This collection of romantic thrillers proves one some hearts are better left unbroken.
From twisted love triangles to forbidden affairs, each story unearths the chaos that erupts when heartbreak push women past their limits. Desire becomes a death sentence. Lies are laced with lust. And love comes with a body count.
These five stories are perfect for fans of messy love, dangerous games, and Black women who refuse to go down without a fight.
These stories should make one think twice before behaving carelessly with another’s heart. The Sweetest Touch of Sin was my favorite because it pulled me in from the first line; it was a slow train wreck, and the ending left me stunned and shaking my head.
Thank you to the author for this arc copy of the book
Bodied by Keira N. James is a dark, gripping collection of romantic thrillers that masterfully blends passion with murder, heartbreak with vengeance. From the very first page, this book pulls you into a chilling world where love can be dangerous, and when hearts break… bodies drop.
The blend of romance and suspense is electric. It’s not just about who’s in love, but who’s lying, who’s hiding, and who might not make it out alive. If you’re into toxic love, buried secrets, and deadly betrayals wrapped in emotional intensity, this is for you.
The tagline “when hearts break, bodies drop…” delivers in full
Perfect for fans of urban thrillers, romantic suspense, and lovers of drama with deadly consequences.
From page one your emotions will be on a rollercoaster!
4.5 - Keira!! This was good. I love me a “Get Your Lick” back story. Every story is amazing and made you constantly want to turn the page. With each short we got to explore some really mean and selfish individuals. However, each one was dealt with in their own way. I hope no one crosses me because baby i might just use these stories as a reference. LOL.
It’s hard picking a story because they all brought something different to the table. The ending of Built To Suffer was chefs kiss. The Sweetest Taste of Sin had me smh. That person is the problem.
Can’t wait to read Vol. 2.
“The girl who filled the apartment with candles that smelled like peace, even when her spirit was in pieces.”
Bodied: Vol 1 by Keira N James & Bodied: Vol 2 by Tanisha Stewart
Whew! These two collections had me hooked from start to finish. Each short story is a mix of love, heartbreak, betrayal, revenge—and of course, women getting their lick back 😆. I was fully caught up in every single story.
Both volumes have all the right ingredients for the perfect dish served cold: suspense, drama, a little spice, and those jaw-dropping twists that make you pause and say, wait, what?!
My absolute favorite was Authorized User. Baby, when Jax said “you played with the wrong one,” I felt that in my soul.
If you like fast-paced, drama-filled reads that’ll keep you entertained and maybe even a little shook, these are it.
Reading Bodied Volume 1 and 2 felt like binge-watching Snapped—I loved every minute!
Volume 1 by Keira N. James is packed with suspenseful revenge tales that keep you on the edge of your seat. Just when you think it’s over, Tanisha Stewart takes over in Volume 2 with her signature twists that always surprise me.
If you enjoy short, action-packed stories with a thrilling edge, you’ll definitely love these volumes!
I know you lying to me! Vol 2?? I have so many questions! But in the meantime this was good.... I need more Charlie I like her style as much as thats a crazy thing to say. Charlie and Ky were my favorites! I definitely recommend to anyone who loves a good psychological thriller filled with suspense. Just prepare yourself cause the ending of one of these is going to drive you up a wall!
Every one of these stories was on point and serving up healthy portions of REVENGE, chile! The Sweetest Taste of Sin had me like 👀🤯 Keira always tells a crazy story though so I wasn't expecting anything less from this collection. She legit bodied this book! Can't wait for Vol. 2.
A nice collection of stories. I liked them all, especially the story titled, Built To Suffer. Zora’s revenge was the best. Some of the killations should have been a little more brutal. I can’t wait to read Vol. 2, especially so I can find out what Jaxlyn is gonna do.
