I like to read books with a helluva good story as well as the superheated hot stuff, and that's the kind of thing I like to write.
The story is of utmost importance in my mind. The characters and details fit into that framework. And I take a lot of care over my characters and details.
I'm a self confessed love-a-holic, living in my heated imagination. Not that that's a bad place to be living, but it does make ordinary, day to day life, a little less than exciting at times.
I have to kick myself up the backside now and then and remind myself that books is books and life is life. LOL
I've read hundreds of books in a variety of genres - love, mystery, intrigue - and to be honest, I enjoy a little gruesome horror as well. Shocking, scary, downright gory really gets me going.
I worked in finance until a few years ago, and if you've ever read Hot Options, one of my books, you'll see a real glimpse of the old me in there. All the technical stuff is true to life.
My office is my comfy sofa and my even comfier bed. YES, it really is. I sit on my bed and type like a pro getting up to 5k words out on some days.
You will find yourself completely in love with Mason - he is flirty and sexy, and Kaydee is so beautiful, sweet and lovable. You would think they were the perfect couple...but they are dance partners, friends and roommates and have to stay just friends according to Mason. He has commitment issues that hopefully will get worked out one day, Kaydee can't worry about that right now. They are just friends and have to stay that way for sure. I really need to find out what happens in book 2, this book ends when things are getting HOT......
Wow. That was quite the build up. I am in desperation here to read part two! I simply can't wait.
The steam between those two just builds and builds until it starts whistling. I can't wait to see how they behave when they get home. It is going to be hot, hot, hot, I'm certain.
I'm so glad I saw Katrina's facebook post on this one.
But now, having been unable to put it down, it is way past my bedtime. So, goodnight.
Another steamy short from this author, and I noticed she leaves the readers hanging with a lot of questions.
I understand the dynamic between Kaydee and Mason. I didn't feel any sexual chemistry initially and the stakes were raised when Kaydee and Jackson got together. Though I have to say their first time was memorable and not in a good way. The way they made up for it wasn't exactly momentous too. Still, I enjoyed it.
I spent the whole book wishing and turning the pages hoping. What a steamy pair, all you want it them together. The tension builds and builds and I was almost crossing my fingers. Then you are sitting in the car on the journey home with baited breath. Loved it so much
