She thought survival was the endgame. But survival was just the setup.
Serenity has clawed her way to peace, love, safety, and a multi-million-dollar inheritance meant to buy her freedom once and for all. But money can’t erase what’s coming.
Old scars reopen when Sariah disappears from a psych hold, leaving behind a trail of blood and buried truths. As Serenity starts rebuilding, familiar ghosts rise from the grave and someone unseen is pulling strings from the shadows.
Because the truth behind Serenity’s legacy was never about wealth. It’s about blood, her blood.
Now Serenity must choose…
Will she run? Will she fight? Or face the truth about why she was really chosen?
This isn’t just the end of a story. It’s the reckoning of a bloodline. And everyone has a price to pay.
In order to understand the circumstances surrounding Serenity and her past. You seriously have to read the previous books to get a full understanding that Sharonda, Latrice, Silas, Teyana, Bryson, Sariah, Sevyn was all part of a sick, twisted, and sinister plot. Zayden isn't playing no games when it comes to anybody trying to harm Serenity. Lunelle popping up like a ghost from Christmas past sent off alarms. Zayden, Serenity, and Sevyn have learned she's the fuel to the fire that started all the bs from the beginning. Every moved that have been made since the truth about her life have left Serenity drained but more stronger and wiser. Serenity is a sweetheart but she is tired of finding out secrets and dealing with betrayal. I'm surprised she forgave Teyana after she snaked her for year's and betrayed her by creeping with Bryson. I believe Sevyn do have Serenity best interest at heart. Sevyn goes just as hard for Serenity. Learning who Lucille is had me side eyeing the hell out of Lunelle. The b***h is crazy. I believe had she told the truth instead of playing with people lives. Serenity may have donated to help Lucille. Serenity good heart had her giving Sariah grace and I knew it was going to backfire. Sariah is after that money. Plus she's jealous, delusional, and have a serious obsession with Zayden. I had a feeling Sharonda wasn't dead. The way this ended. Some s**t is about to go down. With Serenity being pregnant and Lunelle popping back up to collect what she feels is owed to her. I don't see this situation ending with. Especially with how Zayden is about Serenity.
I am really confused on how this series has such high ratings. Book one had potential it was vaguely interesting. Now I’m just over it.
**Spoiler Alert** I normally love a fast pace romance because you don’t have to worry about forced slow paced drama but no this hardly made any sense from the beginning.
Star baller sleeping with bestie and cousin, loses it behind a girl he hasn’t even slept with. Like what and why add the cousin it was completely unnecessary.
Zayden had such potential but then he was screwed too because who is he really. His introduction was not complete at all then he kept having more and more pull like ok what did I miss when did this happen. Then the romance with Serenity was just forced. She was depending on a man she had just talked to but somehow was now in a full fledged romance. Even to the point he knew a war was started he put someone on following her but didn’t put guards on her just a tracker like he a boss calling in everyone but didn’t protect his queen. It didn’t make sense.
I normally love fast paced books because it skips all the fluff but this story had very poor foundation, no clarity of time and entirely too much going on there was no breathing room. It creating suspense she caused the book to be chaotic.
Shantel, where do you get these storyline plots? It’s really unique with craziness i ever hears before and I’m hooked. I cannot wait to see how the end….usually in most romance novels you guess ending. What in the hell??? I absolutely do not know how this ends. I’m excited to see how they get out of this. My daughter’s father name is Ramel so I love of character. Man, I am so excited.enjoy you vacay and comeback with even crazier stories we cannot put down.
Oh man I waitedddddd for the blossom like a flower I’m no longer a virgin scene. I waited 4 whole books… This one was cute, but underwhelming. The proposal scene made up for it some. Ugh! Also, A lot of this book started getting paranormal and started throwing me off. The ending definitely brought me back in. Also, a lot of errors and missing words. I have to see how it wraps up.
I struggled to get through this series, missing words in sentences and grammatical errors made it hard to comprehend some of the paragraphs. This plot line was different so I stayed with it to see where it would go and wouldn’t you know - another ending that left me hanging. Shouldn’t take 5 books to tell a story.
I almost did not finish this fourth installment of the series because new people popped up, you still don't know what's going on, and quite frankly, the book was becoming boring. When the plot is somewhat revealed, let's just say I'm not impressed. Top that off with the hundreds of grammatical errors, well... I'm being generous with four stars.
If it’s one thing throw author knows how to do it’s leave you hanging on a good cliffhanger. You would think this series would get boring but it gets better and every piece of the story is well thought out and intentional.
Who else lost reading this who else trying to make 2+2=4 cause I’m lost even after reading the paragraphs over and over making sure I didn’t miss anything
