I never expected to be running for my life, and I certainly never thought the man hunting me would be Knox Blackwood—the same man I’ve spent three months despising.
The Hollow's Hunt—a twisted game where women are thrust into a labyrinth as prey for Ravenwood Hollow's ruthless elite. When I was commissioned by Xavier Blackwood to create provocative artwork for Purgatory, I had no idea it was all part of a devious plan concocted by his younger brother.
"Did you really think my brother suddenly developed an appreciation for art?" Knox murmured, blue eyes gleaming. "I chose you the moment I saw your work. Tonight, I finally claim my prize."
As I navigate treacherous corridors filled with tension and danger, Knox's relentless pursuit transforms our animosity into something far more electrifying. Every heated glare and charged argument we’ve shared fuels the fire of my resistance—and my attraction.
The most terrifying realization? Beneath his arrogant facade lies a man eager to claim what he believes is his. And with each step I take, I find myself questioning everything I thought I knew about desire, surrender, and the darkness that binds us.
The Hunt has begun. And Knox Blackwood is ready to make me his—whether I am willing or not.
Doomed is the second book in the Blackwood Brothers Series and delves into the intense connection between two rivals caught in a dangerous game. This dark romance contains themes that may be triggering for some readers. This story has no cliffhanger and ends with a HEA.
one thing that i loved about this is that Bianca held her own, she didnt just give in straight away. though you could feel the chemistry sizzling between the characters as you read and knew that things would get steamy. the hunt was definitely my favourite part
Welcome to Doomed, where love is a game, danger is a kink, and red flags are foreplay. If you’ve ever fantasized about being hunted through a mansion maze while a sexy sociopath whispers sinful promises in your ear… girl, grab your helmet because Knox Blackwood is revving the engine of your doom.
Selena Winters gifts us with an antihero who makes “possessive” look like a hobby and turns “I’m not touching you” into a full-on psychological chess match. Bianca, our painter of passion, walks into this mess thinking she’s just selling art. Instead, she ends up starring in Fifty Shades of Predatory Behavior, but make it fine art.
Their chemistry? It’s fire and gasoline. He calls her “princess” with that smug alpha smirk, and she slaps him so hard he sees stars—and he likes it. This book is Hunger Games meets Hades & Persephone, but everyone’s wearing black and someone probably has a knife in their boot.
It’s spicy. It’s messy. It’s morally gray as hell. And baby, it’s delicious.
První půlka byla super. Hlavní hrdinka vypadala, že má víc rozumu než dámy v prvním díle. Druhá půlka byla ale celkem zklamání a přišlo mi, že se scény a rozhovory opakují. Stále ale dobrá dark jednohubka.
4.5 🌟 Knox 🫦 and Bianca had such a banter and test of wills that had me chuckling. Whew 🥵 the smexy times. 💦🍆
Dedication To the women who crave the thrill of being hunted and claimed, but know the real fantasy is a man who’ll do anything—give you anything—just to see you come undone. This one’s for you…
Favorite lines and quotes
“You know what happens every time you say no to me?” I whisper, my voice low enough that only she can hear. “I want you more. It’s like throwing gasoline on a fire.” Her breath catches, and I smile against her skin. “And Bianca? I always get what I want. Always.”
I try to hate the way his touch makes me feel—I want to hate it—but the adrenaline flooding my system blurs the line between anger and arousal until I can’t tell where one ends and the other begins.
I press my forehead against her masked forehead, suddenly overwhelmed by the realization that I’m not the predator here. Not really. We’ve been claiming each other from the start, and somehow, she’s managed to capture parts of me I didn’t even know were up for grabs.
“Run all you want, princess. I’ll always find you.”
Beautiful. Wrecked. Mine.
“Forever, Bianca. You’re mine forever. I will not let you go.”
“I’ve never said it before,” he continues, voice rough with emotion. “I didn’t think I was capable of it until you. But Bianca, I love you. I fucking love you so much it terrifies me.” Time stops. The world narrows to just his eyes—those beautiful eyes now stripped of all their usual defenses. “I love you too,” I whisper, the words flowing easily. They’ve lived inside me for weeks, waiting for this moment. “So much, Knox.”
“I never believed in forever until I met you,” he says, his voice steady despite the nervousness I can feel radiating from him. “Marry me, Bianca. Be mine in every way.”
“Yes,” I manage through my tears, my voice breaking with emotion. “Of course it’s a yes, Knox. God, yes.”
“Tell me what you want, Bianca.” “You. Always you.”
“I love you beyond reason, Knox Blackwood.” “And I love you, Bianca Hayes. Soon-to-be Blackwood.” His eyes, so often filled with mischief or danger, now shine with nothing but absolute devotion. “You’ve saved me in ways you’ll never understand.”

I’m not here to question the fact that this had me nodding my head along with Bianca being like “there’s no way we aren’t signing up for the Hollow’s Hunt” 😂 dark romance girlies? I see you and I support you…because same.

One day Bianca is being commissioned to make provocative art for Purgatory by Xavier Blackwood, and the next? Turns out that commission was a plan set in place by Xaveir’s younger brother, Knox…the bane of her existence since he walked into her gallery three months ago. And now? Bianca’s running through a labyrinth while being hunted by the man who’s been under her skin, and Knox is determined to make her his—whether she’s ready or not.
So, the dynamic between Knox and Bianca? Sign. Me. Up. A fiery FMC who can hold her own and has met her match in the alpha male who wants to claim that fire for himself? And he’s so sure that he orchestrates her providing art for his club and then constructs rooms in the Hunt specifically for her?! Whew! Is it hot in here or is it just me? Then we throw in a heavy dose of delicious br33d!ng k!nk (no pregnancy), sharing for Bianca’s pleasure with the stipulation that only Knox c*ms inside her and makes her c*m, AND they both have filthy mouths?! Hollow’s Hunt matchmaking at its finest and I was here for it 🙌🏽 I lived for the push-pull and tension prior to the Hunt — the build-up of all that animosity led to explosive chemistry, and that spark transformed into something real and lasting. Now, I’m just over here wondering where my own Blackwood brother is 😂
He is the cocky youngest brother who hasn't taken things too seriously. His family has built an empire, feeding off of darkness and desire. When he meets her for the first time she slaps him and he is intrigued. He is used to women falling all over him, and this one is a challenge. She is an artist and has been commissioned to provide new art for his family's club but that doesn't mean that she has to put up with his ridiculous behavior. He makes it clear he is in it to win it and she is the prize. When she get's invited the secret hunt, she thinks they will finally let that chemistry combust. She has no idea what really happens at the hunt and it will challenge her mentally and physically. He isn't playing anymore he has decided to claim her. This is a complicated story for me. I have read several of the author's books and I enjoy them. This is a bit different. The main characters are both great, they are well written and engaging, it is easy to get invested in their relationship. I am all for some primal k!nk and that chasing on the hunt. I even loved the rooms they found themselves in, though I felt for the build up, the chase was really quick. I expected a little more tension there with the hunters out numbering the prey, but it almost seemed like they were completely on their own. There were other aspects of the hunt that I was not a fan of. He is obsessed with her and wants to claim her, and I didn't mind the voyeurism aspect but the sharing was not for me. I have read the carnival series and it was nice to see the characters from that series turn up and get a little update on them. The author writes dark really well. And dark with a happily ever after....yum.

Knox and Bianca's story was such a good read! This book covers the same Hunt as the first but from Knox and Bianca's perspective. It's not a repeat, per se, outside of the rules and the parts they have to go through (like the Claiming etc). This book is filled with spice, humor, drama, and suspense. The same characters are here too but acting on Knox and Bianca's story, not theirs.
Knox is the youngest of the brothers. We get more of his/the brother's backstory too. He's a goofball, a playboy and a hothead. He is put in charge of finding artwork for Purgatory by Xavier. He goes to Elliot's gallery and meets Bianca. He is immediately intrigued with her and makes his comments which gets him a hard slap in the face by Bianca. Bam! That's who he wants in The Hunt!
Bianca is a tad older than Knox (not even 2 years, which is nothing). An artist making her way in the world after leaving her Dad and his mess. She paints what will go perfectly in Purgatory. She can not stand Knox at all. He won't leave her alone and she doesn't know how to get rid of him. She gets the invite to the hunt and figures maybe that's how--she won't let him catch her--eventually show wonders if he is who she wants after all.
Their "game" is different than Xavier and Mira's. Not as intense, more "sweet" I'd say since they developed a better "relationship" before the Hunt. In this book I think their relationship develops more altogether. I loved them both and loved what their "game" turned out to be.
The ending had more closure and hints on the other books to come. Loved that there was more closure to their story than the first one.
This is the second book in a series - while they're interconnected and mostly standalone, it's much more fun if you read the first book before this one.
I thoroughly enjoyed this maze/hunt dark romance. The story centers on the MMC, Knox, who is one of the Blackwood brothers - a group of notorious men involved in the underground cartel-type scene. The brothers hold a hunt every year - dark, secretive, and very seductive. Our FMC, Bianca, is an artist who gets pulled into Knox's orbit because the brothers are interested in buying her art for their home base - but unlike most women, she's totally unimpressed by Knox's BS and pushes him away at first. This immunity to his wealth and power is alluring to Knox, and the chemistry is born from there.
I love this couple - Bianca is strong and not willing to just fall at Knox's feet, and he is so changed by her that he finds himself thinking about something beyond his playboy ways. The way they change each other is so emotionally charged, and I love seeing them come together.
My only detraction in the review is that I felt like for someone who read book 1, the beginning of the story where they're preparing for the hunt is a bit repetitive. I know it can be a standalone, but I was able to skip past that part of the book by skimming, which made me sad because I loved the description of the hunt in the first book.
I have to say this was an amazing second part to a series you get a Playboy who is closed off and makes everything light-hearted and a joke but he's so unhinged and what he wants to take is control but yet she ends up taking his control it's like who is the prey and Hunter in this whole series because apparently our artist is the cat with the curiosity and you often wonder is she playing the hunter role because he is smitten with her from the very beginning and she pushes away and pushes away and yet somehow this man gets her to accept the invite to the secret party and the passion ignites there's so much tension and this enemies to lovers just gets more and more of a profound overwhelming poetry between the two of them and you get to see more of the side characters you get to see more into what their life is and why they're the way that they are is the Blackwood brothers and it is so much of a manipulation trope and a psychological trope that you are diving into everything they're saying and you're devouring it because you get clues hidden in foreshadows there and you just want more.
Author Selena Winters brings the volcanic heat with Doomed 🥵 I thought Xavier and Mira’s story, Haunted book 1, was scrumptiously dirty—obviously Knox and Bianca said, “Hold our beers.”
Loved getting to know Knox and Bianca. They are both well fleshed of course, but Ms Winters adds a layer of vulnerability that makes even an obnoxiously conceited admitted womanizer like Knox likable. We get a closer look at Elliott and see some old friends from the Carnival series, too!
Love all Selena Winters’ books 🖤

Knox is the kind of man who thinks rejection is foreplay- and Bianca? She’s the walking embodiment of “try again, loser.” For three months, she shuts him down with the precision of a woman who knows her worth, and Knox, the certified playboy/f-boy, takes it as a personal challenge. What follows is a delicious descent into obsession, grovel, and emotional devastation. He falls first. He falls hard. And we fall right along with him.
Selena Winters doesn’t just write smut- she crafts chaos with a plot twist. Doomed is a masterclass in tension, banter, and the kind of possessive MMC energy that makes you want to annotate your own downfall. Bianca’s resistance is iconic, Knox’s spiral is cinematic, and the emotional payoff? Trophy-worthy.
If you like your books smutty with a side of ploy, Winters delivers every time. She’s on my auto-buy list for a reason- and Doomed just claimed another spot on my shelf of emotionally unstable favorites.

Ok who doesn’t love a man obsessed!?!? Doesn’t get any better, false make him morally black! Knox is a panty dropper and he knows it. Women throw themselves at him. He is charming and a jokester but under all that he’s ruthless. Enter Bianca, a beautiful and spicy artist that is commissioned to make pieces for Knox’s club. The first time they meet, she slaps him for touching her without her consent **screaming***. They play tit for tat for months until she’s invited to the hunt. Of course we know the drill, however, Knox throws out the way he normally would participate in the Hunt and shows Bianca a side of him that no one gets to see. Of course it doesn’t end there, and Bianca sees the side that no one wants to see. I loved that Bianca sees the beauty of Knox’s duality. She comes to appreciate and see both sides of him. And of course we love a man that isn’t intimidated by his woman’s success or her sexual appetite.

Doomed is the second book in Blackwood Brothers series. Absolutely loved the first one - Haunted (Xavier and Mira's story). But I'm just as obsessed with Knox and Bianca's story!!!! I equally was fascinated to read another perspective of the events and happenings during the Hollow's Hunt.
Knox seems like such an entitled playboy at first, expecting every woman he meets to fall for him because of who he is. Bianca doesn't fall for it and resists him at every turn.
Selena Winters writes unhinged MMCs with equally strong FMCs who find each other and discover what they both need and were looking for all along soooo damn well!!! And the spice is off the charts
I am so glad Cursed and Stalked are also releasing in the next two months. I cannot get enough of this series. AND THEN - The Hollow's Hunt series comes out at first of year 2026!!

Doomed is the second book in the Blackwood Brothers Series
This series is scorching HOT. This is book 2 in the series and it is just as addictive as the first. Selena Winters has created a deliciously dark world that is full of thrilling suspense and excitement. I couldn't get enough. The number of times I gasped and almost fell off the edge of my seat might be embarrassing...
These characters are morally grey, sexy, and delicious and I'm obsessed.
Knox Blackwood is the unhinged psycho anti-hero of our depraved dreams. He and Bianca's relationship is intense and the spice level is extra HOT.
You'll love this series if you're into: Enemies-to-lovers Masked Touch her and ☠️ Biker Hunt Primal Dual POV

Though the characters are interconnected through the series this book can be read as a standalone and has an HEA. I definitely recommend reading in order.
Selena Winters took me on a wild ride and I can't wait for the next one!
“In a game of shadows and seduction, survival has a price—and love may cost everything.
A dark and intoxicating read, Doomed plunges you into a world of forbidden intrigue, dangerous attraction, and the kind of slow-burn obsession that stretches boundaries both emotional and physical. Selena Winters doesn’t just tell a story—she crafts a twisted hunt where every page brims with tension, temptation, and the gnawing uncertainty of who can truly be trusted.
The FMC is torn between desire and survival, while the MMC embodies that perfect storm of allure and menace—magnetic enough to draw her in, yet sharp-edged enough to keep her questioning. Their chemistry is raw and consuming, the kind that doesn’t just ignite sparks but threatens to burn everything down.
If you’re drawn to stories where passion walks hand in hand with danger, and love feels like the most perilous gamble of all, Doomed delivers in spades.

This was… not what I expected. It was billed as dark, but the MMC was not a dark character, and his violence was very much glossed over. All the reader gets to see is how loved up he is. The FMC goes from being sure to her very soul that she isn’t interested in knowing him, to insisting on accepting an invitation to The Hunt, knowing that he’ll capture her and claim her there. From that turnaround, she proceeds to have a complete personality change: from feisty to bland and submissive. It all got a bit yawn-worthy by 2/3 through. I love a good bit of smut but this book went from story to smut and then it was ALL smut from that point on. Essential storylines got abandoned and were never concluded, which was irritating. The smut was smutty, but it wasn’t enough to carry the entire book.
I discovered at the very end of the book that it was a different yet connected series to the Carnival series, which I DNFd. I’m kind of glad I didn’t finish that one now.
From the perspectives of Bianca and Knox is fantastic! I swear Selena’s books just get better and better! Knox is the unserious brother that does whatever he wants, I mean don’t they all!
“Knox, last week you asked me if the Louvre was a type of cheese.” “In my defense, it sounds French and fancy. Could go either way.”
Bianca is an artist chosen to create art for the club when she meets Knox where her life will never be the same!
“Please, Knox. I’m an unfinished masterpiece. Complete me.”
We are back for more darkness and debauchery, but we get to know Knox on a deeper level in this book. How he portrays himself to others especially with his brothers as well as more of their hilarious brotherly banter! 10/10 highly recommend! I cannot wait for Landon’s book! 🔥🙌🏼👏🏼
🌶5/5. The MMC stayed very consistent with his personality from the first book which I appreciated. This book is HEAVY on spicy times! My only tiny annoyance with the book was small inconsistencies that would appear. They don't make much difference to the overall story, but still bothered me. For example the character outfits in a scene would not be consistent and character proffessions would change without mention. I love consistency because it keeps me believing the story and understanding scenes in my mind better. If tiny things like that didn't bother me it would probably be a solid 5. Was a 4.6 for me as is.

Selena Winters outdoes herself with each book! Knox and Bianca have a volatile thing that mesmerizes him and irritates her, but his unrelenting pursuit intrigues and tests her resolve. She’s an artist with passion and he’s a brutal man with so many sides and hidden depths. Together, they consume each other and discover they are meant for each other. The Hunt opens Bianca’s eyes, blows her mind, and melts her heart! Knox is tender and protective, which is such a departure from his norm! I love their banter, their dirty talk, the sensual and insatiable energy, and mostly their acceptance and trust in each other! I could read this book over and over again!!!.

Bianca refusing to fold instantly was the best part for me. Knox is a cocky menace, and the fact that she literally slapped him the first time they met set the whole tone. The Hunt itself was wild, but I honestly wanted it stretched longer because the buildup had me expecting more tension. Still, the chemistry between these two is like striking a match near gasoline. The writing keeps the energy sharp without drowning in fluff, and I liked seeing how their power struggle twisted into something more complicated. A couple of side details felt repetitive if you already read book one, but it didn’t ruin the vibe. By the end, I was half rooting for Bianca to run and half rooting for her to cave.
Not nearly as fun as the first book in the series. I didn't like how one moment she seemed so uninterested in him that it bordered on disgusted, but after one telephone conversation she's suddenly shaking in the knees for him. Also the part where he is thrusting into her while she is "seductively" gasping out some weird romantic poetry... made me cringe. And even after that intense emotional (at least I think that's what it was going for) session, he still chooses to share her with multiple men at once while calling her his f*'n wh*re repeatedly? It just didn't feel right for their characters & it wasn't consistent with how he had felt jealous just a few chapters earlier imagining her with other men. Oh, and all the grammatical errors drove me nuts.

“Doomed” is dark romance dialed up: rivals thrown into a deadly hunt, high stakes, and chemistry so intense it bites. Bianca’s art commission for “Purgatory” was supposed to be just work—but Knox Blackwood turns up, and nothing stays simple. She hates him. He’s insufferable. But as they navigate the twisted corridors of The Hollow’s Hunt, fire builds beneath all the rage—and passion starts doing the talking. With suspense, grit, and scenes that burn, Doomed surrenders enemies-to-lovers to its sharp, dangerous pull. If you want a romance with danger, obsession, and tension that never lets up, this one delivers.

Doomed, the second book in the Blackwood Brothers series, plunges readers into Knox and Bianca’s intoxicating take on the Hunt. Compared to Xavier and Mira’s intense dynamic in book one, Knox and Bianca’s relationship is more developed before the Hunt begins. Their explosive first meeting ignites their chemistry right off the page with a fiery blend of sizzling banter, simmering tension, and a relationship that peels back layers neither of them saw coming. Winters has scattered tantalizing clues, teasing what might lie ahead and I’m beyond excited to plunge deeper into the Blackwood universe.

My overall thoughts of the book are holy smut ooly!!!! My oh my. I feel in love with Bianca and Knox. Their chemistry is off the charts. The cat and mouse game they play is hot!!! Knox is wild and I’m here for every bit of it, his predatory ways are dark and charming. Biance is strong and witty. She is also a wild little kitten too. This was a very wild and hot ride. I could not put this down. I love the first one and I love this one too. The plot was good and the spice is Carolina Reaper hot!!!I can’t wait for the next books.

Knox is a playboy, plain and simple. He never bothers with relationships; why would he when women flocke to him even knowing who he is. See, Knox and his brothers are criminals. A chance meeting with Bianca at the art gallery she works at creates a desire in him he hasn't felt, well, ever. Bianca wants nothing to do with Knox and his arrogance. I love stories where the FMC is strong and knows what she wants, until something (or someone), challenges everything she knows. A relentless MMC, an independent FMC with a fire that can't be tamed, and a passion like no other.
This book grabbed my attention from the very first page and never let go. Knox and Bianca’s story was so flipping HOT—the chemistry between them was undeniable, and the dirty talk? Absolutely over the top in the best possible way.
I loved the push-and-pull tension at the start and how it evolved into complete devotion by the end. Selena Winters has created such an addictive series with the Blackwood Brothers, and I am officially hooked. I cannot wait for Landon and Sadie’s story next!.

Bianca never knew getting commissioned to do some art work for the club purgatory she would be invited/forced into participating in the hollows hunt within her own painted walls by Knox, who became obsessed with her, through her refusal to give in. Knox had never met someone who captivated his mind like Bianca he wants to hunt her, claim her, and through the hunt he will get her to beg for him, like he wants to beg her. Well written the story draws you in with steamy desires, obsession, captive, chasing, masked men, dark themes and more!
This book is absolutely a journey you will want to take. It is the second in the series and wow. The Author doesn't disappoint.
The chemistry between the two main characters was so delicious. The tension was off the charts and the primal play whew... you need to read this book. I kid you not.

The second book in the Blackwood Brothers, Doomed, follows Knox and Bianca in Ravenhood Hollow and where we come back to Purgatory and the Hollows Hunt. I thought it couldn’t get better than Haunted, but that’s exactly what happened. I still love Xavier and Mira, but, Knox and Bianca are just as entertaining. Hot holy water, I gotta catch my breath!! Absolutely perfect, Selena Winters, bravo 👏🏼 . You think she was dark with the Carnival 🎡 series, well buckle up baddies, it’s absolutely unhinged.
