Christine is a woman plagued by a traumatic past. She attends a concert not expecting to find love, but fate has other plans when she meets the lead vocalist of the band Waidmann, Tobias Schwartz. Tobias is a man who doesn’t believe in love. Then he meets Christine, and his view on love changes completely. Alright. This book took me a bit to get through.
The writing started off pretty jarring, but smoothed out for the most part as the book has went on.
The 28 year age gap threw me off a bit but the FMC does act pretty mature for the most part.
I did NOT like the FMC’s “friend” Victoria at all from the concert at the beginning of the book on and by chapter 22ish we totally see why she is not likable beyond being a bad friend.
I liked the story of them falling fast but still getting to know each other better.
I liked how she became part of the circle of “family” that the band is. The guys are great and really envelope her into their fold.
The big mystery that is hinted at in the prologue is very interesting and is written out well.
I loved how they chose to honor family members with the baby’s name. That was very special as well.
Overall I liked how the story played out but this did not read like someone that has been writing for years and just decided to finally publish a book.
The story ended nicely. I can say overall I liked the story and might try her next book to see if things improve

This book is definitely INSTA love, I myself prefer a more drawn out approach to love in books BUT that doesn’t affect the content of the book so my review I’ve tried to do from the mindset of someone who would love insta stories. The story is sweet and the beginning prologue caught my attention enough that I knew I would want to finish it. The character connections were established well, and I felt the emotions of the scenes(the lows and highs). There was conflict and resolution and although sometimes books like these aren’t realistic in every aspect they are fun, feel good books. I believe books are supposed to make you explore the possible and impossible. (For me a way to escape from life and I was able to do that).

This debut had everything I love in a spicy rockstar romance…intensity, passion, and a couple you can’t help but root for. Christine and Tobias’s connection is instant but powerful, and the way their relationship unfolds kept me hooked from beginning to end.
This story delivers on the tropes perfectly: insta-love, age gap, rockstar romance, and a whole lot of spice 🔥. The push-and-pull, the tension with Christine’s best friend, and the way the couple fights for their love gave me all the feels.
If you’re looking for a fast-paced, emotional, and super steamy read with a protective rockstar hero and a heroine finding her strength, this is it. I can’t wait to see what comes next in the series!

Soon the book started I was like I need to no what happens it starts out with a tease and u just need to no what happen I really loved this book and the love at first sight and how they helped each other heal is like no other and the chemistry that these 2 share and the friendships bond is this book is top tier this is a must read and it’s actually a 10 star but there’s only 5 to leave so go get this book and Read it for your self because this is a u need to no what happens next the whole book and I love that so much about this book

Christine and Tobias. I can see this happening in real life, although i don't think it happens often.
The age gap is quite the gap but no biggie. and of course everyone has that "one" friend that has to interfere.
this story was a fun read. and i really enjoyed it. it's an original story that freaky keeps you reading and wanting to see what happens next.
I can't wait to read more books from Summer Waters.

I'm prefacing this by saying I don't typically read rockstar romances unless they grab me by the throat and demand my attention. This one did.
For a debut author, Summer expertly wove a tale full of angst and love. Tropes are listed, but (personally) I would combine a couple into one. Kinks and Trigger Warnings are both at the very beginning of the story, right below the tropes, so there is no way for someone to read without seeing them, unless they bypass it by clicking right to the prologue. And I don't want to hear about anyone b*t*hing that they aren't listed, because they are, and there is a link to them in the Table of Contents! You read without checking, that's on YOU, not the author!
Anyway, back to the review! This is a BDSM heavy story, so if you aren't into that, don't read it. If you are, read it now! You won't be disappointed.

I absolutely LOVED this book! It is such a sweet love story that also has lots of spice and heat. I loved every page of this book from the first page to the very last and once I started reading, I couldn't put it down. 🙂
I was hooked from the beginning when Christine met Tobias at his concert that she went to. I LOVED that part of the story as it reminded me of something that happened after a concert I went to a little over four years ago. 💜
One of my many favorite things about the story was when she and Tobias were talking about her writing and he took a genuine interest in her stories and wanted to read them. I love when the MMC is interested in the FMC's hobbies or career and supports her.
One of my favorite scenes from "Puppe" was in chapter 9 when they are out and he takes her to the bookstore. Another one of my favorites was the Christmas scene In chapter 19.
I also loved the dedication at the start of the book. ❤️

"I want him in my life, and I want him to stay. No, I need him in my life, and I need him to stay. It isn’t a want anymore—it’s a necessity." {Chapter 3, page 24}

“I met someone last night, and I’m pretty sure it was love at first sight, too. I’m supposed to be going home in a couple of days, and the thought of leaving is making me sick. I don’t want to abandon him, Dad. I’m frightened of losing him.” {Chapter 5, pages 33-34}
“Tobi, October tenth was a day that changed my life forever. I was prepared to go to a show, have a great time, and leave a few days later, with only memories of the music. What happened instead was I went to a show, had a great time, and found true love." {Chapter 38, page 254}
This was Summer's debut novel but you certainly can't tell that by her writing. Everything is so well done and beautifully written that if you didn't know this was her first book, you'd think that she'd been a published author for years.

Puppe was a fast-paced read with insta-love, and age gap tropes. I love a book that has short chapters and are not tooo dragged out and this book did its justice in the short chapters. This book reminded me about Daisy Jones & the six. I do look forward to reading the next book that the author is working on.

I will start off by saying that I don't normally read insta love books but I'm not against reading them now and then and fated mates stories! So glad I took a chance on this book. I love the cover. There is a big age gap in this story but Christine is very mature for her age so you don't really notice it. I don't want to spoil anything, but this is a rockstar romance with angst and drama. Looking forward to more in the series!
