Jake Delancey is a bad boy. Often in trouble with the law, he's been on the outs with his wealthy family since his wild teenage years. But now they need him back to help run the famous Delancey horse farm and stable that has been in the family for generations.
Elle Gavin is a waitress at the Country Club in Brentwood, the exclusive neighborhood outside of Nashville. She's here to sing, not sling hash. Still, when the handsome rich boy with the beautiful blue eyes nearly gets her fired, she hates him on principle.
But it's Jake who can't stop thinking about the gorgeous Irish girl from the club. When he pursues her, she has a hard time ignoring him, despite her dislike for spoiled rich boys. Jake usually doesn't like to stick around, but this time he's not so sure he wants to run. If Elle lets him in, will he be the one to break her heart or will it be the other way around?
Joanna Blake loves good old fashioned romance, men who open doors and work with their hands. Hot Blooded Heroes is a series of sizzling stories about True Blue American men and the women who love them. She's thrilled to be collaborating with Pincushion Press on her new series! Come along for the ride! XoX, Joanna *********
Jake Delancey is the typical bad boy and the family outcast. He's been cutoff and that's fine with him until he's been called home. Elle is from Ireland, moving to Nashville to fulfill her dream of being a singer, although at the moment the only singing she's doing is at the country club. Jake and Elle are about as opposites as night and day, yet they seem to be drawn together. She turns him down at every turn and he keeps pursuing her. Ride With Me is an excellent quick, fast paced read. Their journey is one exciting ride.
Well, I really like the first and second book in the series (read chronologically). They were pretty hot, short novellas. I liked the characters and even liked the last one, although Jackson was a bit high handed, it seemed his way as big brother. I really did not enjoy the number of grammatical errors. It made me feel like reading a quickly sent text message. I can't believe all these errors would exist in a published book. That aside,
****SPOILER ALERT****
I find nothing romantic or sexy about kidnapping a repeatedly raping the woman you love. Completely ruined the series and author for me. Will not read again from a content and grammatical aspect. I only hope the author finds a competent editor to make her writings more professional, and I'm a math teacher, so if I can't stand the mistakes, I can only imagine how a writer would feel.
This is the present. Jake runs the Delancey horse stable with his brothers & Elle is a waitress at a country club, but she wants to be a singer. She is in a band. All they need is a start and for someone to hear them. The past is an altogether different story. But here they are in the country club. They catch each other’s eye. Yes, the attraction is instantaneous. She wants no part of him because he’s a rich bad boy. He wants all of her. He is petrified she will run like she did once before. It’s interesting to see all he does to keep her from doing that. This story is bold, steamy and electric. They are both strong willed and stubborn with determination. I recommend reading this book.
This is Jake and Elle's story. Jake has come home at his family’s request. His reputation as a bad-boy playboy has stuck with him. He spots Elle who is a waitress at the Brentwood Country Club and Jake was instantly attracted to her. Elle knows his reputation and doesn’t want to jeopardize her Nashville career goals. But Jake hates to lose, and he is determined to pursue her. Can he convince her he’s serious about her? Will she believe he has really changed?
I liked this book. This book read easily and smoothly. Jake and Elle were likable and I thought they made a good couple. Drama and emotion flow freely throughout the book with splashes of humor and heat added into the mix. I am posting an unbiased, unsolicited review.
This was a quick easy read that I found myself wanting more, I can not wait for the brother's stories. Jake Delancy comes home to help his brothers with the family farm before their father dies. He is the black sheep and running was his way of leaving it all behind. Ella Gavin came to Nashville to be a singer, she is good but needs the break to make it. For now, she is a waitress at a country club, waiting on all those rich, snobby people who look down on her. That is until Jake walks in. There is a pull between them that is hard to resist but Ella knows about his playboy ways and she doesn't want to be added to his long list of women. She just has to keep resisting him. By the end of this story, I fell in love with the Delancy boys and Ella has tamed Jake a little. I can't wait for more in this series. **I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review**
Hard motorcycle riding black sheep, Jake Delancey, comes back to town because his father is gravely ill. There was never a mutual lovefest between Jake, his Dad and his brothers - but he is needed, now, back home.
Jake returns, trying to make things better between the family members - one night out - he sees his next target - Elle - but she isn't stupid, but they are mutually attracted to each other. Jake keeps trying to get her attention and into his bed - she isn't falling; one night he gets her fired from her job, he is actually mortified that he feels bad about this turn of events - so he offers her a job at his family's estate, also thinking she'll be that much closer to him.
They actually develop a 'friendship', he is smitten with her - he wants her, but he wants good things for her more.
The journey that gets them to the most satisfying ending is so worth the read - LOVED IT!!

This book brings us Jake and Elle. Jake is the so called "black sheep" of the Delancey family who is quite wealthy. One day at the country club, Jake sees Elle, who is a waitress there. She is not a fan of his, she does her job, while trying to become a singer there. Jake is relentless with her, and almost gets her fired, which puts another make against him. Never before has a girl interested him as much as Elle. This is new territory for him as he is used to girls falling at his feet. This was a great quick read and I do recommend it. I did receive an arc for an honest review.
I volunteered to read this ARC for an honest review. I enjoyed this story about Jake and Elle.. She's in Nashville from Ireland to try and make it in the music world. Jake is the bad boy of the family, always on the move. When he comes home, since his father's sick, he finds himself in a predicament. He sees Elle at the country club and is intrigued by her. But she doesn't do bad boys. But as they get to know each other their feelings change. Great HEA.

This is a reworking and expansion of a previous story. I did not read the first publication so this was my first look at the Delancey brothers. This is the story of Jake and Elle. Jake is the youngest for three brothers, considered the troublemaker. Elle is a waitress/aspiring singer. Joanna Blake makes the characters live, and while I enjoyed this book, since I have read many of her books, I found the premise of the book to not be as original as some of her other books. I received this book as an ARC for my honest review.
Jake who happens to be the black sheep is also estranged from the family. Now they seem to need him to help with the family horse stables which also happens to be famous. Elle the singer/waitress at the country club in Brentwood almost got fired thanks to Jake. That causes so she thought hate on her part. Funny though they both can't stop thinking of each other. Turn the pages to see if they are able to keep dening each other.
This was a quick, easy read. I like the setting of the Nashville area and Jake was the perfect brother to start the series. I did like that Elle wasn’t as young as some of Ms Blake’s heroines, still on the innocent side but not completely virginal. When Jake falls, he falls quickly and completely. Wonder how Daniel and Jackson will fare in their stories?
Arc review I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. Jake dalancy is back home on Delaney horse ranch after being called back. While out one night at the country club he sees Elle gavin and knows she is going to be his now he just got to rope her. awesome story
Jake has finally met his match in Elle. Elle does not bow down to anyone especially Jake. What they both endure to find love and happiness is worth it. The chemistry between the two is amazing. Now sit back and wait for the other Delaney Boys to catch it.

Oh what a brilliant story. Read about Jake and Elle in a trio with his brothers Jackson and Daniel. A brilliant story you have to read, as you won’t be disappointed. Like his brothers, Jake is very protective of his woman Elle and do whatever it takes to keep her. He is all alpha male , loved it
I loved “bad boy” Jake fell for Elle. Jake left the family only to be called back home by his brothers. When he sees Elle, he is immediately hooked. Jake does everything he can to get Elle, and Elle doesn’t make it easy. I highly recommend reading book.
Loved this story I read it a long time ago. But reading it again was fun and you changed it up a little bit but it is still a really good story can't wait for the rest of the books to come out.
Chaos follows when the family black sheep comes home with some surprising outcomes
Ride With Me is the second book in The Delancey Brothers series. This book is well written with an engaging story and interesting characters. The story is about family black sheep Jake Delancey and aspiring musician Elle. Their first encounter is most memorable and not in the good way. But they do have some sparking electricity between them that misfires more than a few times but when it ignites it burns white hot.
I received a copy of this book and am leaving my honest review. My opinions are all my own.
This is my 7th Joanna Blake book to read and I can honestly say that I have enjoyed each and every one of them. From rockstars to bad boy bikers, her males are always hot and bossy but with a sweetness and vulnerability deep down. In Ride With Me...the ride refers to 3 things in my mind...horses, motorcycles and a journey of life and love. Jake Delancey is the youngest of three brothers born to the wealthiest family in Tennessee. He is the black sheep of the family, the trouble-maker who wants to live free with no possessions, responsibilities (except the wide open road) and work a regular job as a bartender despite his family's wealth and position. When he comes "home" for the holidays, his father is ill and he is asked to stay and help run the horse stables while his brothers take over the family business. At the fancy Country Club that his family belongs to, he meets Elle, a beautiful Irish woman, in the US illegally, trying to make a living while dreaming of becoming a big star in the music industry. What starts off as fun and games and a lot of flirting, turns into much more for the sexy manwhore Jake and he realizes he has met his match in Elle. Their relationship builds over the course of some crazy whirlwind romance and just when he thinks she will be his, she runs away. This was a sweet and romantic first book of a new trilogy and yet it also had some steaming sexy scenes as well and the promise of a story for each of the other two Delancey brothers, Daniel and Jackson in the next two books. Perfect for readers who love biker, cowboy or any type of romance book with an edge. I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

It was nice to come back to this story after not reading for so long. I got this when Miss Blake first released this. I was enamoured then and now it is like a drug. She envelops the reader and encourages them to open themselves up to Men who you would look at wishing that there were men just like these men that she graces her stories with. At first I was not like this guy is it, no it took some warming up to Jake. But Elle I could really get into her as she was a bit like me. Yes I knoiw we try to make these characters people that we would like to be with or have or murder. Yes there are times that I wish I could Kill some of these characters but Jake warmed my heart in the way he just knows that Elle is for him. I really enjoyed this return to Miss Blakes universe and I like that she made Jake have to work for it. Very interesting and engaging. She knows what we are looking for and delivers with a wolop of a story!

Jake was the typical bad boy that comes from money & it was cute to see him meet his match. What made it so good... he had to work for it. (Those are THE best!) Elle was a fierce little Irish vixen who had a hint of a runner in her- GAH!, I know, but she didn't get far so don't fret! ;) Jake was so great with her & I loved when they came together for good.
The "pick a hand" scene at the very end was adorable. Heroes who are confident but who still feel the need to "cover their bases" can be downright charming & that's exactly what Jake Delancey was... charming x 10.
I know these are shorter stories (in the Delancey trilogy) but I REALLY wish they were longer. I definitely wouldn't mind getting MORE sex, MORE swoon & MORE angst. (Just a lil' bit). Greedy, yes, but whatever...
Jake could have every material item he wished for but ran away from it all until he is called back to the family home. Struggling being back the same old issues remain his inability to fit into the perfect world of the Delanceys. When a chance crossing with Elle leads him to have her fired he realises the struggles she faces just to stay alive and offers her a job to compensate for his error. These two are hugely attracted to each other but Elle is not going to be another notch and avoids his advances much to the entertainment of his brothers and her fellow colleagues. Jake has met his match in this fun and enjoyable latest book of the series. Excited to read more in the series, looking forward to Jackson & Daniel’s storylines.
