Omg I’m obsessed with this book. I completely devoured it!! The fmc and mmc are both obsessed with each other and unhinged (in the best ways we like our characters). They are the perfect book couple when it comes to dark romance and I loved it. This will have you hooked from the start. As always read your tw.

Ok, if I had any doubts before, I can now say with certainty that I'm into dark romance.
This book pushed my boundaries, exploring vigilante justice, vengeance, trauma, and how far you'd really go for the people you love.
I couldn't put it down.
The depraved things that Sasha and Theo do to each other, for each other, made this a sinfully dark romance that kept me gripped until the end.

This was a great story! Sasha and Theo were amazing characters, I love a murderous couple it’s so fun. The plot was fast paced, the writing was awesome and of course the spice was on point.

First things first—please read the trigger warnings before picking this up. This is an extremely dark romance, and Katie Night does not hold back. The pages are filled with blood play, knife play, serial-killer lovers, murder, stalking, trafficking, kidnapping, torture, body modification, tattooing, and strong BDSM themes. If any of those are too much for you, this won’t be the book for you.
That being said, if you’re a dark romance reader who craves intensity, obsession, and spice, this book has it all. It’s brutal, raw, and unapologetic in every way. Sasha (FMC) is vengeful and fearless, and Theo (MMC) matches her darkness perfectly. Together, they’re explosive—a twisted, dangerous pair who would raze the world just to keep each other safe. Their connection is unshakable, and what makes it so compelling is that their souls are equally dark and equally hungry. They aren’t looking for light—they thrive in the blood and shadows.
What I loved most is how Katie Night really leans into the “soulmates through chaos” dynamic. I devoured this book!! Theo and Sasha were amazing characters. Their chemistry together was scorching, the things they did so dark and depraved. Katie did an amazing job with this story. It drew me in immediately, and I was hooked till the very last page. Be sure to check the TW before reading, then enjoy!!

The plot really worked for me—I loved that the main characters shared a similar sense of loss, which pulled them into darkness and made their connection feel raw and believable. As morally questionable as their choices were, it’s impossible not to root for them.
The obsession that fueled their story was intense, shifting from fixation to lust and eventually into love. (And yes, there were plenty of sex scenes—no complaints there!) What I especially enjoyed was how the darker, murderous undertones were woven in without losing the emotional thread.
For a shorter read, it still packed in strong character development and backstory while painting a vivid picture of obsession. I loved how the line blurred between morally wrong and this is hot, give me more.
This was my first read from this author, and I’d say it definitely delivered
I give it a 4 because I found at times I wanted even more character building than spice. That being said, the spice ate and left no crumbs, definitely 🌶🌶🌶🌶.5

The way that I Loved this story!! Katie Night can write anything and I will read it. Her last two books I adored. This one I am Obsessed.
The amount of red flags Sasha and Theo both have was exactly what I like. I loved Sasha and how she was wanted to take care of business. I adore a boss babe. Theo’s unhinged possessiveness is a green flag for my book boyfriends.
If you like a light dark romance, some epic banter. A woman that stalks her man and they freaking tattoo each other. With some spice that was HOT. This baby is for for you 😘😘

This is an amazing story of lust, m*rder and revenge. Sasha needs revenge against her mother's m*rderer. Theo is a billionaire and a vigilante predator who rids the city of horrendous criminals who deserve their fate. Sasha starts following Theo and watches from the shadows but he senses her presence and draws her out. They begin to "work" together to rid the town of baddies. Their chemistry is so intense and fiery. From their vengeance for justice to their lust for each other, there is passion throughout. If you love dark romance this is definitely one you don't want to miss. I can't wait to read more from this author.

Being in a slump when I started this book sucked. Because why did it take me 11 days to read this absolute masterpiece I will NEVER understand. I loved Theo and Sasha so much. They are the perfect spooky couple and Theo deserves all the love. He’s like a grizzly bear in a teddy bears form. I will probably never shut up about this man. And Sasha is so strong. Like you don’t even understand how strong this woman is until you read it. Please give this couple and this book a chance. Also the scarecrow? HAHAHAHA. Loved that.

Without spoiling anything about it! This was a perfect dark romance story!! I loved every single second of it and it got me hooked! I think that both Theo and Sasha were perfect for each other! They’re both stalkers who fall in love! It was pretty spicy but i loved every second of it! They really gave the trope of touch her/him and 💀 which i love because you barely really see both the FMC and MMC in that trope. it’s usually one or the other! I think the story was well written, it was pretty easy to read and very very hooking! If you love dark romances, i’d hop onto this train ASAP!!

This book was as intriguing as it was twisted, and it had me hooked from the start. Theo wasn’t just in love with Sasha—he was obsessed. And the wild part? Sasha was just as obsessed with him. Two killers falling for each other—what are the odds? One already renowned, the other eager to learn.
Taylor frustrated me as a character, but I’ll admit the smut scene with him at the beginning wasn’t bad at all. The book overall leaned heavily into the spice—definitely more smut than heartfelt moments—but it was undeniably hot.

Heat level: 4/5. When the serial killer gets stalked then turns the tables. They are both so obsessed with each other. Love it. He teaches her how to own her darkness and helps her find her crown. And helps her get her revenge. Such touch her and die vibes. * swoon * Editing needs to be tightened up since there were a handful inconsistencies that had me rereading a few times, but not so bad that it was super confusing.

Ok so I have read dark romance before and really enjoyed it. I did not, however, realize how broad the umbrella is lol. Shadows of Obsession is DARK dark romance. There were scenes that made me clutch my dang pearls, and I am NOT easily shocked. Overall, it was a fun ride for sure, but I’ve learned that there are some aspects of dark romance that might not be for me lmao. Katie did a great job with this and if you love dark romance, you will love this book.

I have no words for how amazing this book was. I love how perfect Theo and Sasha are for each other and how he loves every dark and depraved thing about her. This was definitely an intense and bloody book but it was sooo good. I highly recommend this book if you're looking for a dark romance with an obsessive MMC who will do anything for her.

I’ve never ate a book up so fast! Sasha and Theo had me questioning my own morals with the level of spice this book had! I really can’t stop recommending it to my friends. The way Theo was soooo tender with Sasha. I really loved this book.
