Fun Together

Rate this book
Faye Wilson is a chronic homebody in desperate need of a fun makeover. She’s processing a recent break-up in all of her usual working too much and ignoring those Bad Feelings. Determined to remake herself, she creates “Faye’s Hierarchy of Fun,” a foolproof guide to become her most fun self at work and in her personal life. Oh, and in bed.

Eli Miller may have gone overboard in the fun department, and he’s finally ready to get serious. Five years failing to balance work and play in New York City has left him with nothing but an empty savings account and a longing for something stable and real. A move back to his hometown in North Carolina is just the fresh start he needs to get back on track, or so he thinks.

When Eli starts a new job that brings him face to face with Faye—his best friend’s ex, and the woman he tried (and failed) to not think about for years—his fresh start gets a little more complicated. Especially when he volunteers to help Faye check off items on her Fun List. As they spend more time together, feelings develop that could ruin their best-laid plans. Or maybe they’ll learn that finding happiness isn’t about being fun or being serious, but about finding the person that makes it easy to be both.

you need to read this book if you want to be constantly giggling, kicking your feet everywhere.

this book is the perfect slow burn, friends to lovers.

i loved seeing faye’s journey of breaking up with andrew and not feeling like she can accept love because of her past and then eli being the absolute ultimate lover boy by reassuring her and being there for her — one of my favourite quotes was “𝐈’𝐥𝐥 𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐦𝐲 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐦𝐞. 𝐀𝐧𝐝 𝐢𝐟 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐰𝐨𝐧’𝐭 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐦𝐞, 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐈’𝐥𝐥 𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐦𝐲 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞 𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐲𝐨𝐮.” LIKE WOOWWWWW😫😫😫😫😫

faye and eli have the best chemistry and banter and they are my new favourite book couple and i’m rooting for them foreverrrrrrrr!!!!

also side note- justice for andrew because what a good friend having to watch your ex and your bestfriend and still giving the best advice like wow we need his love story next

After dodging a proposal six months earlier from her long term boyfriend, admin assistant to a VP at a tech firm Faye is stunned to share an elevator with her ex’s best friend from college, returned home to NC and newly hired by her firm. He’s grown into his features and is perhaps even more kind, funny, and engaging than she’d recalled him being. Their coffee break moments become the highlight of her chaotic workdays, and when he panic calls her with a plant emergency at her ex’s apartment, their attraction becomes less deniable and far more thorny.

After he’s fired for lying to his previous employer about his timesheets, Eli has little choice but to return home to his parents’ home and seek other employment. Running into his best friend’s former girlfriend reminds Eli of how much he crushed on the fair Faye. Surely if his BFF is in Holland pursuing his online love, Faye’s not off limits?

The pair bumble through the rationalizations initially but real feelings come into play, as well as heavy childhood baggage. Perhaps Eli is struggling with an undiagnosed attention disorder as well, although it isn’t specifically addressed. What does unfold, though, is a really sweet, steamy love story that feels believable and very specific to our current times. Never moralizing nor condescending, it’s just a very good modern romance with all the messy parts on display. I ate it up and loved every moment of it.

I was generously provided an advance reader copy by Love Notes PR, and I’m pleased to share my honest and enthusiastic review.

While this book wasn’t for me, I can see how another reader could love it. The humor and writing style didn’t resonate with me personally, and I found the characters to be very shallow. It almost seems like it’s trying too hard because the text didn’t flow naturally if that makes sense. That said, I know that there are readers out there who will see themselves in these characters and I don’t want to discount that. My dislike or criticism of the book isn’t an attack on the author or readers who do like it, it just didn’t work for me.

Eli (MMC) and Faye (FMC) have known each other for over six years (because she was in a serious relationship with his best friend) and yet they know next to nothing about each other and that doesn’t really change through the course of the story. They spend the entirety of the book saying “we shouldn’t” but no real development happens, they stay fairly stagnant as individuals and as a couple until one day they just get together. Add in a third act breakup that is there just for the sake of the romance novel formula (the character development during their time apart was very shallow and I didn’t believe in the relationship when they got back together) and I was left wanting more from these characters’ journey.

thank you sm to Love Notes PR for the arc! 🫶🏻

This was sooooo sweet and funny and v reminiscent of an early 2000’s romcom! As a whole I definitely enjoyed it, and the way that faye + eli’s relationship bloomed was so natural and sincere (the chemistry was 😙👌), which I loved/devoured, bc soft couples 🥹 >>>

That being said, I do think they were a little bit /too/ dependent on one another and I feel like they both needed to find themselves a bit more before jumping into a relationship — especially bc at the beginning of the book faye is just getting out of a long term relationship, and eli is just starting to get serious about his life.

I think had the pacing/timeline been a little different and more fleshed out this would’ve been more of a 4-5 star read for me, but I still had a good time with faye + eli!

✨arc review✨

This was an amazing, fun read! And the author's debut novel?? I loved it!! Faye broke up with her boyfriend a while ago, and is in need of something fun. Eli, her ex's best friend, is back home living out of his parent's basement, and is fresh off many years of fun. Who better to show Faye a good time? I loved how these 2 fell for each other. And the humor in this book?? Unmatched. I laughed out loud so many times, and this book was the perfect blend of funny, sweet, and wholesome.

Thank you to Hillary Noelle and Love Notes PR for the arc!!

Eli and Faye's story was cute. Both characters were portrayed well. Their jobs were a big part but not really detailed. The chemistry was good and it was well written.

I don’t have anything deeper to say other than this was a fun, lovely beautiful love story.

I love when couples in books laugh together and act like actual human beings so Eli and Faye are new faves.

If you like sweet romantic comedies with a little bit of spice then pick this one up.

Fun Together - Hillary Noelle

When I choose a book to read, whether I see it on my Kindle app, on Audible, on the shelf, or as an ARC on offer with a bunch of others (within the same genre obviously), I generally want something that's easy to read, feel good, some angst & interesting sounding characters. Fun Together was one such book on offer for my latest ARC, I hit 'apply' straight away.
My review, having read this over the past 24 hours has nothing but good things about this book - for the plot line, please read the blurbs to the book - I am always scared Im going to give too much away!
When I read, often it's right before I go to sleep, so I need something that is easy to read, but it still needs to take me through a whole range of emotions, which this does.
Faye turned down Andrew's proposal but it wasn't the result of heartbreak, but something lonelier - the quiet conviction that real love was not there with him & he deserved more than she could give him. Its a detail tucked into the narrative, but it casts a long shadow over her emotional reserve.
When Eli meets Faye in the elevator at work - she is surprised to see him, but they rekindle a friendship they once shared before he moved away.
At its heart, this is a slow burn romance built on friendship - tender, unspoken moments layered with mutual care that neither dared to name. What makes it all the more aching is the shadow of the past: he is best friends with her ex, the one she never truly loved, & they both carry the weight of that history. Their growing closeness is laced with restraint, not only out of respect, but out of fear - fear of hurting someone they both care about, & fear of admitting that this, what they're building now, might be real. The tension simmers when Andrew returns from overseas & witnesses stolen glances & interactions & then confessions by Eli to Andrew about his feelings for Faye.
Overhearing the conversation, Faye pulls back, her pulling away was one of the story's quiet heartbreaks - a moment shaped by fear, not of him, but what it would mean to let herself love fully. She stepped back just when it mattered most, & it hurt. But when she found the courage to speak the truth - to say that she loved him, the emotional weight of everything that came before finally lifted. It was tender, raw & deeply satisfying. They both have their own issues to deal with, but you feel that together they will help each other navigate these challenges in their lives.
There was a definite eb & flow of emotions through this book - & I was right there for it all. thoroughly enjoyed it.

Thank you to @lovenotes.pr & @_hillarynoelle_ for the opportunity to receive this ARC. :)

Do I Recommend: Yes, it's a super cute, funny read that still has heart

Favorite Quote: "'You're not showing me the basement? I wanted to meet your roomie, Santa." Another sheepish smile. "Since my parents are gone, I get to sleep in the office that's also a guest room." He pulls me closer and his deep voice rumbles in my ear. "Santa doesn't need to see what we're about to do."'

Review

Fun Together was such a cute, easy little romcom that was easy to fly through, but also had enough heart to make the story compelling and the characters feel real - not just silly caricatures.

The book starts with Faye in a really rough spot in the months after breaking up with her safe, long-term boyfriend, who didn't really stir any feelings in her. She was floating along in life, hiding and not dealing with any of her emotions related to her break-up, then Eli, her ex's best friend and her friend from college, ended up working at her company. Their friendship immediately sparks back to life, with some extra mutual pining fireworks that both sides tried to deny. I think Eli and Faye were perfect counterparts for each other, and I really loved their dynamic.

I really enjoyed the frequent banter between the MCs and how they always tried to support each other, even when it didn't align with what they wanted for themselves. There were a lot of funny moments throughout the story, including a nefarious buzzing box 👀. Even though the story is billed as a romcom, the characters still experienced a fair amount of struggles and growth, both in the relationship and personally. I also enjoyed the side characters, particularly Rhett and Faye's grandfather.

My main critiques with the story are that both characters with frustrating at times, but more so Faye. Eli sometimes made poor decisions in an attempt to save others' feelings, whereas Faye's poor decisions tended to be somewhat selfish, related to attempting to protect herself. She put so much energy into fighting everyone around her who was trying to help. At times, she was honestly exhausting, but I was ultimately so happy with both of their growth.

Ultimately, I definitely feel like this one is worth the read!

Thank you Love Notes PR for this ARC- the following review is my own thoughts and feelings about this book.
Speaking of, this book is what happens when an uncomfortable breakup after several years leads to flirting with and eventually dating your ex’s best friend. I mean, it was nice that it wasn’t for spite in this story as it’s been in others, but rather these two questioning if the chemistry and crushes have been there all along.
And who are they? Well, Faye is a 20 something who has only been in one long term relationship, has been in one bland, dead end job since she was there as an intern, and she’s got family trauma that probably will impact any relationship she enters (don’t we all?). She’s looking for a new spark and some fun in her life.
Eli is a guy who moves back home after some jobs with another dead end type job, lives with his parents temporarily, and is sucked back into his college crush when he starts his job.
So here’s the good: they had really sweet chemistry, including for the few spicier scenes!. They brought out the good and confided in each other the bad. I rooted for them early on. Supporting characters- friends and family- were really great.
The less good: their jobs were the most bland part of all of this. And while that doesn’t always matter in a book, that was part of the central theme in their character journeys. But it was enough for me to roll my eyes at times. Even with that, the book’s pacing was good.
I really do think this is a book that some would love more than I did, as I could see people relating to Eli or Faye’s journeys in a way I couldn’t.

Firstly,I want to thank LoveNotes Pr & Hillary Noelle for trusting me with this ARC!🫶🏻
Faye needs to change herself. After a recent break up she wants to break free of the workaholic homebody life and have her own makeover!Just like that Faye's Hierarchy of Fun begins✨.
Eli is back, after a major failure to balance life in the big city,he is into his parents' apartment again and ready to start over.Just in the first day of his new job he sees the woman that he failedly attempted to not to think about for years, what will hapen when their paths will cross?

Starting this story,I thought it would be a cute, fun rom-com,however this time it was not the case for me.Do not get me wrong,I loved Faye!I founded her so funny, beautiful ,on the inside and out, and all her lines where perfect, yet the whole plot and the other characters were not my cup of tea.
Most of the time,I founded the story dull and was not able to connect with the characters the way I wanted to.Literally,I saw a lot of potential with this one,but I can say that it was not delivered right for me.
Plus,I would want to have more romance scenes, because I felt that we went from I do not know,I like him/her but,to having kisses & s*x really quickly.I would love to see more emotional stability in the between or maybe a change in the pace of things that happened and to add more scenes!
My actual deal breaker with this one was that my reading exprerience, was devided.
What I mean by that is I had to constantly close the story take a break and then continue-yes,it was not a good experience for me.

Hillary Noelle promised a rom com that would make me giggle and kick my feet, and wow — she did just that!! I didn't stop smiling, laughing, squealing, for the full 340 pages and by the last few chapters I even had to hold back tears. I couldn't have picked a better book or group of new friends (Faye, Eli, Rett, even Cameron LOL) to keep me company on my overnight shifts.

I loved the writing so much that even the last sentence of the acknowledgements brought me to tears - it's been awhile since a book has make me genuinely happy. One of my favorite details was how Faye (and her grandpa) had comfort horror movies that they turned to when needed. I grew up watching horror movies with my dad and have at least five that I still watch obsessively on repeat.

Now for Faye and Eli...*sigh*...they are my NEW FAVORITE BOOK COUPLE. I'm obsessed. From the moment they first ran into each other after years of not seeing each other, the tension was there - soooo overwhelming BUT IN THE BEST WAY!!! I was on edge the whole book and it was the perfect amount of slow burn and instalove for me.

THE FLIRTING AND BANTER!!! I DIDNT THINK I WAS GOING TO SURVIVE. AGAIN - O V E R W H E L M I N G. Eli is literally the type of green flag I would want by my side every day. He's so hot that it made me so swoony and anxious but so safe at the same time LOL. His listening skills, his emotional intelligence, his attentiveness... and the fact that HE ALWAYS ASKED FOR CONSENT?! WE LOVE TO SEE IT.

Huge thank you to Love Notes PR and Hillary Noelle for the ARC in exchange for an honest review! I now have a new favorite romance book - YAY!!

I wanna start off saying that the author of this book reached her goal of making me giggle while reading it. Taking that in consideration, this book had me hooked straight from the cover. It’s simple, pretty and once you start knowing the characters , you see that the cover resembles all the feelings in the words written. I loved how the first chapter started , I felt so related to it , I could not stop reading. From there I really had no stop. The story treats a variety of topics which I found the author represented them extraordinarily well. I read this on my kindle which means that I read this book EVERYWHERE AT ANYTIME. I was at work and I was reading, that’s how invested I was in the storyline. The story, the scenes, the topics were so well written that for me, the reader, was easy to enjoy, read and I can say I would 100% re-read it. I in some way felt a connection with the characters and the whole story. The female character goes through emotions that I think every girl has felt at least once in her life in some kind of relationship (parents, partner, etc.) and the male character, in my opinion, is also someone you can easily relate to as a girl. Is always give it all or being afraid to be happy and that’s precisely what I liked about this book the most. Even though I giggled and had fun reading it, I also absorbed a lesson from the story. The lesson being that, you can be afraid of speaking your emotions and that’s okay, when you’re ready to speak them, there is going to be someone who will listen to you and be grateful that you trusted them for such an important step.

Thank you, Hillary Noell,e for providing this ARC of Fun Together in exchange for an honest review.

Summary
Faye and Eli are two friends (through Faye's ex Andrew) who’ve always been comfortable in their casual dynamic… until the lines start to blur. What begins as easy companionship slowly nudges into questions of love, heartbreak, and whether you can truly date someone who has known you at your very worst. This cosy romance is filled with humour, awkward charm, and the kind of small, imperfect moments that feel real rather than staged.

Review
This book was an absolute delight. It’s a cosy romance, but it never feels cliché. Faye and Eli aren’t the kind of characters who have their lives perfectly together - they’re flawed, very human, and endearingly messy. From sleeping in parents’ basements surrounded by Christmas decorations to sofa-bound laziness and failing to make a home feel personal, their realism makes their eventual connection so satisfying.

The romance itself avoids the typical “fake dating turns into love” trope. Instead, it’s two casual friends slowly navigating the messy territory of “can I date my ex-best friend?” And the payoff is worth it – scenes like the bath moment (yes, I squealed) and their first kiss hit perfectly, more satisfying than any staged “pretend kiss” bar scene could have.

I loved how the story keeps you guessing despite wanting a certain outcome. Faye’s self-sabotage makes the journey unpredictable, and it only adds to my enjoyment. I’m definitely excited to see what comes next... will the next book focus on Eli’s brother?

Fun Together is a great friends to lovers, slow burn, workplace romance. I really enjoyed Eli and Faye story. I found both of them to be likeable and relatable. Faye and Eli have known each other for 6 years. They meet because Faye’s boyfriend was Eli’s best friend. In the present Faye’s relationship as end and is dealing with the aftermath of it. One day at work she goes to get on the elevator and standing there was Eli. From that moment the relationship between these two slow starts to build.

I loved that they were there for each other. Basically rooting each other on. They brought the good and best out of each there. Another thing I loved was Eli didn’t push Faye when it came to the next step in their relationship. He didn’t force her to make decisions. He gave her the space she asked for and the time. In terms of the writing, I thought it was done well. The story was told at good pace. I felt that it seems like a realistic story in terms of Eli and Faye’s relationship. There are steamy scenes , they were well written. The amount of steamy was right for this book. It didn’t over take the story.

Overall, Fun Together is great friends to lovers, slow burn, workplace romance. The main characters are likable and relatable. The story will have you hook from the beginning to the end.

Fun Together by Hillary Noelle was exactly what I needed after my last read. It’s a fun romcom with amazing chemistry between the main characters, and honestly—I wish more romance books were like this one.

📖 What It’s About
Faye breaks up with her long-term boyfriend and unexpectedly runs into his best friend, Eli, at work. From there, sparks fly. I wasn’t sure I would like the “ex’s best friend” trope, but it worked perfectly here. Faye and Eli are so compatible that you find yourself rooting for them from the very beginning.

💭 My Thoughts
This book balances humor and heart so well. While there are plenty of laugh-out-loud moments, it also touches on heavier themes like absent parents, which gave the story depth.
The chemistry between Faye and Eli was amazing, and their relationship felt natural and sweet.
The side characters were just as fantastic! Evie and Emmett (Eli’s siblings) completely won me over, and I’m hoping they get their own books. I especially want to see what happens between Evie and Andrew. And Rett’s supportiveness toward Faye had me wishing for her happy ending too.

💌 Final Thoughts
This romcom was such a refreshing read and left me smiling. If you’re looking for a story that’s both fun and heartfelt, I highly recommend Fun Together.

Faye Wilson is a chronic homebody in need of a makeover. She's processing a recent break-up by working too much and ignoring her feelings. With help from a friend, she creates “Faye's Hierarchy of Fun,” a guide to become her most fun self. Eli Miller may have gone overboard in the fun department but he's finally ready to get serious. A move back to his hometown is just the fresh start he needs, or so he thinks. Elis new job brings him face to face with Faye, and volunteering to help her check items off her Fun List...

Faye and Eli had good chemistry—no surprise since the story is built on a long-time crush—and I liked them together. They were supportive and able to confide in each other. That said, their relationship sometimes felt too dependent, with both placing their sense of happiness on each other’s shoulders rather than finding balance in themselves. When things went south, they both spiraled, which made their connection feel rushed and uneven at times. The pacing dragged here and there with filler. Still, despite those flaws, I enjoyed this book overall.

Extremely fun, undeniably sweet, and a perfect book for the romantics!

I need every romance reader to read this debut as soon as possible because it was amazing!! The chemistry was sizzling from the moment these two characters saw each other and reignited their friendship. On one hand, we have Eli, a funny, outgoing golden retriever, who is all smiles, tattoos, and good vibes. On the other hand, we have Faye, a black cat with some confidence issues and a tendency to build walls around herself and deny everyone access. Two perfectly written opposites that had a touch of each other's personalities in themselves — and that's why they fit together so exceptionally. I loved their banter and how easy it was for them to joke and become close friends. I loved the combination and execution of tropes in here (ex boyfriend's best friend, grumpy x sunshine, work buddies, a fun to-do list) and how well they were incorporated into the story. I loved how much these two made me smile, giggle, and kick my feet (things I was promised in the Content note). I loved the writing style and the storyline almost as much as the characters. All in all, I loved everything about this book.

Highly recommend! If you liked 'the list' aspect of Get a Life, Chloe Brown, I think you'd like this one too! And if you like MMCs that will make you laugh and steal your heart while tumbling down the walls around the FMCs, I think you're going to adore this one!

A huge thank you to Love Notes PR and the author for sending me an ARC of this book!

This book was such a joy to read. The story had me smiling, laughing, and even tearing up at times. It’s the kind of romance that feels modern, heartfelt, and full of personality.

Faye is trying to rebuild her life after a breakup, and her idea of creating a “fun list” to push herself out of her comfort zone was both relatable and sweet. Eli, her ex’s best friend, shows up unexpectedly at her workplace, and from the moment they meet again, the chemistry is undeniable.

Their friendship slowly turns into something deeper. The banter between them was hilarious, and their emotional connection grew in such a believable way. Eli is charming, thoughtful, and genuinely supportive. Their dynamic was a perfect mix of playful and tender.

The story also touches on deeper themes like self-worth, fear of vulnerability, and learning to trust again. It never felt heavy. Great dialogue, lovable characters, and a message about finding joy in unexpected places.

✨Fun Together was such a sweet and charming story! I really enjoyed the dynamic between Faye and Eli—her “Hierarchy of Fun” list made for some adorable and creative moments, and I loved how Eli encouraged her to push past her boundaries while also finding his own balance.🥹The best-friend’s-ex angle gave their romance just the right amount of tension and made the story more engaging.🤌🏽

💕The banter and chemistry between them were playful and easy to root for, and I found myself smiling through a lot of their interactions. 😂There were a few slower parts here and there, but overall the pacing was solid and the growth each character went through made the story feel rewarding. I really want to know Andrew’s HEA. 🤭

If you enjoy lighthearted rom-coms with flirty banter, fun adventures, and a message about finding happiness in both fun and stability, Fun Together is definitely worth picking up.🙌🏽

At the start of this story, like her greatest fear, I had a hard time connecting and getting to know Faye. She started out very odd to me but the more I read on, the more I was able to piece together who she was and understand her better. In a way, it made it easier to connect with Eli. Like Eli, I wanted to know and understand Faye better. I really enjoyed how different they were. Even if their connection was so obvious that it was dumb they kept apart. Even if their failed attempts at other relationships were awkward to read, I enjoyed the other cast of characters brought in (fingers crossed for Rett and Cameron 🤣).

I did really like how this story ended. I enjoyed that both Eli and Faye were able to settle their separate issues with Andrew and find what works best of both of their futures together.

“I hope she’ll let you love her.”

Faye is in her 20s, newly single after a long-term relationship, stuck in a job she’s been in forever, and struggling to remember what it feels like to have fun. Thanks to her best friend, she’s pushed into rediscovering herself… Just in time for Eli, her ex’s best friend, to move back to town. Despite the years and distance, it’s clear he’s never really stopped thinking about her.

The chemistry between Faye and Eli was really sweet, and Eli definitely gave off golden retriever boyfriend energy that made their connection enjoyable to read. The pacing flowed nicely and overall it was a light, easy story to get through.

For me personally, I would have loved a little more spark or excitement, especially since the story focused so much on Faye learning to embrace fun and chase new possibilities. Still, it was a heartwarming, gentle read with some lovely moments

First of all, I would want to express my gratitude to Hillary Noelle and Love Notes PR for selecting me as an ARC reader for Fun Together! 💕

This book is such a sweet mix of romance, humor, and genuine growth. Faye Wilson is the epitome of a homebody; she needs a change after a breakup. Here comes her incredible concept: "Faye's Hierarchy of Fun," a manual to assist her in living life to the fullest. As a plot device, I thought this list was fantastic; it was such a fun touch and a very sympathetic approach to depict Faye's development. Eli, her best friend ex boyfriend, a person that she hasn’t thought about for a years, came back into her life. Things got tangled up in the best possible way.

This book was more than just a romantic story, it remind me that dispite the uncomfortable, it is okay to start over again and let people in your life.

Thank you to Hillary Noelle and Love Notes PR for the ARC!

The story takes its time to set in, but it's a fun read!

Main characters: Eli is an entertaining and engaging character; he is relatable and makes a good rom-com hero. However, I find Faye a little bland without any substance. It was hard to complete the chapters from her POV.

Chemistry: This is a slow-burn romance, so it takes its time to get invested in the love story, but the payoff is worth it. Faye and Eli suit each other like missing puzzle pieces; their personalities match, yet they have different views on life, which somehow complements

Drama: Faye's abandonment issues impact her judgment in relationships, creating good plot tension. Add "best friend's ex" trope to it, and we have one light-hearted romcom

All in all, average read.

Arc reader-I devoured this book! I loved the writing.

I absolutely adored both leads in the book, but for me Eli was the best! I loved how he was always a ray of sunshine and always wanted the best for Faye.

I loved how quirky both leads were but still in a space where they weren’t weird.

I loved the pace of the book and I felt at no point in the book did it lag or go back and repeat itself.

The two leads were great but the supporting charters really stood out as well with Ret being my favorite! I hope that the author would consider doing more in this series because I’d love to see what happens with Andrew, Evie and Emmett!

I can’t say enough good things about how much I loved this book and didn’t want it to end!

Thank you to Love Notes PR for the ARC!

I had such a good time reading this book; it was such a quick, fun read. The yearning, the banter, and the slight element of "we shouldn't be together" truly made this book for me. Eli was gone for Faye; he was so soft and understanding and delicate with her, it melted my heart. I felt like I needed to hug Faye; she deserved better from her mom, and it's understandable where her issues came from.

Rett was such a light. I love her and need more from her. I feel like there's also more to learn about Evie and Emmett; these siblings definitely are more than what meets the eye. Not going to lie, I have a soft spot for Andrew, and I hope he gets the happy ending he deserves.
