FROM EXCITING AUTHOR OF NEW ADULT ROMANCE MAREN JENNER
Book three in the Wrighting the Wrongs series
One wrong move tore Silas and Meg apart, but the right one could bring them back together.
Trust has never been easy for Meg Parker, especially when it comes to guys. Every man in her life has left her — starting with her father, so she knows better than to count on her boyfriends sticking around. The only person she thought she had a shot with was Silas Wrighting but he burned that bridge two years ago.
Even though Silas has held on to his bitterness toward Meg since their falling out, there’s no denying she’s his type. The women he dates all resemble her. He thinks nothing of it until his brother points out that maybe Silas isn’t looking for someone like Meg, he’s looking for Meg, and Silas’ world is turned upside down.
One wrong move left each of them with scars. Baby steps start the healing process, but they both have to decide if they can let go of the past and move forward to a new future. A future together.

4.25/5 stars. Book 3 in the Wrighting Brother Series, and this time it is Silas. If you have read the first two, we have already met Silas thru the eyes of brothers, and the antagonistic relationship he has with Meg, the cousin and best friend of Leah. Within these two previous books, Meg displays all the sass and snide comments but this belies some trauma and hurt.
When Silas finds himself diagnosed with ADHD, it begins to explain alot about his behaviour, and the person that is there, the stabling force he needs when he loses focus is Meg. And, this is also true for Meg. There has always been that connection, those intense emotions, with Silas realising that he has always looked for a 'Meg' to fill that space, whilst Meg cautiously navigates how she had put her heart on the line before, but is unsure whether she wants to do this again. I mean, when your own Mum is a 'piece of work' full of spite and misdirected hate, Meg battles with self doubt and trust issues. Silas is the most thoughtful, delicious retriever of a man, and how he adores and spoils Meg, and is 200% there is perfection. I absolutely adored these two, and I am now equally excited to get Steven's book next, the eldest brother.
What a freaking solid read! Maren has done it again with the third book in her "Wrighting the Wrongs" series that follows the Wrighting brothers. I thought that I loved Sebastian the most, and while he still has a huge part of my heart....Silas has taken more of it.
Its possible I have such a strong bias to Silas, as I see my husband reflected in him. Golden retriever energy for Meg, but thats not without ADHD struggles [which is also our reality]. Communication issues and other walls tore them apart initially [we get to witness the aftermath through the other two books], but we get to see them work through their issues in their book. Something that Maren always blows me away with, is her sensitivity to the mental health of her characters and advocating for them to put in the work on themselves but as a couple too. She gives her characters such a great foundation. She shows the realness of a relationship with "issues" and how much work and trust goes into making them sucessful!
Im incredibly lucky to have been an ARC reader for Maren, and I cannot wait to get to read Steven's book.
Meg and Silas were cute! I wasn't sure what their dynamic was going to be because we had only experienced them bickering in the first two books in the series.
Meg has been THROUGH it, poor thing. that was not really touched on in the first two and I liked getting to see her at a deeper level. She was pure sass and strength in Leah and Sebastian's books, but we saw a very vulnerable side to her I. The Wrong Move and I loved to see it.
Silas is a precious puppy. Holy cow, talk about a Golden Retriever MMC. I LOVED getting to read about his struggles with ADHD and the nuances there, I think it adds a completely different layer to how someone interacts with others, and I really felt that Maren did this justice.
There was an analogy that Meg used a lot throughout the story in reference to a cable being strong and that is how she gauged the strength of her trust, and I thought this was such a cool reference.
Overall, I liked this story! and would recommend it. spice: open door
5⭐️ 3🌶 4😭 This was such a fantastic story—another beautiful addition to the series! I’m constantly blown away by Maren’s writing. She has a gift for capturing raw, real moments and translating true emotions onto the page.
There were several times I was brought to tears—both from the soul-crushing hurt Meg endures and the unwavering kindness, strength, and love Silas offers her. Their journey is heartbreakingly beautiful and deeply moving.
This book touches on so many important themes: strength and resilience, past trauma, ADHD acceptance, patience, found family, and above all, an overwhelming amount of love. These characters have faced so much, but they’ve endured, grown, and come out stronger—and absolutely perfect for each other.
Maren Jenner does it again with the third book in her Wrighting the Wrongs new adult romance series! Unlike in the other books, this is a second chance romance and it was trauma and a lack of communication that pulled them apart the first time. I love that Meg and Silas found their way back to each other in this book and that once again the Wrighting family supported this couple. I also love that there is a mental health rep and therapy is encouraged for both of the main characters. I can’t wait to read about Steven’s love story in the next book! Thank you to Maren Jenner for the opportunity to read this early.
Silas and Meg's story was full of love, tension and hurt. Meg has had a rough life with her mom and Silas was recently diagnosed with ADHD and was learning about himself more. Their bickering and hate had lots to do with misunderstanding and too high of walls to break through. With the help of their family and friends, they become closer and work on their relationship.
First off, I love the Bridgerton following-a-family-and-their-lives type of interconnected standalone idea. Thank you Maren for the Arc! The Wrong Move follows Meg and Silas, two characters from previous books in the Wrighting the Wrongs series. I love that we get to see how their relationship has changed from the past books while also still getting to keep tabs on other beloved characters from past books. This is a quick feel-good read that I used as a pallette cleanser between massive and intense fantasy books and it hit the mark so well. It did exactly what I needed it to. It was easy to follow, well written, didn't have any major anxiety inducing moments and was just great for what I needed. This book is full of great communication between the FMC and MMC and is an advocate for therapy and has ADHD representation which I think is important for people to see. Can't wait to read the last installment !
The Wrong Move is a heartwarming story that left me feeling happy. Up until now, Silas and Meg have always come across as disliking each other, so it was refreshing to finally learn more about their history and the past events that shaped their feelings. It’s a slow burn, but their care for one another really shines through in their actions. I especially appreciated that they worked things out through honest conversation—and that the story avoided the kind of over-the-top drama that can feel stressful to read.
I also loved the strong friendships between the women—Leah, Meg, and Callie’s support for one another was a real highlight.
This series as a whole is fantastic, with each book focusing on one of the Wrighting brothers, while still featuring the entire family and the characters we’ve come to know along the way. Each story can be read as a standalone, but I’d highly recommend reading them all—they’re too good to miss.
The men of this series just get better and better. Silas and Meg's story is no exception. The emotions felt by the characters could be felt by the reader. I was in it with them! They make such a good team! Don't miss this one.
This was such a cute love story! I loved every second of it. Thank you to Maren for letting me have an ARC! This title is set to be released on September 30th, 2025.
Lucky to have received an ARC for this book. I really liked this one! Meg is sassy but also vulnerable, which made her feel so real and is my favorite combo. I loved seeing her growth. I liked how we got to see what a good guy Silas really is. Their story had a lot going on but I enjoyed watching them work through it together. Very cute read
I was able to read this book ahead of its release date thanks to Maren Jenner.
I recommend this book to someone looking for a second chance romance with pining and ADHD rep.
This is the third book in an interconnected series. It can be read as a stand alone but I would 100% recommend you read the previous books to get the full picture of the world around the two main characters in this book.
I had been waiting for Meg and Silas’s story for so long. Maybe I over hyped it in my mind. Maybe I unknowingly judged it against The Wrong Idea (book 2 in the series) which is my favorite book in the series. Either way I wasn’t able to get sucked into the book. The book excelled in the neurodivergent rep which kept me reading though.
Maybe this is because I come from a very neurodivergent household but Silas’ ADHD diagnosis reveal to his parents felt more like a coming out of the closet moment with how he did it and how his parents responded. I did like how an uncle with a late diagnosis is mentioned because that rings true to ADHD being genetic. As always though, Maren Jenner did a great job of capturing ADHD. From the dozen random projects, forgetting the laundry, indecisiveness, getting overwhelmed with tasks and Rejection Sensitive Dysphoria, Silas had it all. I really enjoyed reading his journey from feeling like something was wrong with him the whole time to discovering that there is an explanation for it and finding the tools to help himself. Meg’s storyline with abandonment issues and feeling like she wasn’t part of the “family” fell short for me. I would have loved to read the scene of her putting up the boundaries with her mom. In the end she’s a work in progress. Which is a very real ending for her storyline.
Silas and Meg's second chance romance was full of banter, longing and taking chances. They both cared about each other throughout the story. The reason for their first breakup was also very realistic since they are college age and had to deal with a lot of guilt. I liked that Meg advocated for Silas when she knew he needed it. Silas was happy just to be in the same space as Meg and getting along. He’s a Golden Retriever BF for sure. He gave her space when she needed it. Respecting her boundaries. Their spicy moments were very well written. They were fun and intimate.
I really liked seeing Meg and the other girls spending time together and seeing event from previous books through Meg and Silas’s eyes. I also liked that Meg made friends outside of the core group. It was a big growth moment for her. It also made for some really funny scenes between Meg and Sila’s friends.
Overall, it was a good book and I am looking forward to the next book in the series. I need all the brothers to get their happy ending.
"Silas lets me be myself, lets me find my own way, in my own time. And is right there to catch me if I fall." - Meg
"I can always count on her to be there, steady and dependable. Even if it isn’t easy for her." - Silas
Meg and Silas had something in the past, and after a lot of time, they finally decide to talk and be friends and start their second chance. They know a lot about each other, and Meg needs time to fully trust Silas again. Silas gives her all the time that she needs while also telling her how to communicate with him. Silas has ADHD, and he receives information differently. He just started learning more about that part of himself, and Meg helps him in ways that work for him. It's so beautiful that they do everything to understand the other better, that they put that effort into forming a connection again.
"You’re important to me, and I want to understand how your brain works, just as much as I want you to understand yourself." - Meg
"She is my planet and I’m her moon, revolving around her as her gravity pulls me in." - Silas
Meg has a hard time believing that Silas wants her and only her because of her past. Silas always tries to reassure her. It's always "whatever you want," meaning that it is always on her pace because she needs that. She needs to understand that she has a found family and that everyone in her found family loves her unconditionally. Silas has always been sure about her. He has always wanted her.
See I am usually not a fan of second chance romance books but what if I tell you all that this was probably the best second chance book I have ever read. Don't believe me??, let me tell you they are exes and living in the same house so what do you expect, obviously there is lots of drama , banter and crazy things going down between them.
They weren't really committed before in the book but they had feelings for each other and yes they were new so whatever they had , ended as they couldn't deal with the fights, guilt and resentment that developed between them and they decided to go their separate ways but now two years later they are again facing their longing and feelings for eachother and this time they might not be able to avoid it. [ Misunderstanding / miscommunication trope ] ( living in the same house ).
I always love myself a golden retriever MMC and a stronghead FMC and I loved how the author explained the MMC's ADHD and the FMC's trauma and showed us a vulnerable side of her. In the first two books Meg and Silas were always bickering but in this book the author actually portrayed their issues and Meg and Silas were so cute together 🤭.
So there is longing, care and lots of heat between them but later their relationship develops into something beautiful and this is a HEA. Thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to arc read this novel.
I really enjoyed this one, Meg is a sassy girl after my own heart, but I loved to see her vulnerability as well. The whole series is great, but this one hit home for me because of how real it is.
Meg has really gone through it, and I loved how resilient she was but also how she also realized the cards she was dealt. I think that is important because being an adult really opens your eyes to things like how your parents treat you.
Silas is definitely one of my favorites of the brothers. His journey throughout this novel was great to read, and I loved finding out how much of great man he is.
Their love story is messy with ups and downs, but they have known each other for quite a bit of time, and life itself is messy in itself. I really enjoyed their journey and romance that unfolds and how mature they eventually were with correcting their mistakes that they both made. This is a great book if your looking for two characters that lived a whole bunch of life and found themselves still wanting each other after the messy bits. I was lucky enough to receive an arc of this amazing novel and am leaving a review of my own thoughts and feelings.
By far my favorite book in the series. I don't even know where to start—The Wrong Move absolutely wrecked me in the best way. I cried more than once, but it was Silas who truly hit me the hardest. The way Maren Jenner portrayed his ADHD was so raw and real—I’ve never felt so seen in a book before. As someone who also lives with ADHD, there were moments that felt like they were pulled straight from my own brain. His struggles, his spirals, his effort to just be understood—it was all so beautifully and painfully accurate. And then there’s Meg. I’ve always related to her, but in this book especially, her inner battles mirrored so much of what I’ve gone through myself. Watching her navigate those challenges was emotional and oddly comforting. Maren doesn’t shy away from the hard stuff, and that’s what makes these characters feel so alive. This book just gets it—the messiness of being human, the ache of wanting to be known, and the hope that maybe, just maybe, we’re not as alone as we think. I honestly can’t stop thinking about it. If you've been waiting for the series to hit its emotional peak—this is it. A stunning, cathartic read. Thank you, Maren, for this one. 💙
I'm so excited to share my thoughts on "The Wrong Move," the third book in the "Wrighting the Wrongs" series! I’ve been eagerly waiting for Silas and Meg’s love story ever since we got our first glimpse of them in the earlier books, and let me tell you, it was absolutely worth the wait!
In this book, we delve deeper into Meg’s life and everything she has been through. She’s faced some tough challenges, but her strength and determination really shine through. Silas, on the other hand, is dealing with his ADHD diagnosis, and together, they learn to trust each other again as they heal from their pasts and build a stronger, healthier connection.
I just loved their love story! It’s relatable and feels so real because, let’s face it, life is messy and chaotic. I found myself laughing and crying right alongside them, and it made it impossible to put the book down—I read it in one sitting! Now I'm counting down the days until the last book comes out, so we can see the last Wrighting brother get his happily ever after! Can’t wait!
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Maren writes some of the best slow burns. Do they sometimes take me a second for me to get into? Yes, but that's a me problem lol. The last 2 books we were teased by the tension and drama between Silas and Meg. I was chomping at the bit to get in there and get to the bottom of their second chance story. This one was worth the wait.
Silas, after Sebs diagnosis, went under his own journey. The ADHD rep was covered so well in this. The character growth also with him going to therapy and finding ways to understand himself and manage life better was so healthy. Taught me some along the way also. Now Silas wasn't the only one who grew, Meg learned to let down her walls and heal and that was huge, in the end her growth was the one that took the longest but the effort was there. I didn't find her unlikeable like so many problematic FMCs. She was relatable but was able to be reasoned with and grew, not overly stubborn to her own detriment.
The dynamic of the brothers and their found family has me swooning. I could move in today! Poor Steven the older brother is feeling left behind. I can volunteer lol
Such a great read!! I love how this book tackles several different topics including ADHD and past trauma.
Meg has high walls. Especially after what happened between her and Silas. When Sebastian calls them out at breakfast one day it brings the pain from two years ago forward. I was so happy that she finally dealt with it and they talked.
Silas has a newly discovered diagnosis of ADHD. He is working through what that means when the secret he and Meg had is blurted out over breakfast in front of everyone. When he talks to his brother about things he realizes some hard truths including the fact he has never gotten over Meg.
This story is second chance and I loved it! They both have past mistakes to work through to start back as friends. Silas’s strength and devotion are clear throughout the story. Meg’s desire to truly trust people and let them in is endearing.
This can be read as standalone but is more enjoyable if you read the other stories first.
The Wrong Move is a heartfelt new adult romance about healing, trust and second chances. This was a highly anticipated read for me as I absolutely loved the first two books in the Wrighting the Wrongs series, and book three did not disappoint! The characters are complex, messy and easy to connect with. The ADHD representation is nuanced and felt very natural. The enemies to lovers romance is sweet, emotional and full of heart. You can really see the thought and care that Maren puts into her books!
I loved watching Silas and Meg’s love story unfold. Their romance has the perfect combination of slow burning tension, witty banter and chemistry. The way they support and take care of each other had me swooning! They really compliment each other as a couple.
I love this series so much and can’t wait to read the final installment with the Wrighting brothers! These are such beautifully written stories with heartfelt romance and disability representation, and I can’t recommend it enough, especially if you are a fan of Chloe Liese!
Thanks a million to Maren Jenner for the amazing opportunity to be on your ARC reader team again!
I love this whole series, but I think this one is going to go down as my favorite of the series just because I can resonate with it so much. I see so much of myself in Meg. Also, because my husband and my middle daughter both struggle with ADHD and some of the stuff that Silas deals with I see in them every day. So, this book definitely hit home. But I loved it soooo much! Meg and Silas are perfect for one another, yes, they both had their own stuff they had to work through but once they communicated with one another it was absolutely beautiful. He never gave up on her and made her realize that he wasn't going anywhere no matter what! Their story isn't just about their love for one another; it's about them finding out who they are themselves and learning to cope in their own way while still letting the other in. I 100% recommend this book! I can't wait for the next one so that we can see Steven the oldest Wrighting brother get his happily ever after!
Silas and Meg get a second chance at love. Meg needs a lot of reassurance that Silas wants her because of her past and luckily he is okay with giving her all of it. He has always wanted her, but she has a hard time accepting that. She has a hard time with the “found family” aspect. She hasn’t had the easiest life, but this girl has bounced back. And she is sassy, I love it. Silas has ADHD and just receives information different than others, this is something he has recently discovered and it learning to live with. I loved how Meg stepped up with this and how helped she was. These two grew so much together. They had so much to grow and learn together. They have known each other for so long, but together they were able to learn, grow, and get through the mistakes of the past and find love together.
I have been eagerly waiting for Silas and Meg’s story ever since the first book in this series. We’ve known that something had happened between them but didn’t know what it was. Early on in this book we get their background and I love hearing things from their points of view.
As someone who also has ADHD, I am able to relate to Silas and everything he’s going through in the story. Meg taking the time to learn more about it and helping him however she can really shows how much she loves him, even before she can say the words. Silas is there for her as well and helps her overcome all of her insecurities stemming from her problems growing up with her family.
One of my favorite things about this series is the close bond that all of the brothers have that also includes Meg, Leah and Callie. Three out of the four brothers now have their HEA and I can’t wait to finally get Steven’s story, especially after getting to know him a little bit more in this book!
It's hard to put into words how much I loved this book.
I can say for a fact that it's now my favourite in the series!
The ADHD representation was so on point and I have a favourite scene that touched me to the core.
I love the fact that Silas was willing to go all out and do the work to mend his relationship with his "nutmeg" 🥹 The process did not feel forced and the growth of both charachters was lovely to read.
I highly recommend this whole series as you can't help but fall in love with all the brothers and hoping that they ALL find their one an only!
Many thanks to author Maren Jenner for the ARC and apologies for the late review.
We first encountered Silas and Meg in the beginning of this series. They had some amazing chemistry, but there was past trauma there that prevented them from being truly happy...with anyone. That's not to say that they didn't try. This book gives you a glimpse into their past and does a wonderful job of explaining the missing details that we didn't have in earlier books in this series. I have to say, each new book adds so much to the love that I have for this family and I just can't get enough! I'm eagerly waiting for more.
Really curious as to how the fourth book will be when this one blew all my expectations! Book 2 had some parts missing that I wish were there, and guess what?! Book three for the win! I was excited to get more about a certain wedding. Also never heard of RSD, but it explains so much about me. I love how The Wrong Move covers ADHD. So far definitely my favorite book. A tie between brothers though Silas and Shawn are definitely my favorite. Meg is definitely an amazing woman, and I'm glad she gets what she deserves. ;)
Silas and Meg, what a turnaround for them! I loved how their story started off not so good but turned into a HEA! Silas learns he has ADHD and has to adjust to his diagnosis. In learning how to juggle his ADHD he figures out that he wants to work things out with Meg. Meg has her walls up when it comes to Silas. He betrayed her trust, and she's not sure if she can ever trust him again. But, slowly, Silas breaks down her walls, and she gives them another chance. This is such a sweet story!
This is a slow burn, somewhat steamy, second chance romance. Silas and Meg always had a thing for each other. When they first get together things don't go as planned and the stop talking. Then Meg sees him kissing someone else. They spend two years barely talking. Silas wants a second chance, but he has ADHD. Meg also has problems and believes no one would ever choose her. Can they find a way to overcome their problems and find each other again?
I read this as an ARC reader- and have been loving the series! I love that things like diabetes and ADHD are being brought into books- so many of us live with these issues, it pulls me into the book that much more to feel like I have something in common with them. Seeing Meg grow and learn to accept that boundaries are a positive thing, even amongst family, made me appreciate her that much more. I love Silas love for her💜
