When burned-out rock legend Devon Dixson retreats to a quiet Michigan beach town to salvage his crumbling career, love isn’t part of the plan. But when he collides, literally and emotionally, with Paige Purdy, a spirited small-town shop owner, sparks fly in ways neither of them expects.
She’s sworn off heartbreak. He’s running from fame. Together, they ignite a chemistry hotter than a summer sunset. As Devon rediscovers his passion for music, Paige starts to believe she deserves a love story of her own.
But when the reality rears its ugly head, both must decide if what they’ve found is a fleeting summer fling — or the kind of love worth risking everything for.
Set against the stunning shores of Lake Superior, Sunny Rock Harbor blends rock star glamour, small-town heart, and irresistible slow-burn heat. Perfect for readers who love Sarina Bowen, Devney Perry and Kristen Callihan, this standalone steamy romance proves that sometimes, love shows up when — and where — you least expect it.

What can I say!... You have to read this book... Paige and Devon's story if one of self discovery and acceptance. Both of them have gone through some losses in life, and are trying to rebuild themselves; a chance encounter in this small town with a not so friendly welcome sets them in a course for a summer fling with a chance of a HEA. There is plenty of laughter, smut, tender moments, and a great love story. A must read.

Paige meets Devon while walking by the lake, and he’s gorgeous in that biker, tattooed, bad-boy kind of way. Their first meeting doesn’t go well—Paige thinks he’s a jerk. Devon, though, immediately notices how beautiful she is in that I haven’t been with anyone in a long time kind of way, and she definitely makes an impression. When they meet again, everything changes. Their first date is amazing—and hot. This is a short story, but it’s well written and surprisingly sweet. Devon is a genuinely good guy whose ex-wife really damaged his self-esteem. His band is a bit annoying since they mostly complain, but they don’t overshadow the romance. What starts as a summer fling keeps getting better and deeper. Devon might be the cleanest rock star ever, and I loved his character. Paige is a great contrast—a nice local girl to his Detroit city life—and they’re perfect together. I loved the ending. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Highly recommended.
I Love small town romance and Sunny Rock Harbor is a cute gorgeous little coastal town, that I would love to visit. Although the towns people are all so nosey and in everyone's buisness, but nothing exciting happens in Sunny Rock..That is until a stranger moves into the BIG house by the sea. Paige Purdy works and part owns the souvenir shop in town and she longs for excitment and adventure. So she becomes so intrigued by who has moved into the house, its expensive to rent so she assumes the person must be a Millionaire. Paige is way off base.. Devon Dixson's life is a disaster he is divorced and a musician and the band that he is part of is on the verge of breaking up. Being the sole member of the band who writes the songs,he has one more shot at writing some quality songs to make their next album a success. The problem is he has some kind of writers block and can't write anything,he needs inspiration..So this is why he rented a house in a small town to get away from all the noise and hopefully write some songs that will be hits...The pressure is on big time. But the disappointment is clear with Paige when she finally meets the stranger..He is definately NOT a Millionaire he looks like a vagrant..lol..it does not go well.Their second encounter is better and Devon apologises for their first meeting and being abrupt. They can't stop thinking about eachother and finally go on a date, which Devon is shocked about he never thought Paige would want anything to do with him. I felt really bad for Devon he has low self esteem because of his Ex Wife, she used to belittle him all the time, resulting in him not having any confidence in himself. But Paige is different she believes in him and gives him the confidence to take charge of his life, and soon the songs start pouring out of him. Paige also has an Ex and they split up when he chose a job over her,he was selfish and never made her feel wanted. Devon is different he makes Paige feel desired and gives her the sexual confidence to try new things. They begin to fall for one another but Devon's stay in Sunny Rock is not permanent and he is leaving to go back to his life...and Paige lives in Sunny Rock she has a buisness and her family and friends her life is here...So what will happen to their Summer Love when Devon leaves. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this story it was a great insight into a musician's struggles with his craft...Its not all sunshine and roses, its a cut throat world and one minute you could be riding a high and the next you're at rock bottom. I did Love Devon he was a little insecure and really sweet...I really liked the change in him because of Paige's faith in him. Paige is so loyal and kind of quirky I liked the way she stood up for herself with people in town, even though they never listened to what she said. They were a perfect fit for eachother...and not just in the bedroom were they are and explosion of passion. Melinda Druga's words are so enticing and I love reading them, she is not afraid to write what needs to be written..Which makes her stories and characters feel so authentic. Sunny Rock Harbor is a fabulous book and it was such a joy to read. Loved it. 5 Stars.
Rock star Devon Dixson escapes Detroit for a fresh start on Lake Superior but still feels lost and uninspired. Paige Purdy, running a quirky souvenir shop, is ready to move on from her past despite small-town gossip. When the two collide, their clashing personalities spark something unexpected.
Loved this small town romance, the drama was page turning.
I wanted to like this more. I really did. The story had good bones, and the growth in the two main characters was sweet, but it was flat. The ex arc was a twist that didn’t have any depth. And then there were the editing errors. The dual first person POV without indicating the switch between characters also made the book hard to follow.
This is a very cute, spicy novella. It was such a pleasant read with a HEA ending. Small town girl big city rock star. A perfect combination leading to a perfect read. Thank you Booksprout for the advanced copy. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
