The Residency Boys Book 7 • (MM)MMM • Romantic Suspense • BDSM • International Crime • D/s Chosen Family • Primal Predator/Prey • K-Pop MC • Interracial Romance • Trauma
“Damian has been my Pup for years. He will be my Pup as long as one of us still breathes. But for you, Jun, I believe, Damian is your Wolf.”
Jun’s skin tingled.
Richard gazed into him. “Wolves mate for life.”
“He still needs you,” Jun said hoarsely.
“There’s no reason he has to choose.”
“You’re offering to share. Don’t say you don’t own him.”
Richard smiled, his eyes bittersweet. “Only as much as he owns me.”
Jun has fought his way back to Damian, and Damian has waged his own war with the help of The Residency to bring him home. But escape is only the beginning. Jun and 5N, his idol group, are in breach of contract to avoid their criminal manager. The law is coming for them.
Inside the Residency, Jun and Damian must navigate the polyamorous relationships that make up Damian’s kinky family. Crash-landing inside this new world was never how Damian planned to introduce Jun to the other people who matter most to him. Trust takes time to build and the outside world is giving them none of not the media, not Jun’s fans, certainly not Jun’s manager, not even Damian’s sister.
The secrets go deep. Damian will need every part of the man he has become to answer the challenge, and Jun will have waken the resolve Bak sought to crush to become the voice of truth in a world of lies. But Richard and Émeric and Collin may be just the chosen family they need to survive.
If they fail, the consequences, not just to Jun, but the other idols, are too dire to contemplate.
Trigger warnings for loss of a parent, abusive parents, trafficking, financial abuse and extortion, false imprisonment, physical violence, BDSM not connected to the violence or trafficking, and doms ready to burn the world down to stop the ugliness. Their submissives will most certainly be helping. As will their friends.
This serial will eventually include references and situations related to the aftermath and survival of sexual abuse of minors by family members. It will not be on page. Please honor your mental health.
Ciara Darren is a contemporary romance author writing primarily MM+, but also MX, MF, and FF. Her stories are intense, slow burn serials with chosen family, high heat, power exchange, kink, and diverse representation.
The best place to start in her contemporary romances is Collin: Episodes 1-3, for a gentler introduction to polyamory and kink. Damian & Jun is a sequel serial that can be read on its own but is best after Collin: Episodes 13-15.
For darker work in the same line, look for Sanctum: Prior Claim, coming out Spring 2026, a second-chance romance about escaping the criminal underworld and surviving to thrive. This is a stand alone tie-in serial to The Residency Boys universe and contains spoilers for both the Collin and Damian & Jun serials.

Gripping, Heart Wrenching, Full of Angst yet Romantic!
It is so good to read a TRUE BDSM based book series. It is not the sole part of the book. The plot is definitely what makes this book so great, with plenty of emotional content. But when there's spice, there's a clear difference from just loving contact and being "in a scene." The way the author wrote this shows they know what they're talking about. It's a perfect blend of fiction with reality.
This is book 2 of 4!
Our MMCs are finally able to be together. Yet, they are faced with legal action against them, they are still hiding from the one who tried to endanger Jun. And Damien has battles in both protecting his man but also against his own past. Thank goodness they both have wonderful chosen family. This is MMM+ in a polygamous relationship. However, the focus is currently on the 2 MMCs. (There's a previous series to this for other men in their dynamic) Main dynamics are Dom/sub, Master/Sub, Sir/pup and Alpha wolf/wolfling. It's about true intimacy and power exchange, not dömînätiön.
Ciara's books are the perfect example of what I love reading. The polyamory aspect unfolds beautifully, following all the twists, curve balls and unexpected turns of the main plot line. They meld together seamlessly, creating a heart touching, mind stopping story. Getting Jun out of danger is just the first step, quickly followed by a domino effect of other events. For someone who has never had someone to rely on, being the.center of attention in loving, supportive family with complex internal dynamics is a novelty for Jun. Love is neither limitless nor restrictive or conditional. That's something Ciara Darren underlines in every single one of her books and Jun learns too not from pretty words, but from all the actions of his newfound family. Because being with Damian means he is part of something bigger, special, intricately built and lovingly nurtured. Jun really had a crash landing in Damian's polycule without even knowing what that truly means, but the author has done excellent work of easing his way in and making him a part of the existing dynamic.
This series just keeps delivering! The action picks up right where we left off—fast-paced, high-stakes, and seriously gripping. Damian rescues Jun from a horrible situation, and now they're hiding out in Chicago with Damian’s chosen family (who I absolutely love).
Even though the relationship between Damian and Jun is solid, it still feels like a slow burn emotionally—which actually makes sense, since they're still in survival mode and figuring things out. The BDSM/poly aspects are light so far, but it feels like it’s building toward something deeper.
We get more backstory on Jun’s past (heartbreaking), more clues about the people behind all the chaos, and more found family goodness from both Damian’s side and Jun’s bandmates. The cast of side characters continues to shine, and I’m so invested in all of them.
If you’ve been following the series, this installment won’t disappoint. Drama, danger, healing, and a slowly deepening connection—can’t wait to see what happens next.
This is a serialized story that follows Jun and lots of people around him. I love the flow of this story and the balance between the exciting background story and the intimate moments between Jun and Damian. I have read too many stories where the background story is not very strong or interesting, but this story just keeps getting better and better. The story keeps surprising me as well as the characters as more comes out about Jun’s past. The kink in Damian’s chosen family is treated as just part of their lives and I feel that Ciara Darren has done a great job of integrating this multi person dynamic into the story. I also appreciate that she has had Damian being so careful with Jun and introducing Jun to these things in a safe, sane and consensual way. I am very glad that the books are coming out so soon to each other and that Ms Darren is not making us wait too long to find out what happens.
Note: This spoiler-free review covers all 16 episodes of the Damian & Jun serial.
When I read the previous serial set in this world, I was pleasantly surprised by the multiple layers of story encompassed in the episodes. I enjoyed the characters enough to happily return for another peek into their world. Once again, Darren takes a handful of familiar romance tropes and elevates them with a solid external plot and satisfying character development. Even better, Damian and Jun are nothing like Colin, giving us brand-new relationships and dynamics to explore along the way. Though they had already begun a tentative relationship before this story takes place, the inciting conflict of this serial seamlessly intertwines with the romance aspects, giving each man the opportunity to support the other regardless of the power exchange nature of their bond. Darren doesn't shy away from the darker elements of what Damian and Jun face; while readers should mind the content warnings, details are used with care and for relevance rather than as an emotional shortcut. I adore this unique found family and the numerous secondary characters who are adopted into the fold, and I'm already looking forward to a return following hints of another relationship I want to see find their happily ever after as well.
Disclaimer: I received digital review copies of episodes 9-16 from the author.
💔 Jun & Damian’s journey continues… With danger and suspense lurking at every corner, Damian finds Jun and brings him home—to a place of safety, healing, and acceptance.
As Jun begins to recover from the trauma he's endured, he's surrounded by Damian’s chosen family. Because sometimes, the strongest families aren’t made by blood—but by love, loyalty, and shared battles.
✨ Who says family has to be blood?
Can’t wait to see what’s next for these two. Still holding my breath for more…
The story goes on as gripping and action-heavy as the last one ended. It is very well written and has kept me on the edge of my seat to find out how it continues. I'm excited to find out how that legal nightmare plays out. The relationship between the two MCs still feels kind of slow burn although they are already committed to each other. For a book that is described as 'MMM+ BDSM romance' there is not a lot of sharing or kink (yet) as everyone is still busy with surviving and sorting everything out. I really like the set of secondary characters and the found family they form.
There's a lot of fast-paced action, danger and drama. Jun was in the clutches of evil people and was hurt as a result. Thankfully Damien was able to rescue him and they've fled to Chicago. Here they're surrounded by Damien's chosen family, those that know him best and love him. Jun needs to recuperate and is also learning how to navigate all these new people and how they're involved with Damien and how he will eventually be brought into the fold. Their relationship is still a slow burn but they're absolutely committed to each other.
In the continuation of the great “Residency Boys” series we find out more about Jun’s childhood and get closer to finding out who is pulling all the strings. We watch Damian and Jun become closer and find out more about themselves and what type of relationship they want to build together. Of course all of our favorite characters play a big part and I really like how we are finding out more about the men that Jun calls bandmates and friends. I highly recommend this book. Enjoy!
So far I'm loving this serial. I am so invested in these characters and I'm loving how the author is incorporating Damian's family from the Residency into his growing relationship with Jun. This one seems to be more plot-heavy and less kink-based than Collin, but that's not a bad thing. I'm on the edge of my seat, stressed with these characters as they deal with everything. Can't wait for the whole thing!
I received a free copy of this ebook from Gay Romance Reviews and this is my honest opinion. Phew! This series is a Rollercoaster! The sweet and steamy moments balancing with the high emotions and all the plot twists. Damian and Jun have my heart, but even the side characters have so much depth and never feel two dimensional! Its easy to see how much work was put into this series. I also love the evolving thoughts and relationships as the story progresses. Im excited to start the next part!
Thank goodness Damian has the rest of those in the Residence to help when he brings the rescued Jun there for safety. Although it isn't the optimum way to introduce Jun to the others and their life, too many forces are conspiring against them to try it on their own. I enjoyed this book even more than the first one as there is a wonderful found family among Damian and the others and seeing them rally to help Jun and welcome him is wonderful. Cannot wait to read what happens next.
It just keeps getting better and better! Truly there is so much connection between all of the characters and I am living for it. I love this so much. Their dynamics are beyond beautiful. I definitely can’t wait for the rest of the series because it is absolutely amazing.
Damian & Jun have so much love and trust between them and I love it. They are beautiful to watch. I can’t wait to see more of them.
Things are ramping up, luckily Jun now has Damian, as well as The Residency AND his cast mates to help protect and uplift him. He gains allies in the most interesting of places, and I'm on the edge of my seat with each crumb we receive about his past. Hoping Jun (and us readers) get some sort of closure into how he ended up in Korea, and not with his mom as things are still so vague
Such a brilliant series. Though I didn't read the first couple as not only KU I have been avidly following Damian & Jun's journey. So much heat, passion and lets not forget the kink! Brilliant characters keeping me completely engaged throughout!
I received a free arc copy and this is my honest review
This book wrecked me.. in the best way. Jun and Damian’s story is raw, tender, and full of heart. The love, the trauma, the chosen family… it all hit so deeply. Heavy topics, but handled with care. Emotional, bold, and beautifully queer.
