Bloom County, the Pulitzer Prize-winning comic strip by Berkeley Breathed, is being collected for the very first time in its entirety. IDW Publishing will be releasing the first of five hardcover volumes in early October. The Bloom County Library Sampler offers a free look at two weeks worth of this classic newspaper strip.
Guy Berkeley "Berke" Breathed is an American cartoonist, children's book author/illustrator, director, and screenwriter, best known for Bloom County, a 1980s cartoon-comic strip which dealt with socio-political issues as seen through the eyes of highly exaggerated characters (e.g. Bill the Cat and Opus the Penguin) and humorous analogies.
Ordered this sampler to see how the strips would look on my Kindle. Instead of Bloom County, I got something called "Infestation", which I have NO interest in. If this had been a paid sampler, I would be demanding my money back.
