Sarah McKenzie doesn't trust easily, especially when it comes to her horses.
Running Ridgewater Equestrian Centre means constant vigilance protecting her sisters’ dreams and generations of champion bloodlines. So when replacement vet Dr. Marcus Webb questions her methods, Sarah's defences go up. This divorced city vet with his over-cautious approach and university background clearly doesn't understand rural realities.
But when their foundation stallion faces life-threatening surgery, Sarah discovers that Marcus's steady hands and unwavering support might be exactly what she needs. As professional respect transforms into something deeper, she must learn to trust not just his surgical skills, but his commitment to the world she's built.
When the government threatens to destroy Ridgewater with a bypass route, Sarah and Marcus must fight together for the future they're building. But first, Sarah has to learn that the strongest partnerships require the courage to trust completely.
Sometimes the greatest risks lead to the greatest rewards.
A heartfelt, hopeful small-town romance! Lynch balances the emotional weight of Sarah’s past with the sheer joy of watching her rebuild a future around the horses and people she loves, and every character feels real and hard-won. The Australian rural setting, the equestrian detail, and the slow, steady growth of trust between the leads made this a satisfying read.
This book is about Sarah and Marcus. Each of them has their own trauma and dashed dreams. Their first meeting isn’t the best. They become closer and closer as they work together and find that even though their experiences were different, they can understand each other quite well. Sarah’s character has to learn to trust herself and let others help and Marcus has to find where he feels he belongs and prove to himself that he has earned what he has.
I think this story was very nicely written. These characters feel as if hey could be real dealing with this in the real world. I liked how their chemistry developed overtime. I liked the subtle way that it showed Marcus paid attention to Sarah by the things he did without her having to ask. There was something very sweet about it.
I think this book is for anyone who like romance books involving horses and/or proximity. This is a nice story.

Trust the Process is the story of Sarah and Marcus. The chemistry between these two characters is undeniably irresistible to the point where neither one of them could no longer ignore the feelings developing between them. I loved getting to know both Marcus and Sarah as well as witnessing their story unfold through the pages of this book. Trust The Process is amazingly written, well balanced and beautifully executed by Caitlyn Lynch. She continues to showcase what an amazing author she is with each book I’ve read by her thus far. In my opinion, she creates and writes phenomenal stories that I absolutely love reading. I can hardly wait to see what her next book will be about. The characters are entertaining, interesting and intriguing all at the same time. I would HIGHLY recommend this book for anyone to checkout and give it a read.

Sarah and Marcus both had to pivot when their life abruptly changed, she after a career ending accident that still affects her vision and him after his divorce and resulting job loss. He was so particular about how veterinary care should be done after all his work in clinical settings that he had to learn to accept adaptations for field and barn work. At first Sarah questions Marcus's abilities but he quickly shows his advanced skills especially under challenging circumstances and they grow closer romantically. The proposed road through their farm seems suspicious especially when it would be better through the unused part of the golf property. I'm looking forward to the rest of her sisters romances.
This is the 1st book int The McKenzie Legacy Series by Caitlyn Lynch. and this is Sarah McKenzie (Running Ridgewater Equestrian Centre owner) and Dr. Marcus Webb (divorced city vet) story.
