Eddie’s life is not as it appeared online. Things out here on his isolated homestead are strange. His stories are becoming more complicated. It’s not what I was expecting at all, it’s… unsettling.
But who am I to judge? I know how childhood trauma can echo through adult life. The messy grief, the unanswered questions, the contradictions that make us human… If that’s what we’re dealing with, I think I can handle most of that.
And I can’t quite resist the temptation to keep digging into what is really going on here.
Because I didn’t tell Eddie everything, either. This time, I was careful. I played down my past. I let him think I was sweet, green, maybe even a little helpless. I wanted to be new in his eyes. Untouched. The kind of woman who could be adored without suspicion.
I’m starting to realize that Eddie is hiding some very dark secrets.
And then a violent hurricane traps us
Eddie has a reason for everything. He’s always gentle. Always just this side of reasonable. But now, he keeps finding ways to stop me from leaving—injuries, weather, guilt, love.
Before I know it, Edie has a strangle hold on my daily life—and he won’t let me go home.
I don’t know which parts are manipulation and which parts are madness.
All I know is something is very wrong here. And if I don’t figure it out soon…

CATFISHED by Anaya List is a fast, twisty read that kept me curious from start to finish. It’s full of drama, secrets, and suspense—I didn’t want to put it down!

Just want to get away from here...
All she wants to do is get away from Martin, who is gone for weeks on end, 'working', but has a lot of women contacting him on his phone.
Sometimes the old saying 'the grass isn't always greener on the other side' is true, sometimes not.
While she works to get away from the lonely mountain by herself, she gets herself into a very different kind of life than she was led to believe. After some time of conversing with Eddie online, she was certain of what she was walking into.
This story should be yelled from the rooftops to many people... Be Careful! You don't really know that it is true.

I was hooked after the 1st few pages it consumed my every thought there was no way I was putting down this book till that last page was read even hours later I'm still thinking about it. Intriguing h€!! yeah, will it raise your heart rate most definitely it'll also have you teetering on the edge of your seat. I definitely recommend this book if I could I'd give it more stars than I'm allowed.. Now the wait begins till Gaslit comes out.

Wow what a story full of tense moments and draws you in thinking it is a love story but then you realise its about a man being deceitful and how easy it is to be duped by social media.
Would highly recommend.

Catfished is a slow burn psychological suspense story. The remote, off grid property gives the story a strong sense of isolation and mystery. The creepy, isolated setting and her internal struggle make for a compelling read.

She hopes he is telling the truth. She needs him to be telling her the truth. She loves his ideas. Her future depends on him. Or will she be suffering the consequences? Edge of your seat psychological thriller. So good. So mysterious. So different.
