I devoured this book! Give me twins & I'm like 'yes!', give me possessive twins & I'm like 'Hell yes!', but give me twins where one is a priest....I'm going to Hell & I'm not embarrassed or ashamed of that fact! I will never look at a cross the same way! I absolutely loved Julius & Orson's relationship. The way they always tried to protect each other & loved each other was actually sweet. This was deliciously sinful. I can't wait to get more from this series.

So basically my first thought here is, what kind of business did this book have being so darn sweet?! Because wow. These two just had me SWOONING and that was completely unexpected. I mean, don’t get me wrong.. this book is spicy as all heck, and dark and twisted and so depraved but it was also so SWOONY! Did I mention it was sweet? Yes? Well, damn.

Orson and his brother Julius have been through a lot of really awful, dark, terrible things in their life. But they’ve done everything together. Being twins and all, they’re ridiculously co-dependent, but it works for them! Until some months ago.. Orson leaves to be a priest and follow his dream, cutting contact with his family.

Now there’s a war beginning and Orson is forced to come back to the life he so desperately tried to leave behind. Julius is finally getting everything he’s wanted, and he’s not planning on letting his twin slip away again.

Worship Me had a lot of dark elements (so check your TWs!) all wrapped up in a sexy little bow with some forbidden spice and two brothers who just really can’t fight how they feel.. nor do they want too 😈

The spice in this book was absolutely memorable and Nova pulled out all the sexy elements (a cross, a cage, a jockstrap?! SAY LESS!) and I enjoyed every minute of it. I can’t wait to see how the rest of the books in this series turn out. Although these two get their HEA, their story isn’t over, and the war is just beginning.

Shout out to my fav 🦉 , Arnold. That dude is twisted and dark and creepy and I love him. I hope he continues to make appearances throughout the series!

Ok first thoughts, what am I walking into and how can I get more of this?! Julius and Orson are so sugary sweet and swooney it’s the perfect mix for this dark sacrilegious romance. If you’ve ever wanted to just raise your middle finger to religion and defile the hot priest this one is for you and Julius might be your new best friend.
Where Julius is the dark, broody, possessive twin Orson is the light, sunshine, but equally possessive other half. These two go through hell together Julius accepting his fate and enjoying the harsh reality of being the son of a Mafia leader. He likes to kill and torture especially if it to get revenge on anyone who has wronged his “Little O”. Orson is softer and couldn’t bring himself to be part of the family business so he escaped into the church and became a priest. His faith is what has kept him whole after the abuse both men suffered at the hands of their father. After time apart the two give into the temptation of wanting each other and whew it is one very hot tasty treat!

Orson releases a long whine, and his hands stretch behind him to pull on my hips, forcing me deeper into his body, even though I couldn’t possibly go further. Eventually, I collapse on top of him, out of breath, and light-headed. “Forgive me, Father, for I have sinned,” I joke.

I know, I'm too difficult to please especially when it comes to 'cest. This failed to grab and hold my attention and I'm going to blame it on the mafia angle. I don't care about that and I don't need a giant plot drowning out my 'cest smut. There are some mafia torture scenes thrown in if you like those.

The smut was good but too short. It's like a fun kink was introduced but the scene didn't explore it enough. For instance Orson comes out of the bathroom dressed in only a jock strap and slutty socks but also has a cock cage on. I don't care about cock cages but I do care about jocks & slutty socks. Yet twin bro was only focused on getting Orson to come through the cock cage. So In theory this contained fun kinks but I felt like they weren't explored well enough.

“I’m gonna come. I’m gonna fill this fucking belly.” Julius’ hips stutter before a volcano of cum erupts inside of me, claiming my insides as his own. “Fuck,” he growls into my neck, clamping down on the delicate skin. His bite stings, but I grab his head, shoving him harder against my neck, encouraging him to mark me. I want everyone to know I’m his slutty priest; no one else.

Wow. Just wow. I had no idea what I was stepping into with this one… but holy hell, I came out BLESSED. Or cursed. Depends who you ask 😈 Either way, I had the best time. Nova really said: let’s make it dark, let’s make it taboo, and let’s make it FILTHY 😮‍💨 and I devoured every second.

We’re thrown straight into the mafia chaos and meet Julius—cold, brutal, protective AF—and quickly realise he’s been through hell. Orson ran to the priesthood to escape their father’s madness… but when danger creeps in, Julius steps up to protect his brother the only way he knows how: with violence, sin, and more than a little blasphemy 🔥

The bond between these two? Twisted. Tender. DIRTY AF. The chemistry?? OFF. THE. CHARTS. That cross scene?? Yeah, I’m still recovering 🥵😵‍💫 Unholy in all the best ways.

I LOVED that this one was a bit longer than Nova’s usual—it gave me plot, pain, AND sin. Julius and Orson might’ve just stolen the crown from Kit and Isaac for me. I need more of their twisted, tender chaos.

Also??? The side characters?? Flawless. I am dying to know what’s up with Lucas and Max. Nova, I’m ready—ruin me with their story next 🙌

Julius has been trying to keep his father from destroying their family from the inside for awhile as the next in line to take over the 'business' he is also trying to save that as well. The only thing that was *somewhat* safe was his Twin Brother Orson. Even though leaving almost actually killed him, he got out to become a priest. Julius had his ground shaken when his father pulls Orson back in by unaliving a rival. Still super pissed that Orson isn't coming back to the family daddy now takes a hit out on Orson too which Julius just won't stand for. As Julius and Orson come back together due to their father's plans Orson let's slip the family business isn't the only reason he ran...but it was also his feelings towards Julius in a more that brother/twin capacity. Julius is just like OK BET let's go!! But Orson is a priest now.....do we really think Julius is gonna let that or his father stand in his way 😏

How can a book be pitch black, steaming hot and super sweet at the same time?

Quite brilliantly! Nova Burns has written a sweet twincest story between a priest and a mobster!

Set in a dark mafia story, we experience the sweet and romantic love story of mobster Julius and his adorable twin, priest Orson.

Growing up as the children of a cruel mafia boss, Orson and Julius experience terrible torture at the hands of their father. While Julius hardens up inside and is trained to become the heir to the family business, the tender-hearted Orson chooses to become a priest.

When Orson is summoned to the family estate, circumstances escalate into a mafia war.

I thoroughly enjoyed Worship Me. The allure of the forbidden coupled with a thrillingly exciting plot drew me deep into this story. Some endearing secondary characters give hope for more exciting stories to come!

Well, that delivered! My first book by Nova and I’m excited to reach for more. This had Incredibles spice and there was a real connection between Orson and Julius. I also really enjoyed the writing and there were some lines that were just so beautifully written.

There was one plot hole for me that I felt like could’ve been tweaked out a little bit more and still had the same effect but overall a very well pace story.

“But that one sentence has altered my reality, torn it wide open like an unhealed cut and sprinkled salt inside it.”

I also loved the nickname little O !
I loved the hearing loss representation as I deal with the same thing so that was really cool for me to read and a book for the first time.

This is for the taboo lovers out there, it’s giving us twincest with mafia vibes and a priest k!nk which is a new one for me but of course Nova knocked it out of the park! On top of being spicy it’s also funny and sweet. I actually had the pleasure of beta reading this one and then I of course did a reread when the ARCs came out because Orson and Julius might just be battling it out with Kit and Isaac for my favourite Nova couple. I’m so excited to see what we get next in the Damned & Depraved series!

Julius hasn’t seen his twin in six months since he left home to join the priesthood. Until Orson is summoned home by their father, all the feelings he had been running from come flooding back to the surface. Julius will do whatever it takes to protect Orson as the pressure from their enemies begins closing in. Julius is done tiptoeing around his darkest desires. And for Orson, running is futile when all roads lead back to him.

After the sheer volume of XXcest stories on my read and TBR lists has already secured me a priority seat on a one-way bullet train ticket to hell, getting this excited over the church sex🥵 feels like my destination just dropped down another level in hell. 🤪🔥🔥🔥

My only real complaint about this story is that the transition from priest to slutty bottom happens far too quickly. What I wanted to see was the priest being fucked, crying in guilt and confessing his sins to God—while his body betrays him, coming all over the place from pleasure, pain and passion intertwined. Ahhhhhh. Delicious.🤤

This was a bizarre cocktail of a dark crime-horror drama, a cheesy porn flick and teen drama. When our twenty-something heroes were not busy having sex, torturing someone or having traumatic flashbacks they indulged in silly banter, rolled their eyes a lot and demonstrated quite a naive and/or juvenile view of the world, like Orson's concept of "sin". The guy was actually worried about using "a holy artifact" as a sex toy, and this was the same guy who had front row seats to sins of the nasty, psychotic variety...
While each component of the plot had some merits, the mixture was not a successful cocktail because it led to inconsistent characters. It's probably more effective to choose one genre and stick with it.

Ok, so yes there are a couple of bits that are really on the dark side.
But with the darkness we also get some of the beauty of the feelings and relationship these twins have for each other.
Be prepared for some beautiful writing and also for some blood and gore.

O and J are the twin brothers of a mafia type very cruel father who delights in torturing his own kids to make them tougher. O left the family to become a priest, but is called back home when their father kidnapped a rival family's son and he wants O to finish him off in their torture cave. O can't do it so he decides to have his own son killed. J prevents that and he starts a relationship with O. But they have to navigate the family structure, and their rivals. And O needs to let go of the priesthood.

If it’s one thing nova burns does is make a good taboo romance with extra hot spice.
I loved everything about Julius’s unhinged possessiveness. Orsen balanced him out so well with his sweetness and fear of their closeness but Julius was all in all he needed to know was Orsen wanted him and he was ready for action. Get your taboo hearts ready because this was a also a engaging story mixed into the taboo and I need to have a Lucas and Max book ma’am. Worship me is a perfect balance of engaging storyline sexy taboo romance and hot spice

A book sure to send you straight down to hell where the party is always so much more fun anyway! Where "Forgive me, Father for I have Sinned" takes on all kinds of different meanings! Without giving this book away, it was darker than their usual taboo stories, and its been my Favourite yet! I smashed down this book so damn fast, with every chapter I was more engrossed, more captivated and to be the chef kiss of it all, the spice was top notch!

I have to admit that twincest is my biggest not so guilty pleasure.

I'm also a huge fan of mafia romance.

Add a couple of fun, interesting side characters, and I'm sold.

This is my first book by Nova Burns, and I have to say, I really enjoyed it. It ended up being less dark than what I was expecting but can still be triggering for some people.

The characters are very interesting. Orson, the "good brother," is conflicted at the beginning, but he accepts and embraces his "fate" very quickly. Julius, the "bad brother," is unapologetic about who and what he is; he doesn't trouble himself with excuses, knows what he wants, and does what he has to do to get it.

The spice is good; the taboo aspect of it always makes it hotter.

This isn't the dark, plot-driven mafia story I was expecting; there are a lot of loose ends in the big picture. Supposedly the story should develop as more books come out (I assume the next book should be about Lucas (the younger brother) and Max (the cousin)). but all things considered, an entertaining read.

This was my first real taboo book about Twins !
(I’ve read stepbrothers etc aleady) , and cause i’m a twin myself (2 girls tho) i was scared i would dislike it.

But i didn’t! It was written so good , loved Orson & Julius’s dynamic, how Julius was so protective and caring towards Orson. The spice was amazing, loved all the kinky parts involvinc a cross etc!!
The mafia part was great, not too much , cause sometimes it only focusses on the mafia stuff and i donnt mind as long as its not suuuuper drawn out!

Overal I really loved it and read it in a day!

🖤 Nova, babes, you have done it again! Julius and his slutty little priest have to be my fave besides Isaac and Kit, they’re just so perfect and I absolutely loved them! Orson was so hesitant to accept his feelings for Julius because of his religion but once he did, sparks flew, and it was HOT and sweet and absolutely the best! Even after everything they went through because of their father, and their story being a bumpy ride, they got the HEA they deserved and I loved every bit of it! Ok, but I just wanted to give the sweet babies some hugs because they deserve all the love and hugs! Okok, now a moment for the spice! We need to talk about that cross scene and the roll playing scene!! Those two were my favorite scenes and god, were they perfect! I will never be able to look at a cross normally again, I will forever think of Julius having Orson bent over the desk. And now a moment for the side characters, Lucas and Max! I can’t wait to see what Nova has in store for them, cause after that sneak peek I’m gonna need to read about them ASAP.

Twins AND one of them is a priest? Taboo double whammy! So of course I had to read it.
I loved it! Crazy that still so much plot and other stuff can be put in under 150 pages! I did not see that coming as I'm used to much shorter books from this author. But Orson and Julius were just 🤌🏻😏 with a sprinklink of breeding kink and (obviously) priest kink and corruption kink, this was a perfect little read!
Mind your triggers, as there's quite a bit of gore in this as well! I mean, they're mafia boys, sooo 🤷🏻🤣

Loved the setup for this world and Julius and Orson coming back together after being apart for 6 months. The book was paced very well until it hit the epilogue, where it wrapped up and rushed into an ending.

I think this would have benefited from being a full novel. Instead of Julius recounting how he killed his father, I would've liked to read that in real-time. Also when the secret came out, I think there would have been more resistance or power struggle from the underlings, but we only see the scenes with the oldest aunt. If this ever gets expanded, I think a lot of scenes can be more in-depth.

Mind the warnings because the torture scenes are very detailed, so may be too dark for others, but you can skip those if you want to read the rest of the book.

Can't wait for Lucas and Max's book! They had such chemistry, and loved that there's another pair that Jules and Orson don't have to keep their secret from.

Wow hot damn this Nova Burns books was hot.
I loved this dark romance,mafia, and twincest taboo book . The spice in this book was off the charts.
Julius was darker & delivsh twin. Orson was light and angelic. They were so possessive and twisted together. Orson and Julius are soulmates.

Max and Lucas were good secondary characters.
I'm definitely excited for Nova's next taboo book.

All I have to say is… fantastic! If you love taboo, steamy, spicy, twins, this is the book for you! If you have any issues with taboo, kink, religious blasphemy then you probably should skip this one cause it will hav me you clutching your pearls lol if you’re like me, the more taboo and morally gray the characters are I am running to read it then you will enjoy this book. Definitely high heat!

Pretty good spice interspersed with mentions of plot. 🤣 I liked how Julius and Orson were feral for each other, but because it was fairly short, I felt like issues were resolved very quickly.
I’d definitely recommend this to someone looking for taboo, but think it could have used a bit more time editing as it sometimes read as a bulleted list and a bit choppy.
