Gemma Weir is a half crazed stay at home mom to three kids, one man child and a hell hound. She has lived in the midlands, in the UK her whole life and has wanted to write a book since she was a child. Gemma has a ridiculously dirty mind and loves her book boyfriends to be big, tattooed alpha males. She's a reader first and foremost and she loves her romance to come with a happy ending and lots of sexy sex.
Okay there were a couple of things that bugged me reading this and honest it was mostly the nickname lol that Andres calls Henry. And its Boy. Like it just rubbed me the wrong way. Like add a good boy but just boy. I rather have him be called kitten 24/7. Beside that part the book was enjoyable Andres was less bossy ans controlling then the other men?. Which was surprising. We met them in the last book and it was nice to see how they came. I did wanna hit Andres a few times especially when he left Henry after taking his virginity. 😒😒😒 Henry forgave him way to easy. And his excuse because Henry was to "young" and innocent. Beside that they had good chemistry. Good spicy scenes.
No om/ow drama, no cheating, slight secondary character, drama, sexy times, virgin M no manwhore M

This was amazing. I just love Harry so much. There was something about him that made me want to keep him safe at all costs. I love the two of them together. I can't wait to read the next book.
Love that this came out during pride month and is a side by side of Parker’s story- all the ladies are awesome but Parker is my fave so love seeing a different perspective. My heart broke for Henry at times, but still a great story! Cannot wait for Knight!!!!
As with all the guys in the Montana Mountain Protectors series, Anders is demanding and intense. Watching his fellow fire jumpers find their forevers, just like the Barnett brothers, has been entertaining, but not yet his life.
One look at Henry and he is gone. Flipped over to the belief that insta-love is real, and he is the next one falling.
This is everything the author "warned" us about at the beginning of the book, and I enjoyed escaping reality (again)... into the super steamy chemistry and delicious overpowering, OTT need to control literally everything in Henry's life. Based on Henry's upbringing, this is not an issue Anders should worry about, sad to say.
I love the originality and craftsmanship of this story and the way the immediate attraction and need is supported by everyone connected with this couple. This runs concurrent with Danny and Parker's story, so I suggest reading Smoulder first. I have enjoyed many books from this author, and look forward to reading the next one.
Henry and Anders are everything. This is hands down my favorite book in this series so far. It’s also the first solely MM novel I’ve read.
Anders is dominant. Bossy. Self aware, though that’s been warped due to past relationship trauma.
Henry is the person nobody has ever wanted. As an infant, child, teen and now adult he’s always been alone.
Together they are so good. If you’re a fan of Gemma’s other series then you will not be disappointed. This book is definitely worth the read. Chef’s kiss 💫
SPOILER:
There is a 3rd act break up-ish sort of situation so if that’s not your vibe you been warned.

I was lucky enough to get an advance copy of the book! I will admit this was my first MM and honestly not a trope I thought I would like, but if Gemma is going to write it I’m going to read it! I loved Henry in Danny and Parker’s book so I was so excited to see he would be in Inferno. I loved him and Anders and I loved them together. Just like we’ve all come to know and love Gemma’s books will be delivering the spice, and the spice was spicing 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️!! Also cannot wait for knights book especially after seeing that the tropes will maybe be similar to this books, which I’m so excited for.
Oh myyyyyyy Anders you possessive mf ❤️🔥❤️🔥 Henry really was his perfect match!
I've loved all of the smoke jumpers stories just as much as the Barnett siblings, but after the teasers in the last book I'm so glad these two got a full book of their own.
As with all Gemma Weir books, if you aren't into reading about completely unhinged & domineering men who fall at first sight for their person... you're missing out 😉 I LOVE this series & have my fingers crossed that Knight will get his book next!!
The story is dramatic and romantic. This is a small town, MM Romance that has many heart tugging moments. One of the MMC is. OTT & JPP whereas the other MMC has his own issues he needs to resolve. They help each other overcome their respective traumas by the end. It is a recommended book for readers who like this genre.
Personal Take: This was a sweet and heart warming romance and I like reading this series.
This was my first time reading a Gemma Weir book and I'm intrigued in reading more books based in Rockhead Point.
Inferno is her first MM Romance with a possessive/obsessive/controlling MMC (Anders) who is secretly a Golden Retriever in my eyes and a deeply mistrusting/hyper-independent MMC (Henry) wo only wants to be chosen and be loved after lots of trauma growing up in the Foster Care System.
Their story is one of love at first sight lore and getting to know each other while fighting your inner demons to open up to and to rely on your loved ones.
I really have a hard time handling the miscommunication trope, so I regularly wanted to bang both Anders' & Henry's heads against each other for not just speaking to each other but also for assuming what the other person will think or say and therefore avoiding the topic.
All in all I liked this couple and will defintely start with this series' book 1 and the Barnett Family lore. 😊
4/5 ⭐️ & 3/5🌶
Thank you Gemma Weir for sending me the ARC to read and review.
4/5⭐️ & 3/5🌶
Danke Gemma Weir fürs Zusenden des Rezensionsexemplars zum Lesen und Bewerten.
The moment the notification for this new release hit my email I jumped right in as I do with all of Gemma Weir’s books. But I can’t lie and say that I wasn’t disappointed when I saw that this is a mm book. Mm just isn’t my thing unless it’s in a RH book. But I trust Gemma and let her pop my strictly mm cherry. And I can’t lie, she did it right and I have no regrets.
Henry was a super sweet character that really made my heart hurt for him in sympathy. He was the most adorable submissive. Anders was a slightly broken dominant teddy bear that needed a good slap upside the head.
The story between these two was frustrating, hot, cute, and adorable. Poor Henry had never had a single person in his corner and I loved how he finally got a man to coddle him and a huge ass Barnett family to love him.
My reason for knocking off a star is because even though it’s over 300 pages it still felt rushed. There was a ton of repetition and monotonous inner monologue which normally isn’t this author’s style. It would have been great to see Henry and Parker’s friendship actually blossom as well as his new found family with the Barnett clan. Anders constant hit and cold treatment was a bit too much. It really only needed to happen once for the angst factor and instead given them more actual time in a relationship so we could FEEL the growth from lust to love instead of just being told.
The spice is a 5/5 as always.
A little rushy but that’s my only negative. Don’t let the fact it’s mm deter you from reading because the scenes are HOT and the story is great.
Side note: I’m REALLY hoping Knight gets a book soon. We’ve been teased in each book about him and his unknown soon to be wife and from each teaser it seems like Knight is going to be the most epic caveman of them all. I’m hopeful for a truly morally gray misunderstood alpha male romance.

After the majority of this series didn't give me the same cheesy enjoyment factor as this author's Montana Mountain Men series, this one finally gave me some of the vibes I was looking for. The elements I've come to expect from Gemma's MMCs were there, although definitely not as strong or "in your face," which fit the narrative and struggles Anders' character had throughout. However, I did miss some of the more overtly over-the-top and possessiveness that her MMCs usually display, as that is what I pick these books up for.
This was the author's first dip into the MM genre, and overall, I think she did well. I liked both Henry and Anders. I felt the chemistry between them and thought the spice that was there was good, although not as much as Gemma usually includes, but I didn't mind that as it fit this story better.
As of right now, to my knowledge, this is the last book in the series. However, there are moments in this and previous books that allude to the side character of Knight going the same way as the Barnetts and the MCs of this series, so perhaps one more is on the horizon. I was apprehensive going into this, given how the other books have landed for me, but I liked this, so I will pick up the next if there is one. It was a fun time, and I'm glad I decided to pick it up. 🌶🌶.5
"Have you ever had a moment when time stands still? I hadn't either not until I looked through the diner window and saw him."
"Henry is it for me, and I need to decide if I'm prepared to be alone for the rest of my life just to save him from my obsessive love."
"He's mine, and once he gives himself over to me, I'll show him just how much I'll pamper and adore him. I'll give him the fucking world, and all he has to give me is him."
Henry’s working in Rockhead Point at the Barnett garage. He’s on the quieter side but don’t mistake that for complacency. Henry goes out to the Granny Annie’s with Parker (Smoulder, which actually takes place co-currently). I love MM so I was excited to see Gemma try it out. While it wasn’t my favorite portrayal or MM style, Inferno wasnt awful. Anders is my first introduction to the Montana Mountain Protectors (MMPs), however, I was expecting a similar level of possessive-over-the-top (OTT) as the Barnetts and was a little disappointed. Perhaps all of the MMP’s are a muted version of the Barnetts. Essentially Anders sees Henry and is instantly like “mine,” there’s a few disagreements (honestly Anders is more like Alice than the dominant he claims to be). OH and the BDSM d-line plot was awful/not well executed. I feel like we could’ve achieved the same level of Anders freak out by just focusing on his “possessive, obsessive, need for control”.
I love Kept By the Mountain Man (Alice & Granger) and based on the description and other reviews I thought Henry and Anders would be similar. They’re not.
What I liked: • Seeing the Barnetts again • Knight • Henry’s no bs strength yet willingness to be protected • Danny trying to get Anders to pull his head out of his ass • the fact they weren’t having sex like animals • the undertones of care • the scene where they met
What I didn’t like: • Anders
Overall, I would take my review like any, with a grain of salt. These are just my thoughts and things I would’ve liked to know going in.
I loved Inferno! This author never misses for me and I excitedly devour everything she writes! I can not get enough of these OTT possessive MMCs!
In Inferno, Anders also becomes afflicted with the “Barnett curse,” and immediately recognizes Henry as his upon first site. The two couldn’t be more opposite, but they foil each other perfectly. I loved both of these characters.
Anders is dominant and wants to provide and care for Henry. However, Henry isn’t used to other people being there for him. His utter loneliness broke my heart! I was so happy he found Anders to love him. It was so hard for Henry to let him in, but Anders was so patient. Additionally, this author always writes the absolute best spicy spice and Inferno absolutely delivers! Anders and Henry were scorching hot!
Inferno is the fifth book in the Montana Mountain Protectors series and I can’t wait for more!
I have been waiting for the next book in this series for what feels like forever. I still keep hoping for knight and even though it wasn't him I was not disappointed. Absolutely unhinged and controlling mmc, with so many read flags, but I loved it. I forgot how much I enjoyed these books, and I seriously need to check out the authors backlog to see if everything is like this because I've been obsessed since the first mountain man book. MM is not usually something I reach for, and not something I expected from Gemma but she nailed it. The spice was spicing, but the relationship aspect was also so so sweet, while representing the issues of a MM relationship. Absoutely amazing, can not recommend enough.
MY RATING: 🔉🔉🔉🔉🔉 This was just what I needed. I’ve been patiently waiting for Anders and Henry’s story and Gemma delivered. These two were so sweet and hot together. And OMG the praise kink…SO GOOD!!! This was a good balance of Anders being domineering and giving praise. I really do enjoy going back for Rockhead Point, Montana. Those guys are bananas and I LOVE THEM.

My rating system does not equate to the quality of the books, therefore, you’re still on your own. It’s legit just about how I vibed with the book at the time.
"When my eyes landed on you, I just knew that you were everything."
Anders took one look at Henry and he instantly knew that they were meant to be together. Forces want them to be together but they are both flawed and complex people.
This is not my usual genre and I did read the lengthy author's note so I knew what I was going in.
Needless to say, I did had fun reading this.
Idk how many times my eyes bulged out of my eye sockets (lol) from what's Anders was doing for Henry, but it was a fun time. The push-and-pull, not so much. I am here for the good vibes and I got it.
This book is messy, complicated, packed with a lot of emotions but still glad to read it.
Loved Henry’s story (Anders' broke my heart and then fixed it)
Inferno is Gemma Weir’s first MM romance and she did a great job. Henry’s story was emotional and made me connect with him in a new way. Anders was intense and as his past came out it added depth and made his relationship with Henry even more meaningful. Their story had the perfect mix of angst chemistry and healing.
I also loved seeing Penn, Bay, all of the rest of the brothers, jumpers, and their wives. They added warmth and made the story feel fuller.
Heres the thing. I loved both mcs. The attraction and love between the two was perfect and the only reason this isn’t 5 stars is because I just needed more. From the plot and their story. But 100% will be thinking about these two for the next 3-5 business years. Overall so fun, sexy and wholesome!
SAFETY + TROPES <3
MM romance | small town | found family | insta-love | alpha OTT obsessed possessive mmc | age gap (22/35) | no cheating/sharing | no ow drama | no om drama | one mc is a virgin | third act breakup (short) | past emotional abuse | HEA
I never dreamed two of my loves would collide, Gemma Weir books and MM romance, but boy did it in the most spectacular way. This book will touch you in so many ways from heartbreak over an abandoned and mistreated baby, toddler, child, teen, young adult to a man who was abused in a way that made him think he was the abuser to a love and need of each other that is just simply beautiful.
Inferno is a beautiful MM age-gap love story set in the OTT insta-love obsessed small town of Rockhead Point, MT, where no one blinks an eye at love at first sight.
This book was such a great addition to Gemma’s catalogue, and I love that we got an MM romance in the Montana Mountain Protectors series.
Inferno by Gemma Weir is book 5 in Montana Mountain Protectors. In this one Anders meets & instantly falls in love with the Barnett Brothers Garage owners, Beau & Penn. Danny is witness to Montana Mountain Protectors Mystic Myth hitting Anders out of the blue! WHAM, another smoke jumper down! Dc
Gemma Weir done it again!🖤 though I dont read MM i have read the whole series so I still had to read this! let me tell you, I thought this was one of her romantic, lovely dovey ones yet! henry and Anders relationship was heart warming but spicy! I felt like their fears for having a relationship were both real and I understood both sides, once Anders got his head out his ass he was smooth sailing after that! love love love!
Deeply intense book like the others in the series. I definitely recommend reading the books in the series as the storyline makes even more sense after reading them. Anders is an enigma, ready to be understood after reading his story. He gives all the big energy you need in a hero, and then some.
I was lucky enough to get an advance copy of the book and what an amazing read it was. When I started it I couldn’t put it down. This is a must read as you won’t be sorry that you picked it up. Well done Gemma
I completed this book in a single day; I was captivated from beginning to end and consider it one of Gemma's finest works. Henry and Anders are perfect for each other! The way they balance each other out is amazing. 🥰 #CoupleGoals #PerfectMatch #Love #Relationship
Henry is a loner and Anders is a smoke jumper that’s bi. This is a MM story. I was glued to the book from page one! If I didn’t have to work I would have finished this book in a day! Definitely one of my top favorite books of the year!
