Other person drama: the MMCs were together in the past. They broke up for years and they were both with others, but nothing serious. They never really got over each other. Once they got back together, they were 100% committed.
2.75 stars (these stars are mostly for the relationship the MMCs had with Arlo and Sawyer)
Henri and Blaze are probably in their late 30s, maybe early forties. They were together for a solid amount of time, and then Blaze chose being a seller of organs on the black market over Henri. They were apart for years. But they never really got over each other. Blaze regretted his choice. Something happened at some point recently (must have been in one of the author's books that I didn't read or it was a plot point I didn't pay attention to) and they got back together. The book starts off with them in the midst of their happily ever after. But there's a human trafficking threat that they are dealing with within the motorcycle club they work for and an 18 year old sex worker at the brothel that they work at is clearly keeping secrets and needs help. That's the conflict.
Oooh. I need to set the stage for this review. I read the other books in this series and I liked them. They were low angst, had good tension, and there was protectiveness/possessiveness which I'm weak for. So I thought I would like this book. But 5% in and I was so tempted to dnf, and I'm a person who does not dnf. I have dnf'd two or three times in the last 5 years. I stuck with it though, because I didn't want to have FOMO, and I thought it would go somewhere good. In the end though, I didn't like the direction the author took with this book, I didn't enjoy the relationship between the mmcs. The only thing I liked about this book was the relationship between the mmc's and Arlo and Sawyer, and the way they form a family together.
The first thing I hated was that this book is a second chance romance, and it starts off with the couple in an established relationship after having been apart for years. There are a couple flashbacks to show a little bit of their history, but you don't see much. It was an artistic choice of the author to tell a story of an established relationship, but the problem with doing that is you haven't let the readers get to know the couple, you don't show them at those critical moments of rebuilding trust and their relationship and getting back together. Henri says at one point "you have shown me that I am your world", but you're not showing the reader that, you're just telling us. You're not letting us see why they are together. All the tension is just gone when the book starts with them already in their HEA.
Immediately, I also hated Blaze for what he did in the past. Blaze was a shady thug in the past and he ran a business that sold organs on the black market. He and Henri had been together for a while, and Henri knew he did some sketchy s***, but he would not stand for selling organs, and he made Blaze choose between him and selling organs. And Blaze didn't pick him. I read dark romance a fair bit, but for me this is a hard line. I'm okay with an MMC murdering other bad guys, but selling organs is a huge no for me. And it is a huge sin for an MMC to not choose their love interest. Having them, and then saying "I don't choose you, you aren't important enough to me" is so hurtful. Immediately, unforgivable. And there wasn't even a good reason why Blaze didn't choose Henri, he was just dumb, it's not like he did it to save someone else close to him. And because this book starts off with Henri already having taken Blaze back, we never saw Blaze put in the work to be forgiven, he wasn't redeemed in my eyes. And they were apart for many years. Henri forgave Blaze but the reader has zero reason to! I was angry at Blaze.
On the positive side of things... I did like Arlo, Sawyer, and the relationship the MMCs had with them like I've said. And it's nice that they loved each other as much as they do. They really are in love. They had good banter. Blaze was a grump who was only weak for Henri, he was a big lug but he was a simp for Henri.
Minor bitter complaint of mine... The story is over at 85%. The rest of the pages are just a sneak peek of another book by the author. I absolutely hate when this happens. Because you think you're going to have a certain amount of story, you think it's paced a particular way, and then wham, book is over! I don't think authors should put 15% of the book dedicated to promoting their other work.
It sounds like Sawyer and Loyal are going to get a book. I'm disappointed that Sawyer already has a love interest. Sawyer is 18 and he's had to be a parent to his brother, be the sole provider for a long time, he's had to reluctantly work as a sex worker even though he didn't enjoy it. He's finally free to make choices for himself, and he has parents now in Henri and Blaze. He deserves to have some normal life experiences and not immediately fall into a forever relationship. Even if he doesn't hook up with Loyal right away, if he doesn't choose Loyal, Loyal will be hurt and be pining and Sawyer doesn't need that pressure.
Some notable moments:
Grump! "“Sawyer, you know my grump. But Arlo, this man is mine, and his name is Blaze.” “Hi, Blaze,” Sawyer offered shyly. Blaze grunted, and when Arlo looked up and up and up, his gaze widened as Blaze tipped his chin, and said, “Hey, kid.” “You’re big,” Arlo blurted."
Reunited after a kidnapping... "“Mon amour?” His jaw clenched again, but he unlocked it to order, “Here. Now.” My heart stumbled, but I grinned and took off running. He needed me to calm him down and didn’t want to get close to the victims in case they were scared of him. He wouldn’t say that, but I knew how my beast thought. When I jumped, he caught me and wrapped me up in his big arms, burying his face into the crook of my neck and inhaling deeply."
*FYI about steam: I rate steam based on a combination of quality & quantity. I note kink separate from steam because I don't want to underrate steamy reads that don't have much kink.

Loving Henri and Blaze's story! Full of all the things you need, expect, get suprised by, steaminess and giggles! Still waiting on my own order for one big grumpy, overprotective biker man!
Henri and Blaze didn't meet under the most traditional of circumstances, what with all the blood and all. However, they are now one of the tightest couples between in their own little MC gang. As businesses grow and so do members of their group, it's time to expand!
Henri is wanting a different change of career, but desires to keep an eye on certain individuals that concern him. Blaze is tasked with an intense task that affects a fellow MC, one with a terrifying time limit.
Can Blaze continue to keep Henri safe as danger peeks its ugly head around the corner?
Loved it! Stayed up all night reading it! No regrets!
Got to see and hear from ALL of Lila's MC series, with a sneak peek into some of what I hope is to happen from another upcoming book. Ack! Loved it! Along with the few new faces, one being a new couple that may or may not be written about, as well as the possibility of another classic naughty older cray-cray lady that pervs on the biker men, and a sassy lady through connections that ticks off another biker (how can I not be interested in that?).

I was so lucky to get a early copy of this story. I hardly read M/M romances, Lila Rose is the only authors M/M stories that I read. And this one was so much fun, I loved it.
Henri and Blaze was so freaking perfect for each other. The one this strong alpha broody don’t take no nonsense from anyone and the other the soft feisty ‘firecracker’.
Blaze knew that he made a mistake when he chose his job over his lover. So, when Henri gave him a second chance he did everything to make Henri see that he was the one for him and he will do everything for him no matter what.
The story had so much going on. You get to see how these two met, what they go through. You also get to experience Blaze’s daddy side coming out and how they make their own little family.
This story had lots of steamy sexy, dirty talking moments, lots of laughter amazing banter, loved the suspense that was thrown in that was definitely a plus for me. You get to see some special appearance from a favorite MC we all love 😊And lots of fuzzy and #sigh moments 😊
Can't wait for the next one Lila Rose. I know it will be another hit ❤❤

the best book ever
I had hope this book would come when we first met Blaze in Country’s book and I wanted him even more after reading Torch. I highly recommend this book if you like MM it has been moved to the top of my reread list. I read this in one night and I’m seriously sleep deprived but it was SO worth it. I generally prefer MM reads and this did not disappoint. Both Blaze and Henri are amazing for each other and have created a beautiful family for each other. I highly recommend this book. Love love love it. And I will be reading it again soon. These two men together were just perfect. Seeing Henri give Blaze a family he didn’t know he wanted and being his soft spot hits the heart strings for me. Blaze was forever Henri’s protector, his beast, his everything.
I’m looking forward to Loyal, Tech, and Rommie getting their book.
Also I really hope Gwen maybe gets a mafia king down the line, but that’s just me. This book was much anticipated and so worth the wait. It has become my favorite in this world.

I have been waiting on this book for years at this point. They have been teased about in her previous books and they have such a unique relationship i was so curious about their background and how they ended up together again😍
Lila did not disappoint she took these two and made them even hotter and possessive than I expected (and I expected it a lot! 😂) 🔥🥵
This book is for everyone who loves possessive males, dominant heroes, slightly crazy men and a love so strong nothing will break it (again) ❤️
But what I loved most about the book isn't just Henri and Blaze's story, but how they end up building a found family!
The beginning of the story is all about Henri and Blaze but the last is all about found family and showing just how much love Henri has for everyone!
So even though this book is 🔥🔥🥵 in the end it gives us a little bit more heart and depth than i expected and i loved it! 😍

Loved Henri and Blaze's story! Full of all the things you need, including steaminess and giggles! Henri and Blaze didn't meet under the the best of circumstances, however, they are an amazing couple with Henri's fire and Blaze's alphaness. I love how close they are to the mc. There were some many little things that I'm hoping to see play out in the future like Loyal finding his one. I can't wait to see what his new housemate brings to the table especially around the mc. This book has it all... Spice, naughty, funny as hell, and moments that make your heart melt. I can't wait to see what happens next.

So worth the wait
I have wanted blaze and henri 's book for so long and it was definitely worth the wait... Blaze gives strong silent type a new meaning, the way he loves Henri all consuming. I loved how blaze and Henri opened their home and heart for arlo and sawyer..I can't wait for the next book

Another fantastic read from this author, the adorable French man Henri that we all love and adore gets his happily ever after with his beast Blaze. Lots of action,drama, friendship, family and love in this next instalment of this series. Highly recommend this author to everyone 🖤❤️

What a great story. We got to see how Henri and Blaze met. Their chemistry was worth the years apart and finally getting back together. Blaze was so protective of Henri it was almost a little creepy😉. Henri and his flamboyant nature is always refreshing . The connection to the Hawks club in Australia was a lovely treat.

I loved everything about this. I loved Henri, I loved Blaze, I loved Sawyer, I LOVED Arlo! I also very much loved getting some of their background without having to go back in time. I was so happy to see so many options for future couples! I’m so ready for me from Lila and this world.

I enjoyed the storyline and the found family and loyalty throughout the book. Nice to see some old characters pop in as well.
I enjoyed the storyline and the found family and loyalty throughout the book. Nice to see some old characters pop in as well.

3.5 ⭐️ For Henri and Blaze
The 4th book in the P&P series. I read the first three a while ago and enjoyed them - books one and two especially. I think Saint and Gun may just pip Lucas and Wreck as my favourites, and it was good to see quite a bit of them in this.
I thought Henri was one of the best parts about Dusty and Country’s story in “Country”, and
I wondered what his and Blaze’s book would be about - I’d expected maybe we’d get a novella. I found this sort of plodded along with characters from previous books and some newly introduced ones, until we got to a stage where I “ah-ha’d” at a mention of another series, and this kicked into action and purpose around the 50% mark - with a fast and exciting storyline - and I was hooked, I could barely put it down. I’m loving the little crossovers we get with this series.
Super spicy in parts with loads of dirty talk and I loved the introduction of Sawyer (and Loyal). I hope we see more of them going forward.
The end came around quickly and was super sweet. The book sort of felt like three different stories to me, a little muddled, though I enjoyed it regardless. Hope there’s a story coming for Quake and Eve as well as Tech soon, and can’t wait for Lila’s next book to be released.

Once again, Lila manages to draw you in with a story full of biker action, romance, second chances, friendship, and of course, hints of new stories.
