderful balance to him, bringing so much heart and strength. Together, they felt like the kind of couple you cannot help but root for. 🥹💕

The Dutta family completely stole the show for me too. Every scene with them added warmth and laughter, making the romance even richer. And paired with the dreamy island backdrop, the story felt like a mini vacation I did not want to end. ✨🌊

I was completely captivated by the representation. How we get to read the story from both perspectives and because of that get to learn about both cultures. This was such a beautiful and inclusive story that I didn't want to end.

Zane Dutta. A charming, confident man, yet stammers when talking to Ophelia. I love how he calls her "Angel" because of her surname Angeli. I am a sucker for a good pun and this was perfect! Also, HE. CAN. COOK. Need I say more?

Ophelia "Lia" Angeli is someone I aspire to be. Strong, independent, and not afraid to voice her opinion. She also has a sassy and playful side to her which I love! Especially, when she teases Zane!! I would also get distracted and burn the food if Zane was there!! Oops!

My favourite scene was when they go swimming and have a race. Then afterwards, they go to Ophelia's and Zane finishes cooking the spaghetti! They are so cute together and I love them! And don't even get me started on their first kiss!! It was so sweet and PERFECT!!

I love the side characters! Especially Harlow, who stole the show with her one liners!! I love her! She is absolutely hilarious. I would love to see a spin off with her and Hana. They are so cute together. And a story with Aadi, too! It's his turn next, hehe!

Overall, it was such a lovely book. I was rooting for the main characters the whole time! Ophelia was super relatable, and Zane was really charismatic. The side characters were a joy to read, too! The ending was perfect, and just what I needed.

Many thanks to Kacey Sophia and Swipe the Books PR for this advanced reader copy!

When you start falling in love, it feels like magic something you never want to fade away, something you want to hold onto endlessly and unconditionally."

That’s exactly the feeling this book gave me, and I couldn’t think of a better way to start my review.

This story is the perfect cozy read. Honestly, it screams winter vacation vibes the kind of book you’d want to curl up with under a blanket, hot cocoa in hand. But even reading it in autumn, it wrapped me up with that same warmth and comfort. (And yes, I’ll definitely be rereading it in the winter!)

Kacey, my love, you truly did a fabulous job. The chemistry, the banter, the tension between Zane and Ophelia it all built up so beautifully. This is easily one of the best slow burns I’ve read. Watching their walls slowly crumble and their hearts melt together felt nothing short of magical.

The plot? Absolutely flawless. No loopholes, no unnecessary fillers just a perfectly crafted story that flows effortlessly.

And let’s not forget the side characters. Kudos to Kacey for making them more than just background fillers. The siblings’ bond, the friendships, the parents’ role everything added depth and heart to the story. It wasn’t only about romance; it was about family, connection, and love in its many forms.

Now, let’s talk about the smut. 👀 It was just right not over the top, not underwhelming, but so perfectly written that it’ll leave you curling your toes and grinning like crazy.

Overall, Love Undercover wasn’t just a book, it was an experience. One I didn’t even know I needed, but I’m so glad Kacey gave it to us. 💖

You know that feeling when you pick up a romance book “just to start a few chapters” and suddenly it’s 2AM and you’re grinning like a fool? Yeah… that was me with Love Undercover.

Ophelia and Zane’s story has all the tropes I adore: fake dating, best friend’s brother, wedding chaos, banter that makes you smirk, and of course… plenty of spice. What surprised me, though, was how grounded and heartfelt it felt underneath all the fun.

Ophelia is the kind of heroine I immediately connected with: independent, guarded, and convinced love isn’t for her. And Zane? Oh my heart. He’s confident on the outside, but the way he treats his family and how patient he is with Ophelia melted me completely. Also, him calling her Angel… let’s just say, I was kicking my feet every single time.

The wedding backdrop added so much warmth and vibrancy. From family dinners to all the little traditions, the story had this cosy, celebratory energy that made me feel like I was at the wedding myself. And the multicultural details woven throughout (the food! the family dynamics!) made it extra special.

What I loved most was that the romance felt real. No unnecessary third-act breakup, no dragging miscommunication, just two people figuring each other out, slowly peeling back layers, and falling in love in a magical and believable way.

If you’re looking for a rom-com that’s equal parts cute, steamy, and heartwarming, with a hero who’s basically a walking green flag, Love Undercover is exactly the kind of book you’ll want to devour in one sitting.

This book was such a cozy read and it honestly felt like a warm hug. It felt so relatable and heartwarming.💗

The story revolves around Ophelia and Zane. In the the beginning they both were too stubborn to get to even know each other despite Ophelia being Zane’s sister’s (Alisha) best friend. 🤷🏻‍♀️But Things take a turn when Ophelia is chosen as maid of honor by Alisha which forces both of them into each other’s company more. 😏That’s when the tension begins to simmer and it slowly turns into sparks.🤌🏻

What starts as fake dating between them quickly turned into something real and I literally loved watching their feelings grow.😆 The chemistry between them felt so natural and genuine. Their little moments together, the playfulness, the way they blended into each other’s lives was so heartwarming. I especially adored how they stood by each other and sneaked around like teenagers🤭💗

The side characters were just as wonderful. Loved how Kacey has highlighted strong friendships and sibling bond so beautifully. I can’t wait to read Aadi’s story in the next book!💗

Also another thing I really loved was the ending. Like there was no unnecessary drama or misunderstandings, just two people who loved and understood each other coming together in the best way possible. 😭✨They ended up so beautifully.

All in all Love Undercover is a sweet, comforting and heartwarming read that I truly enjoyed. If you’re craving something cozy and romantic you should definitely pick this one up!💗

Love Undercover is one of those books that feels like a warm hug on a gloomy day. It follows Ophelia, the FMC who is just moving with the life and Zane, the MMC, a hockey player whose parents have officially entered the “shaadi kab karoge?” phase.

To ease the pressure of an arranged marriage setup, Zane convinces Ophelia to fake-date him and she agrees, partly because deep down, she craves the same sense of companionship. What starts as a deal soon turns into something so much more, because when real feelings sneak in… there’s no denying them.

This story beautifully justifies why the fake-dating trope is so beloved. The emotional progression is gradual, sweet, and believable. Some of my favourite moments include:

💖 Their cozy retreat scenes
💍 Alisha and Felix’s wedding, which was all things soft, mushy, and adorable
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 The sibling dynamics, Zane’s bond with his siblings was so wholesome
👭 The found family moments between Ophelia, Alisha , and Harlow

Ophelia’s emotional baggage from her parents’ divorce adds a touching layer of vulnerability, making her journey towards love and trust feel earned.

If you enjoy:

✔️ Fake-dating done right
✔️ Big chaotic but loving families
✔️ Soft romance with cultural roots
✔️ Heartwarming chemistry and tender gestures

…then Love Undercover should definitely be on your TBR. It’s charming, comforting, and leaves you smiling long after you close the book.

I'm obsessed with this book. Book 2 in Dutta Series has stolen my Heart, blown my mind✨ I mean, The chemistry, the attraction, the spark between the MMC & FMC was electrifying & it kept me hooked till the end! What else do we want from a good book, right!?👇🏻

Well, the MMC- Zane Dutta is a perfect man. He's a swimmer, a gymrat, a hockey player, a cook (who cooks shirtless🤭), a gentleman, a good brother, a man who calls his woman- ANGEL😫 The way he treats Ophelia even though they were into a fake-dating thing gave me butterflies. Still, need some convincing?👇🏻

Our FMC- Ophelia Angeli is such a sweetheart. She's a smart, independent woman, a very good friend & she's his ANGEL, his JAAN. Ophelia is a friend of Alisha (Zane's sister) & she's her maid of honour🤭

The storyline is well written. Even, the plot's perfect. I loved the inclusion of various places & occasions. Some of my favourite moments- The scene where Zane's hand stopped mid-air while eating, the swimming scene, the rain scene, the dance floor scene, the kitchen scene & ofc, their first intimate moment🤌🏻 These cute lil moments were engaging & swoon-worthy✨

Zane & Ophelia get into a fake-dating thing for Alisha's wedding but the spark between them was irresistible. She used to think that Zane hates her but was it true? If not, who'll approach whom first & How? Will they fall in love or are they going to break each other's heart?

Love Undercover by Kacey Sophia
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️.5 (3.5/5)

If you love wholesome romances with a splash of culture and fake dating, this one might be your vibe!

This story follows Ophelia, a writer who is unsure if love is in the cards for her, and Zane, her best friend’s brother, with who’s she has always found herself clashing with for one reason or another. Thanks to her maid-of-honor duties at her best friend’s wedding, Ophelia and Zane find themselves crossing paths more than usual. What starts as tension soon turns into a fake dating arrangement, one that might just change how they both view love.

I loved the sibling dynamics and the vibrant backdrop of the Indian wedding celebrations; it was so much fun to read! Plus, the mix of Greek and Indian cultures made the story stand out, and I appreciated the thoughtful footnotes that explained traditions for readers unfamiliar with them.

The book is very heartwarming and wholesome, with some steamy scenes sprinkled in (yes, they were hot 🔥). My only drawback? There wasn’t a ton of drama or high-stakes conflict to keep me fully invested, but it was still a sweet, light story about the beauty of falling in love.

What I loved:
💓Best friend’s brother + fake dating trope
💓Multicultural wedding fun (Greek & Indian rep!)
💓Wholesome romance with a touch of spice

If you’re looking for something light, charming, and tender, Love Undercover is a perfect cozy pick.

Love Undercover is very special for me as it was my first time as an alpha reader. Trust me this story slowly sneaks upon you. With light hearted banter and a beautiful beginning it will grow into a heartfelt, tender and lovely moments that will grip you emotionally.

With the Indian wedding Set up and a lot of Indian references, I am even more connected to the story. If I thought the chemistry between Alisha and Felix was off the charts, Ophelia and Zane were even more better. God!!! they are awesome.

Ophelia is a character that I relate so much to, always there when her friends needed her. supporting their parents and needing to be loved and cherished. And I am more than happy to see her being loved, cherished and cared for by Zane.

Zane was a Hockey player, he is silent, a man with few words but when it comes to Ophelia, well, he never talked to her, but he is very intrigued by her. Their bond bloomed silently and beautifully. whenever I read their scenes there is a constant smile on my face and a warm fuzzy feeling. Not to mention their chemistry and spice which is obviously fireeeeee.

I love their sibling bonds, their friendships and their family times. This story is so intricately build with lot of emotional depth. If you are looking for a fake dating, dislike-to-lovers, warm, soft and spice filled romance that can cozy up your heart, I highly recommend this book.

Such a lovely surprise 💕. From the very first chapter, I was hooked on Ophelia and Zane’s journey. Fake dating is one of my absolute favorite tropes, and this story delivered it with charm, heart, and just enough spark to keep me smiling the whole way through.

Zane completely stole my heart 😍. There’s something so refreshing about a hero who wears his emotions openly. He doesn’t play games, when he loves, he really loves, and that made him unforgettable. Ophelia, on the other hand, was an absolute delight 🌸. She’s beautiful inside and out, with her strength, kindness, and confidence shining on every page. Together, these two had a chemistry that felt both natural and swoony, like watching two puzzle pieces click perfectly into place.

The family dynamics made me love the book even more. Both Zane’s and Ophelia’s families added so much warmth and humor, and it made the story feel grounded and real. The cultural details woven throughout were another highlight, celebrated with heart, never forced. And the Greek setting? Absolutely dreamy 🏝️✨. I could almost feel the sunshine and hear the waves while reading.

Getting little glimpses of Felix and Alisha (from Resort Romance) made me so excited to read their story next 🫶.

If you’re craving a sweet fake-dating love story with heartfelt family moments, swoony chemistry, and a touch of sunshine-filled escapism, Love Undercover is absolutely worth the read 💖📚.

What happens when you fake date your best friend’s brother? That’s the fun and romantic story of Love Undercover.

OVERVIEW
The story follows Ophelia, an independent working woman, whose best friend Alisha is getting married. But the twist comes when Ophelia and Alisha’s brother Zane who is a hockey player decides to fake date each other. At first, they don’t even like each other, but as they spend more time together, their love story becomes very cute and steamy.

MY THOUGHTS:
I finished this book in one sitting. It had everything I enjoy in a romance book:
*Slow burn romance
*Fake dating trope
*Best friend’s brother
*Dislike to lovers

Every time Zane and Ophelia were in the same place or scene, there was so much tension between them it gave me butterflies in my stomach. I also really liked the Dutta siblings. They always supported Zane and stood by him. Both Zane and Ophelia used to think that love was not for them. But when they grow closer , their connection feels natural and magical.
And of course, the wedding vibes in this book made it even more special. I love stories that include weddings, family dinners, and traditions and this book had all of that.

If you like slow burn romance with wedding vibes, emotional moments, and a sweet (but also spicy love story) then you should definitely read Love Undercover.

This is my second book by the author, and as expected, it was so good, especially with the fake dating trope, which is my favourite. Zane and Ophelia are perfect for each other. Ophelia doesn't believe that there's a true love for her, and Zane is quite busy with his games to focus on love. And not so surprisingly, they have to fake date each other. Egehehehhe it was so good, my heart was doing a little happy dance.

I loved both my babies, Ophelia and Zane. Their chemistry was amazing, the tension was for sure tensioning during the fake dating era of them. Zane is such a gentleman (green flag). He is smart and thoughtful. Zane Dutta, the man you are, if only men could be like you. The Dutta family is the cutest bundle of chaos. The family and wedding details added more fun to the story and characters. I loved how both Ophelia's and Zane's love grew gradually and bloomed into a beautiful mature love. Their character development was amazing. 💖🫶

It was a slow falling in love kind of romance and it's sweet. You literally witnesss two people falling for each other who used to dislike each other and it was such a beautiful journey to witness. I loved the writing of the book.

Overall, I loved the book, and I'll highly recommend it to all the romance lovers who just want to read simple romance with spice without altering their minds.

This is the second book in the Dutta Series, and I honestly loved it so much! It has everything—fake dating, slow burn, tension, family drama—and the chemistry between the characters will literally make you scream.

The story follows Ophelia, a writer who doesn’t really believe in love or grand gestures, and Zane, a hockey player who’s way too focused on his game to think about relationships. But life throws them together when they agree to fake date during a family wedding. What starts off as just pretend slowly turns into something real, and watching their feelings grow was just beautiful. Their chemistry felt so natural and effortless.

Zane is such a green flag! He truly loves and respects his family, and the way he treats Ophelia is so gentle and caring. I also loved the sibling bonds, the wholesome family moments, and even the food scenes—they just added so much warmth. The little touch of Hindi words throughout the book made it feel extra special.

Even though this is the second book in the series, I never felt lost at all. I was hooked right from the beginning, and the ending left me with the biggest smile. Zane completely stole my heart—he’s the kind of fictional man every girl secretly dreams of.

And also I love Kai a lot. She is the kind of sister every brother wants .

If you’re a fan of cute romances with the fake dating trope, this one is definitely for you!

Free-spirited Ophelia has always been the type to roll her eyes at big love stories and over-the-top gestures. But when she takes on the role of maid of honour for her best friend’s wedding, she suddenly finds herself spending way too much time with Zane—her best friend’s brother and the man she’s always found arrogant and insufferable.

On the surface, Zane seems to have it all: charm, confidence, and a thriving hockey career. But underneath, he’s starting to question whether success is enough when his family is nudging him toward settling down. The last person he ever expected to look twice at is Ophelia… yet somehow, his gaze keeps drifting her way.

I really enjoyed how this story brought these two together. What started as bickering and mutual dislike slowly shifted into something more, especially as they slipped into the “fake dating” setup. Their chemistry was believable, playful, and grew at such a natural pace that I found myself rooting for them from the start.

I especially loved the little details—like Ophelia’s effort to learn hockey rules just to better understand Zane’s world, and how, in turn, Zane’s life revolved around the game but still made space for her. Their support for one another, even when things weren’t easy, gave the romance heart and depth beyond just attraction.

Overall, Love Undercover was a fun and fast-paced read with a charming balance of banter, slow-burn chemistry, and heartfelt moments.

Love Undercover by Kacey Sophia is book 2 in The Dutta series and ohhh my god, it was worth the wait!! 💗 The story follows Ophelia, a writer who has zero hopes of falling in love, and Zane, the charming hockey player who’s determined to prove her wrong. He also happens to be her bestie’s brother (hello forbidden vibes 👀) and she’s the maid of honor at her bestie’s wedding, so you already know the dramaaa.

Zane’s parents won’t stop nagging him about marriage, but he’s all about his career right now. So what does he do? Comes up with a fake dating plan. And guess who he asks? Ophelia, the same girl he “pretends” to hate but secretly dreams about!! She’s hesitant (thanks to her parents’ divorce and her fear of relationships), but deep down she wants that companionship… so she says yes. And you know how this goes 👀 fake-dating alwayssss turns real.

Now, let’s talk about Zane—HE IS THE GREENEST FLAG EVER 🌿💚. Handsome hockey player ✅ family-oriented ✅ cooks for the people he loves (including Ophelia after he saw her mention her fav dish in a random post—are you kiddinggg?? I want him plsss 🥹). Ophelia is a sweetheart too—bubbly, caring, loves swimming to clear her head, but carries this little void in her heart. Luckily, she has Alisha, her family, and of course, Zane.

I’ve been waiting for Zane’s book since book 1 and finallyy got it!! And the best part? My babies Alisha & Felix are back and they’re still total couple goals ✨. The sibling dynamics?? ICONIC. I’m literally counting days for Aadi’s book now!!

If you’re looking for a soft, warm romance with found family, fake dating, cute banter with a dash of spice, then this is your sign to pick it up!!

This book was so wholesome !!! I loved Ophelia in the first book and was waiting for her own and this book made me love her more!! The funny and the most adorable thing was that both of the characters thought they were red flags and didn’t deserve love but in the end they discovered themselves and finally realised their worth !! It’s such a feel good read. There was no third act break up or no major drama between the couple and that is what I loved the most about the book!
The most beautiful thing was how we also got Alisha and Felix’s wedding 🥹 I love them in the their book and this just made me love them more!!! Their love was still shinning in this book.
The family and the sibiling dynamic was the best !! I love how the author makes it feel like the reader is actually in the conversation and that is why u know i can pick up any book of Kacey’s and I know I’m going to love it !! My only complaint of the book is that Zane and Ophelia should’ve had more fake dating scenes. It just felt like they jumped directly into real relationship. I loved it though it was too cute 🥰

“Love Undercover” was such a sweet, swoony read that I finished in one sitting!
Ophelia has convinced herself that love just isn’t meant for her, while Zane is too focused on his hockey career to think about relationships. But when his Zane’s parent were eager to find someone for him. He found himself with a fake date who is none other his sister’s maid of honor Ophelia.
Both of them were so convinced that love isn’t in cards for them, and the way their story unfolded as a slow burn, with both doubting themselves and love, honestly made me tear up.
What I adored most was how grounded their romance felt. It actually Ophelia felt so authentic and relatable, and Zane is such an absolute green flag energy. The way he treats his family and how patient he is with Ophelia melted me completely. Also his nickname for her is “Angel”? I love it.
The multicultural details made in this book are even more special. In her we got the both Greek and Indian culture, an amazing family dynamics, food, and wedding traditions which I love so much.. It genuinely felt like being part of the celebration.
Best part? No unnecessary third-act breakup. Just communication, growth, and two people realizing they might be each other’s safe place.

A heartwarming, multicultural romance that beautifully blends humor, authenticity, and slow-burn chemistry. The story follows Ophelia, who believes love isn’t in her destiny, and Zane, a hockey player too focused on his career to think about romance. But when circumstances bring them together through a wedding and a fake dating setup, sparks slowly but surely ignite into something deeper and very real.
What makes this book stand out is how relatable and realistic it feels. The romance isn’t rushed; instead, it unfolds naturally, allowing readers to truly feel the bond forming between Zane and Ophelia. The representation of both Indian and Greek cultures was not only refreshing but also celebrated with warmth through traditions, food and family dynamics. The supporting characters, especially Felix and Alisha, added even more depth and charm, making the story richer.
Ophelia shines as a strong, authentic heroine, while Zane is both dreamy and thoughtful, the perfect balance of heart and mind. Together, their journey is sweet, witty, and swoon-worthy.
If you’re looking for a romance that feels real, diverse, and utterly adorable with a sprinkle of spice in it, then , Love Undercover is the perfect pick!

Love Undercover by Kacey Sophia is such a refreshing and warm romance that had me hooked from start to finish.

The story brings together Ophelia, a Greek maid of honor, and Zane, her best friend’s brother from India, through a fake-dating setup that turns into something very real. Their journey from playful banter to deep emotional connection felt authentic and beautifully written.

I especially loved the tropes woven into the story—fake dating, best friend’s brother, dislike-to-lovers, forced proximity, and of course, the cross-cultural romance element that gave it so much charm. The Indian wedding backdrop was one of my favorite aspects—it added vibrancy, family warmth, and mouthwatering food moments that made the story come alive.

Zane’s caring, family-first nature paired so well with Ophelia’s independence and guarded heart. Together, they created a balance that felt both swoony and heartwarming. And the spice? Perfectly done without overshadowing the emotions.

If you enjoy romantic comedies with strong family bonds, delicious cultural details, and a romance that’s both heartfelt and spicy, this book is an absolute must-read.

This book is the perfect mix of fake dating chaos and all-too-real feelings.

Zane may seem like a simple man, but the way he wears his emotions so openly makes him unforgettable. He doesn’t hold back—he falls hard, fast, and with every bit of his heart on display. Honestly, it’s one of the most beautiful traits to see in a fictional hero, and Zane completely nails it.

Ophelia is just as captivating. She’s gorgeous, yes, but what really shines is her strength, her kindness, and the way she knows her own boundaries. She feels deeply, and when she lets herself fall for Zane, it’s with no hesitation and zero regrets. The two of them together?

They complement each other in the best possible way—his intensity balancing her grace, her warmth matching his vulnerability.

The cherry on top? The side characters. They’re fun, layered, and bring even more life to the story, making this world feel vibrant and real.

If fake dating is your favorite flavor of romance, this story is exactly what you’ve been waiting for—sweet, heartfelt, and full of sparks.

Love Undercover by Kacey Sophia is a cute romcom which will make you believe that true love exists and when the right time comes nothing can stop you from finding your forever❤️

Ophelia and Zane believe that love isn't written for them. But everything changes when they have to spend time together during Alisha and Felix’s wedding, since he is the brother of the bride and she is the bridesmaid - forced proximity 🤭

Here’s the twist they decide to fake date till the wedding and end up falling head over heels for each other 😭❤️

Zane is a hockey player, very career oriented and a gentleman. He is family man and is very protective of his loved ones. Alsooo he can cook and he gave her a nickname- Angel. I love this mannnn.

Ophelia on the other hand is a very strong woman.
She is so real and authentic about everything, her fears, her feelings and her dreams. She is my favourite!!

We can see both Greek and Indian culture in this book which makes it very wholesome and beautiful.

The writing is beautiful and i absolutely love Kacey Sophia 🫶🏻
