Hi, I’m Natalie Diggins—an autistic technologist who’s spent my career solving complex system problems. For much of my life, I struggled to find practical, real-world tools that actually worked for me as an autistic adult—so I built them.
The Autistic Adult’s Toolbox is the book I wish I’d had years ago. It’s not about changing who we are—it’s about finding tools that actually fit, so we can move through everyday life with more confidence and fewer barriers. This book is here to help you build a life that works not despite your neurotype, but because of it. It’s written for autistic adults and for the people who love us—those who want to understand us better and offer support that truly helps.
When I’m not writing or working in tech, I love exploring subway art, walking new routes home just to see what I might discover, and spending time in Broadway theaters.
I wrote this book to share what I’ve learned—tools I hope will make life feel a little more doable, a little more manageable, and maybe even a little more joyful. My wish is that reading it feels like having a conversation with a trusted friend—someone who understands the challenges and genuinely wants you to succeed.
