One brother wants to know who killed his father while the other strives for world power. Stuck between a rock and a hard place. Kane wants to put his life back together while unpredictable situations prevent him from doing so. One being the loss of his mother to a recovery home and the other being a unannounced phone call by The Planner. A man who wants him to steal a diamond worth fifty million dollars. Now Kane has to decide is it worth loosing the ones he love most...
From the first chapter, Kane: The Perfect Family had me completely hooked. What seems like a picture-perfect family slowly unravels into a dark, disturbing story full of secrets, lies, and shocking twists. The writing is smooth and suspenseful, and each chapter left me needing to know more. If you’re into true crime or psychological thrillers that make you question everything, this book is for you. One of the best reads I’ve had in a while!
Kane & Abel story is told here. It took me a while to finally finish this story with what was going on. I didn't think I would ever finish this book, but it is finally complete for my review. I've never read this author's work before, but now I know I need to get the second book to see what happened.
Twins Kane and Abel. One is good and the other is pure evil. Not understanding the bank/museum heists at all. It's so not worth the risk. I am ready to find clarity for the crews action in Book 2.
The book began with a good hook. But,became a little predictable. But, I enjoyed the reading. The, part best enjoyed was Jordan and his reactions to Abel stare. Look forward to this part and continue reactions between Abel and jordan.
The story is interesting however, I don’t like how there is more telling the story and little communication between the characters. It’s more noticeable in the first 50 or so pages of the book. But, I’m curious as to what happens next so I will continue.
I liked how quick it got you to the point. The story gave you what you needed to know and moved on. No overly described locations. Gave you the space to create your own scene and use your imagination.
This story has a nice flow and structure. Very unfortunate turn of events had me on the edge of my seat. I enjoyed this book and will definitely be reading part 2!
It was better than I expected. I really was thrown with who The Planner was because nothing was given away to make you think of him. I can't wait for the next one. I would recommend this book to all my friends, family, and the FB book club I'm in.
