Ten years ago, Aaron Wethers saved Rebecca Cromwell from drowning on spring break. Enamored by her sexy savior, Rebecca fell short of getting the hard-edged executive interested in turning his role of practical hero into a romantic one. Now his Caribbean resort is hosting Rebecca's fashion collection, and she has two weeks to show Aaron how much she's grown up. Yet instead of enjoying revenge, she's falling hard for the real but enigmatic man behind her long-ago infatuation.
Aaron hasn't forgotten the vibrant young student who propositioned him that night. He's left breathless by the self-assured, stunning beauty she's become. Under a blue island sky, they discover a deep, searing connection. But when a series of dangerous events threaten to sabotage her show, can he be the hero she needs now?

I was born many years ago in the American Midwest to a brave immigrant couple who decided to call themselves my parents. They moved around the country until they finally settled in Maryland. As a child I was always scribbling something and my family supported my efforts (with white knuckles and a lot of prayer).
After graduating from college, I worked various jobs and did some freelance writing hoping that one day my writing efforts would make me rich and famous and allow me to quit. That didn’t happen. Instead my last job was made redundant and I decided not to look for a new one. Instead I chose to live on my savings (and mild insanity) and write full time.
I would not recommend this route for other aspiring writers. Either marry well or have three years worth of salary saved. I took the risk because I wanted to and fortunately that same year I received an offer from a publisher for a two book contract–after a thirteen year effort, but that’s another story.
Aaron Wethers and Rebecca Cromwell's story was one of a kind. A real St. James pirate saves the day over and over again. Who can ask for more. I loved HC, his character was the best. Kelli should have gotten arrested and Candace (Aaron's Sister) should have gotten more than half her salary cut for the deviousness she caused. Read the story and figure out for yourself.
Rebecca Cromwell is a fashion designer doing a show in St James. Aaron Wethers owns the resort where she's staying. They have a connection, but someone is trying to sabotage her show, and Aaron is trying to protect her. A little mystery and romance mixed together - very good.
It's been a while since I read a book by Dara Girard and I must say this was one to quote my grands "the bomb." Well written with complex characters, a set of twins and a very precious little boy. Read a Touch of Paradise to see the drama come to life.
