I really love the full length books of the Suncoast Society . The short novellas are just not the same--enjoyable, yes, but not in the same class as The Reluctant Dom and The Denim Dom, which were excellent.

In Crafty Bastards, love comes a little fast between the h-H-H, and the heroine's predicament seems a little formulaic on the heels of the previous book in which the heroine in crisis needed a place to live, and there just happened to be a Hero with a big house who had already admired her from afar and jumped at the chance to come to rescue. In this case, it is two Heroes.

Still, I enjoyed the story, especially the part about how Baxter the cat made The Crafty Bastards Toy website go viral. Crafty Bastards is a quick, light bdsm romance read.

The Romance Review

"Hooked on a feeling…high on believing…you're in love with me." This is what Ms. Dalton should sing about me. I am a devoted fan and her Suncoast Society Series works for me. I love them and I can't get enough of it.

In CRAFTY BASTARDS, I'm over the moon as Ms. Dalton features two kinky men who make BDSM furniture. The fact that these two men are also bisexual looking for a third in their triad only makes this story better. Max and Sean are first roommates and then lovers with a past. They went through hellfire together and survived an abusive dominant. Shy to add in another female to their partnership, they have been cruising along and just enjoying life without drama.

Why do I enjoy these BDSM stories so much? It's because of the humour, kink and characters. This series is as close as I can see to real life contemporary BDSM living. Sure, Ms. Dalton smooths out the rougher edges of kink, but she leaves in the real life messiness. In this story, it is about Cali Charleston's ex-lover who takes advantage of her skills and then leaves her destitute and homeless. I feel outrage at the situation because it is all too believable. These are common people with relatable issues.

The BDSM in this story between Max, Sean and Cali is fabulous. It's just right and maybe one step kinkier than a Gateway to BDSM book. Still, the BDSM is light to medium. As expected, these scenes are accurate to real life and whilst I wouldn't use them for BDSM 101 Guide on how to get kinky with my partner, it's still detailed enough to do without getting into too much trouble. The only caveat is when trying out rope bondage. There is a little bit more to rope bondage which lifestylers will know and newbies may end up with problems.

This story focuses on building trust and when trust is broken. For those looking to have a healthy D/s relationship, this is crucial for it to all work. The forward step and then two backwards step in this threesome relationship shows how easily trust can be violated. Yet it's not over. Trust can be earned back and the relationship can become even stronger. The reactions of the characters in here are understandable and at times, moving.

What really gets me in this story is the humour. To be clear, there are no animals abused in this story. There are no animals violated either. This little plot device of Cali's kitty used to sell the BDSM furniture is a stroke of genius. I love it! The scene when Cali's kitty is first discovered as a model made me chuckle out loud.

"This was new last week. Any other time I've bought one of these for him, it lasts six months or longer." [Cali]

The men exchanged a guilty glance. "Not our fault your cat has a nip problem," Max muttered.

"Like they say," Sean added. "Talk to your cat about the nip before some other cat does."

She [Cali] stormed over to them, brandishing the nip container at them. "You got my cat high and tied him up."

"Nooo," Max said, holding a finger up. "Technically we tied him, but we didn't tie him up." (p. 94)

"My cat is not kinky!" [Cali]

"Uh, we have pictures that say otherwise," Max said.

"People think it's hysterical," Sean said. "We could do YouTube videos of it." (pg. 95)

Do it! Where are the YouTube videos? Replace Grumpy Cat with Kinky Kitty!

This BDSM erotic romance is highly recommended to ménage lovers who have a quirky sense of humour.

This was a short quick read that I wished was longer. Cali Charleston's ex Shane took advantage of her she helped build his business and he left her homeless with no money. Cali is strong and independent and stubborn and masochistic and according to her not very submissive. Max Trendle and Sean Dennison have been together for over ten years started out first as roommates and then lovers. After Cali spend one night in her new apartment the build catches on fire leaving her homeless again. The guys really like her, but they have been hurt by a woman a Domme Lydia in the past. I love reading Tymber's books the sex scenes in this book were hot I also love reading about the people of the Suncoast Society the books can be read as stand alones. Max and Sean also make BDSM equipment and they want Cali to help them with their website. Max and Sean work to show Cali that they want her forever that a menage can work. I also like the fact that although Lydia tried to hurt them that it didn't work. I also like that Cali didn't want to take handouts from the guys that she wanted to pay her own way. This was a good book it was well written like all of Tymber's books with no errors in spelling or grammar. I am looking forward to reading more books in this series.

This one was quite a disappointment and I waver between 2 and 3 stars

the idea of the story as well as the characters were quite good but I was missing the emotions, the spark, the feelings

I am afraid Tymber Dalton is just not the right author for me. I can't connect with her way of writing

It was a great story and a wonderful addition to the Suncoast Society series. I am just sad that the books seem to get shorter and shorter.

Deeply charming, quick little read. After having read most of the Suncoast Society books up to this one, I'll be honest that I'm starting to forget who all of the characters are, but I still enjoy when they pop up here and there.

These potato chip books between the longer ones are very fun to read because everyone is Happily Ever After. Not as profound, perhaps, as the longer ones like The Reluctant Dom, but fun nonetheless.

What's not to love here, poor Cali in the beginning, so much better in the end of course.beloved little Baxter with a nip problem (so cute). I dont think there is any way that you couldn't love these guys, was nice to see Essie and her guys again as well.

On to the next, thanks Tymber.

More of a novella, and I didn't like the main female lead. The book had a lot of promise but was so rushed it felt very flat and just unbelievable. Dissapointed.

DNF @ 40% it was very Meh... Usually I like Tymber’s writing but this was very unoriginal and boring ... Nothing interesting was happening and the kink was just okay.

Cali Charleston's life is not going the way she planned. She got dumped and screwed over by her ex, had to stay with her cousin to save up enough money to move out on her own, then her new apartment burns right after she moves in! Her friend Elise helps her out, and then starts playing matchmaker. Max Trendle and Sean Dennison are part of the Suncoast crowd, and live near Elise. They offer to let Cali stay with them and they have ulterior motives. Cali thinks they are gay, but really they are bi and have been looking for their unicorn - they think they just may have found her in Cali! This story wasn't really long enough to get to know the guys very well, and some of the sex scenes were a bit over-the-top for my taste. But the story was interesting and the characters likable. My favorite part was when Baxter has his photo shoot! 3.5 stars.

**Read and Reviewed for WeLoveKinK.com*

Tymber has been one of my fav authors, her stories are so full of love, passion and life lessons. She has made me cry, laugh and squirm.

Crafty Bastards was hella hot, two males thats been friends for a while and shared hardship, a female just as sassy as she wants to be, on the outside. Her own heartache has left her gun shy and doubting herself. Cali has had more bad luck then the normal person, your heart will go out to her. I loved Baxter! just sayin.

The males compliment each other well, personalities highten each others. I really liked how well the males personalities were written. Tymber made them seem real and everyday.

of course you have to have a character you just want to beat down and it was hella cool how it was handled. some loving, some fun, and oh my my hot scenes that should have you shifting in your seat. Enjoy!

I'm an artist and crafter. I really enjoyed reading about these two guys and their creative ideas for sex toys. I belong to a group of artisans whose focus is not based on kink but we have a lot of kinky people making things. One artist is open about his kinky lifestyle with the group and the toys he is making. There are a large number in our organization of 200 that are kinksters. I think kinky people are naturally creative. I loved that the pets in the story became models for some of the items made by the Crafty Bastards. I wonder if Tymber Dalton is available for other marketing ideas. This was a really fun read.

This is one crafty little story! Again, I absolutely love the Suncoast Society series! Tymber creates such beautiful prose that you get lost in it as soon as you start it. It also makes me want to be a part of this society and have all these wonderful friends. Max and Sean are great together and a recent break-up for their friend, Cali, opens up an opportunity for them to bring her into their family. Cali spent a long time loving a man that didn't love her back. Can she get past her hurt and open herself to the boys? I can't wait for the next beautiful story in this series!

I love Tymber Dalton's books especially the Suncoast Society series. In fact, The Denim Dom is one of my favorite books, but lately her stories have become shorter and more formula. Lately in her stories the heroine has been screwed over somehow and is moved out of a bad situation into a house with her HEA just to get her back on her feet. This one was and just a little over the top and I didn't enjoy it as much. I hope she goes back to writing longer more involved plots because these people are usually fun to read about and her knowledge of the BDSM community is phenomenal.

I'm giving this one 4 stars instead of 5 for the sheer fact that I just didn't want it to end...well, I guess it's better to say that I would have liked to see it more developed, the growth into love in their relationship...could have been more fleshed out. But as always Tymber Dalton sucks you in and makes you love every minute of it!!

I enjoyed this book but found it a little hurried - another 50 pages to 'flesh' out the story a bit would have probably brought it up to a 4 star read for me.
As with all Ms Dalton's books, there is always an element of something I haven't read before and this one was no exception. Had a little trouble 'visualising' the scene towards the end but it was a HOT read nevertheless:)

I definitely prefer the longer length books in this series, but still enjoyed this installment. One of my favorite aspects of the Suncoast series is how there is so much story, as well as kinky sex. This book (for me) felt like there was less story than any of the previous books, but the sex was awesome and I loved the scene with Baxter and the catnip!

I love Baxter. He is by far my favorite pet in all the books I've read. When reading I would advise not taking a drink when he is on page. Another great addition to the Suncoast Society. While this triad did communicate they still made some mistakes that could have caused heartbreak. It shows how important telling the full story is.

What a great book. The connection the kink community had with each other for one always gives me a warm fuzzy. The bondage scene with Baxter? The funniest thing I've read in a while. Again like coming home to the Suncoast Society.

Tymber has done it again. Book 12 in the suncoast society series is Cali's story. You would think after so many books they're would be repetition but trust me this story is fresh with all the good stuff throughout. I'm not big on spoilers but I will say that Baxter stole the show, big time!!!

Tymber hits another one out the park with Crafty Bastards. Even with 12 books in the Sun Coast Society series, each book is fresh with a different storyline and kink. Pretty much showing the many diverse sides to kink.

You can never go wrong with a Tymber Dalton book.

Max and Sean were brought together in the best thing to come out of a bad situation. Cali is now facing her own bad but the guys like her and want to be there for her. They all have to learn how they fit together and to let go of old baggage to come together strong and united.

This book is definitely one of the hottest of the series. The humor is also really up there, making it an all around enjoyable read.

But to end it where it did is just sadistic. (Said with a wink!) Let's just say it ended in the bedroom and I wish it'd gone on a bit longer.
