"3.5 out of 5 stars! Sarah is deeply depressed. She blames herself for her husband dying in the barn fire, her cruel father and the community is now pressuring her to sell her farm that would put her back under her father’s roof, and for the past couple of months she has been more sore and overtired than usual lately. Nevertheless, with the community coming together to rebuild her barn, hope comes to her in the form of Mose and his two young daughters.

Mose arrives to help with the barn raising in hopes of helping his best friend’s widow and in turn finds a woman who is in deep need of a helping hand. Being a widow too, he understands the burden Sarah is going through. Overtime they grow close and form a nice friendship. Therefore, when he learns of the extent of Sarah’s troubles he asks her to marry him, and she accepts. Yet what they didn’t know was that Sarah is keeping a secret even she wasn’t aware of, once the truth comes out will it be the final piece of the puzzle to bring their new family together or will it be too much of a burden for them to handle?

This moving tale of two widowers coming together was touching, fascinating, and very sweet. It was uniquely written..."

I liked Cheryl Williford's writing style in this story; I just felt like it was quite modern for an Amish community. Some of the names in this story weren't very "plain" either. I don't know if it was the research or what I just felt like I was reading about English people. It didn't have the Amish feel for me.

"Williford’s debut contains a resourceful, determined heroine in this tale of redemption, renewal and second chances. While some readers may not be fans of marriage-of-convenience tales, this one is well done and will have you rooting for a HEA" (RT Book Reviews, 4 stars).

This really surprised me. I bought it because I know the author, I usually don't like Amish romances. the characters were sweet and loving to each other. I'm ready for the next book to continue their story.

This one was a bit weird. The contrast between the harsh rules in Lancaster County and the total absence of rules in Pinecraft is mind-boggling. Hello, the Amish drive cars down in Florida, use electricity, and have cellphones to use at leisure?? There were also some glaring grammatical errors. Their instead of they're, peddle instead of pedal, etc.

I enjoyed reading The Amish Widow's Secret by Cheryl Williford. Widow Sarah Nolt has a hard time keeping her tongue from flapping. Her husband died in a barn fire that she thinks she started by leaving a lantern burning. In the end we find out who did start the fire. Amish people come and help rebuild the barn. Mose Fischer comes to help. He was a good friend of Sarah's husband. Mose Fischer lost his wife and has two small children. Mose figures he and Sarah can help each other if they get married. Mose has two small girls who need a mother. They get married and moved to Mose's Amish community. Where things are different. A very good read.

I was pleasantly surprised with Cheryl's book. I love Amish fiction and Cheryl has been added to my list of must read Amish fiction authors. Sarah one of the main characters has been recently widowed after her husband dies in a barn fire. Sarah meets Mose and his daughters who have come up for the barn raising. His wife died in childbirth. Mose sees the way Sarah is treated by her father and the fellowship and offers to marry her so she is not shunned. You must read to find out what happens. Give this new author a chance and I guarantee you will fall in love with her books.

This was another beautiful story. It was hard to put down and now I want the next chapter of this wonderful story. It touched on so many different aspects of life that I feel I've just finished a whole series of books on the same people.

AnAmish Widow's Secret is an amazingheartwarming stirywritten by Cheryl Williford. This book is center around a young Amish widow, Sarah Nolt who lives in Lancaster County. Sarah is a very strong willed young Amish woman who has recently lost her beloved Joesph and her grief is so overwhelmingly that she acts and speaks out of turn. This has brought great shame on her daed and he takes every chance he gets to throw it in her face and belittles her.

When Mose Fisher arrives in town to help rebuild her barn that had burned down it was attraction at first sight. I love this storyline from this point forward. I loved watching Sarah and Mose grow close but with Sarah's willfullness keep them apart? What secret is Sarah keeping from everyone and will it get her shunned? The characters are very likeable and realistic. I think the author took great pains to develope the right characters to tell her story.

I was not given a complimentary copy of this amazing book to read and review. I was not approached to post a favorable review at anytime. I have rated this book with five stars for meeting my expectations of a wonderful story that i can highly recommend to all those who love the Amish genre. All opinions and statements are strictly my own based on the amazing story that deals with love, loss, and second chances.

Congratulations to to Cheryl Williford on writing such an amazing story for her readers to enjoy. I will be anticipating more wonderful books from her in the future.
