Amber Eve is a former journalist who was born and raised in Scotland, and has been writing stories for her entire life. Her Heather Bay series is set in the Scottish Highlands, and follows the lives and loves of the inhabitants of this fictional coastal town.
Enemies to lovers, fake engagement, and stolen songs - need I say more?!
This was a brilliant beachy read set on a Greek island where the main character, Lana, is selling her family's holiday home but is haunted by "her song" and the popstar, Leo Wilde, who stole it and made it famous. When she bumps into him (quite literally!) on the beach and he doesn't recognise her but instead waves her away calling her a "Wilde Girl", she is absolutely infuriated. Things only get worse when a series of crazy events leads to their fake engagement. But isn't that how all true love stories start?
I loved that the Greek family characters were inspired by the author’s own relatives – you can tell the little phrases and anecdotes have come straight from real-life experience. They’re warm, chaotic, hilarious, and completely lovable.
As with all Amber Eve’s books, this one was hilarious in that very specific, real-life way – the kind of humour where the situation is just on the verge of ridiculous, yet still totally believable. The kind of “surely this only ever happens to me” moment that somehow does happen – and will have you laughing out loud in recognition. It's the ultimate “this would only ever happen to me” romantic comedy.
For example, waking up to find a priest standing over your bed splashing you with holy water, or receiving not one, not two, but FOUR goats as engagement presents...and then naming them after the Beatles and uttering what the characters describe as "a new contender for the "Weirdest Sentence Ever Spoken Aloud" - "We could end up eating The Beatles, Leo."
This is a clean romance, so while there's no real spice, the chemistry between the characters is excellent. It was a true enemies to lovers story as I truly wondered how these two would ever end up together by the end of the book, but I was absolutely rooting for them by the time it got there!
If you’ve ever sworn revenge on a man and somehow ended up fake-engaged to him, this one’s for you. Or if you just wished you could read about it happening to someone else, I guess!
A wonderful rockstar rom-com of a listen. Well written and beautifully narrated, this book delighted. Pretty clean in comparison to my normal romances but the characters and storyline captivated me from the beginning. Main characters are rockstar Leo Wilde and piano teacher Lana Lawson. These two crossed paths so to speak one summer on an island 13 years ago and since then, Lana has actively hated Leo for ruining her life...only, it may not actually be Leo after all. I adore Lana's quirkiness and Leo's nicknames. The banter was delightfully funny as well as some of the locals that have befriended Lana and Leo. A smooth flowing storyline that will leave you heart warmed and ready for a rocking vaca adventure!

Great book! I love how unpredictable it was! This is a fun romcom set in Greece. That alone starts off the romance.
I’m not usually a fan of rockstar romances. They’re usually predictable and full of artsy angst. To my relief this story refrains from that but there is an intriguing twist.
If there was anything I could wish for in this book is to have a dual POV narrative. It would definitely add more depth to Leo’s character and his relationship with Lana.
Amber Eve is a wonderful storyteller. I look forward to reading more of her books. I highly recommend Bikini. It’s the perfect summer or anytime read.
This is a sweet and unique romance story. It is a cute fake dating/engagement story between two people who are pretty different from each other. The characters and story is well written and the audiobook is well narrated.
Leo is a Rockstar with a hit song. Lana is a girl who thinks that part of the song was stolen from her. Her friends and family think that the song is bout her.
After meeting again years later the world thinks they are engaged and they go along with it.
A feelgood, funny rockstar romance with forced proximity, stolen songs, and a fake engagement that’s about to get very real.
Each book by Amber Eve is celebration for me. It all started with Cool Girl Summer, the book I was unable to put down while not finished. I just liked the writing style so much, it was so right for me. So, books by Amber Eve go on priority list. And Amber Eve goes for Summer Books' Queens title. And Bikini is perfect summer read to enjoy. Stolen songs, fake-engaged to enemy an more. It is so funny and entertaining.

Oh my gosh, this story not only kept me laughing but also caused a number of emotions as well. The characters were rich and complex while also being witty and charming. I couldn’t wait to get to the next chapter to see how Leo and Lana would get to their HEA with the help of a wonderful “adopted” family and a few goats too. LOVED this story.

Amber Eve has another brilliant story in Bikini. Where everything that could go wrong for Leo and Lana ends up going terribly right. With cringes and laughs along the way. The side characters (especially Costa) bring so much colour to the story, and Laura Greaves does a brilliant job with the Narration...
A truly fun read that I didn't want to pause...

I loved this fun, summer read with Leo and Lana. They have quite the history and their story is interesting. The fake relationship turned real very fast and it was quite interesting. I enjoyed this story a lot.

Amber Eve is a new author for me, I was attracted to this book by the storyline - being a bit of a sucker for a rock romances! The author conjures up the atmosphere of a Greek island with all the sights & sounds of the summer. It’s a fun read, written with humour & a light touch. I loved it & will read more by this writer. Recommended as a good summer read.
This is a fun book to read. I like the chemistry between the main characters and the happy ending. Lana hates Leo because he stole her song, now he is back in her life. Sparks fly but can she forgive him.

Average rom-com. OK in its own way, but I felt the two main characters were just totally childish throughout most of the book; in addition, the 'eccentric' Greek locals became over the top and just a bit silly after a while contributing very little to the plot. An OK read.
As with all Amber Eve's books, this one was hilarious in that very specific, real-life way - the kind of humour where the situation is just on the verge of ridiculous, yet still totally believable. This was a brilliant beachy read set on a Greek island where the main character, Lana, is selling her family's holiday home, lots of adventures good and bad happen along the way.
Greece has always had a place in my heart and I felt I was right there when reading it. Loved all the Greek characters and antics, inspired by the authors own family.
Really enjoyable ready by a local author, had loved all her books
