With the revelation that the System could be reset in just 30 days, the only hope for the world is the successful completion of Elias Hearthsong's World Quest to establish the orphanage as a school for future adventurers.
With the three kingdoms coming together to support him, Eli must also turn his attention to a side quest that involves helping his student Kassi plant new dungeons across the continent. As he brings the System back into balance before the world-ending vote, he is forced to contend with the looming threat of Alpha, the original test dungeon that helped create this world.
With the end of the world on the horizon, there can be no mistakes.
I've enjoyed the whole series, but I think this last book was the best. The focus was on the upcoming apocalypse, but still, character development takes place. Every single character in the book is enjoyable, and the lessons the authors have in mind come through loud and clear. The story was telegraphed over the last very books, but there were still twists and turns that surprised the reader. New characters are introduced and unfortunately, they are interesting enough that I wanted to know more about them, even though it is the last book in the series I can't recommend this series enough. A good read, fun, enjoyable, even treat jerking. I understand ending the series here, but that doesn't stop me from wanting more!
Extremely well written story combining adventure, slice of life, and the love you expect from a growing family. Please read this series. You'll be glad you did. Additionally, to the writers. Thank you for a moving, emotional experience that will be read again and again. Please keep writing for us.
I’m so utterly heartbroken it’s over. I absolutely loved the storyline of this series and I was struggling to keep it together towards the end. It’s both a perfect ending but a part of me wishes that it would continue on!
This book brings to close the absolute best series written in haremlit in a beautiful way. This series made me laugh a lot, and it made me misty-eyed at times (it was dust... that's my story and I'm sticking to it!)
The MC and his wonderful harem members have reached the end-game of their battle to save the world. The Alpha dungeon wants to reset everything, wiping out all of life and starting over. They have a quest to stave that off, but can they complete it in time? Or will problems crop up with "humanity" being what it is?
This book had some really challenging points to read. The System Prophet's lonely vigil waiting for her papa's battle to conclude was poignant in both its cruelty and beauty. The group managing to just about get a win, only to have a past decision come back to bite them hard on the backside was a brilliant and long play of Chekhov's Gun.
They were balanced by moments of the usually silliness from the children, though it was much less prevalent in this book than in the previous ones.
Whether the authors realized it or not when naming this series, they really did a master class of writing it. In the words of Spinal Tap, "This one goes to 11".
This is one of those series where you are sad that it ended. You're happy for reading it but you grew to love the characters and will miss them. I found the best cure for that is to start another series. This was one of those things where it felt like the logical end to the series, that the whole series was building up to this climax. It did not disappoint. The basic story is, there is going to be a vote and if the vote goes with Dungeon alpha, the system will reset and everyone and everything will be erased and a new world with new characters will be there in their place. To prevent this they are given a world quest that goes with the orphanage becoming a full fledged school. Last Stop becoming a city, and five new dungeons being planted. Dungeon Alpha knows this quest too and is working to stop it. I was pleased with the ending, though is surprised me. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves books inspired by D&D and monster girls.
Alternate universe, LitRPG, slice of life, save the world, harem adult situations
Eli and his family prepare to face Alpha and the demonic hordes to save their world. Sad to see it end; the story pulls a few surprises. Excellent editing. Sad at the series ending, but it ends happily, and that's all I'm going to say. Enjoyable series, and if you haven't started it yet, start at the beginning. The end notes are seriously funny because Annabelle gets in the last word. LOL!
It’s book six so you know what you’re getting. But endings are. always hard. This makes a very satisfying wrap up for the whole that feels both like it has said all the series needs to say AND like it could just start fresh on the whole thing anew or spin off in a thousand different ways. It’s that perfect mix of knowing exactly what the future looks like while giving the reader all the room in the world to picture their own vision of how that plays out.
Man what an ending its bitter sweat I wish there was more but all good things must come to an end this series has had a long journey I'm proud to say it made me actually cry 10/10 truly a master class in writing I can't wait for more from you singed a fluffy tailed addict
Very much enjoyed the whole series. I was very happy to see that Hawthorne was the dominant voice throughout this series as I have been underwhelmed by her other collaborations with Knightly.
Hawthorne has created a big problem for me: her writing is league's above what I've been able to find available on Audible in the same genre!
I was very captivated by the characters and their strength and resiliency. The plot was brutal at times. I am so happy the authors respected the characters because I was getting extremely upset at times. Wonderful story telling.
This series is one of the best I've read. I'm so proud of Mayari, Eli, and everyone in between. This was absolutely incredible, and I'm sad it's over. I hope everyone goes on to be amazing.
The teens and children are really the stars of this final volume and I totally would have read a sequel of Jayson on his harem adventure. Anyway, I enjoyed this book. The final battle push felt appropriately tense and I was satisfied with the resolution overall.
Ending the series like this is cruel, and I can't believe I'm sitting here crying while writing a five-star review. Damn the both of you, excellently written.
