Marakitedes, berserker of the traitorous World Eaters, fights on the hull of an Imperial starship. Battling the vessel's beleaguered crew and the warriors of the Ultramarines, he is fighting not just for the thrill of combat or to feed the Butcher's Nails, but to honour his fallen brother, Enyalius, and send him to Khorne with a mighty host of skulls.

Read it because
Even crazed Khorne Berzerkers honour their dead, they just do it in... unconventional ways.Like all rituals of the Blood God, it mostly involves death bloodshed, and decapitations.

God damn that was an awesome and bloodthirsty short story!
When a World Eaters captain, Enyalius, is killed without taking the fight to the enemy, his brothers take care of that duty for him. A very awesome short story showing how the World Eaters can still honour their brothers and ensure their path to the Skull Throne is paved with the bones of their enemies!

Great stuff. The World Eaters were portrayed excellently. Blood-crazed and insane, yes, but they still had a resemblance of order and duty, even if both mean charging headlong into the slaughter where death is the only outcome.
Great stuff!

On the seventh day of Christmas, Black Library gave to us…a World Eaters short story by Josh Reynolds. Enyalius, in Memoriam follows the World Eater Marakitedes as he leads what’s left of his brothers in battle against the Ultramarines, in order to honour their fallen captain, the titular Enyalius. As they fight their way across the hull of the Ultramarines’ ship Marakitedes recalls what brought them there and considers what the future holds for him and his brothers, all the while taking skulls on behalf of Enyalius.
