Dive in to the final installment in the battle between sisters!

Before the dawn of a new age can begin, the old one must die.

An empire will crumble. And a champion will lose.

It’s the same every millennia when the cycle of prophecy begins anew. One by one, the kingdoms of Teitora fall to the words of a book written long ago.

The first great battle is over and Samara, now the leader of Doragune, has fled–through no choice of her own. The dragons have taken her. They say it’s for her own protection, but what good is her safety when everyone she loves is in danger?

Her sister has abducted Gideon, the man she loves, and Zak, her oldest friend. Odessa has plans for them, plans for the kingdom that has turned its back on her.

With or without the power of the dragons, she will follow the crown of shadows to her rightful place as queen.

Finally, the prophecy has arrived, but what happens to the sisters when there is no longer a throne to claim?

Michelle MacQueen is a USA Today bestselling author of love. Yes, love. Whether it be YA romance, NA romance, or fantasy romance (Under M. Lynn), she loves to make readers swoon.
The great loves of her life to this point are two tiny blond creatures who call her "aunt" and proclaim her books to be "boring books" for their lack of pictures. Yet, somehow, she still manages to love them more than chocolate.
When she's not sharing her inexhaustible wisdom with her niece and nephew, Michelle is usually lounging in her ridiculously large bean bag chair creating worlds and characters that remind her to smile every day - even when a feisty five-year-old is telling her just how much she doesn't know.

The prophecy cycle is in full swing. War has started. Lives have been lost. Moirai are put against each other, each favoring their own champion. Kingdoms are getting close to become ruins. And in the middle of the chaos, two princesses stand - Odessa, almost fully succumbed to the will of the Shadow Crown, determined to get rid of her twin and rule all; and Samara, allied to dragons, and convinced there is a way out of the vicious cycles. And she is willing to try everything to end the endless prophecy cycles.
The final book in the series is full of violence, battles, and as the title indicates, fury. There is a lot of destruction, lots of loss and grief, yet always the ever-present hope all will be well. And Samara's unique way of thinking about the prophecy, with Zak's aid, just might be the key. The finale is a thrilling adventure, full of magic and politics - and dragons. I absolutely loved the characters, especially the way Odessa is portrayed, with the mistake to listening to the crown and her relentless fight against the crown's influence, despite her condition. I also loved Pandora's character, unpredictable and chaotic as it was, and Effie's secret came as a surprise despite all the signs being there. It was a great series, and I hope one day I will get to read the story of the next prophecy too!

This is book four of the Falling Kingdoms series. This is an exciting fantasy with adventure romance. The characters are well developed with compelling back stories, strong motivation, and goals. They have bold personalities and make bold choices. They have captivating internal conflicts with multiple difficult decisions to make. I felt like I was right there watching, feeling, and experiencing the book...not just reading it. The atmosphere created and characters were so realistic. The world building is detailed, imaginative and so well done that you're drawn into a fantastic world unlike any other. The storyline is fast-paced and very well written, filled with magic, Fae, danger, death, politics, intrigue, and subterfuge. The plot thickens, the suspense builds, and the passion erupts! I can’t wait to read the rest of this series. I am voluntarily posting an honest review after reading an Advance Reader Copy of this story.

Fury of a Crown
by M. Lynn, Melissa A. Craven is the fourth installment of The Falling Kingdoms series and the final book featuring Samara and Odessa. Picking up after the events of Ruin of a Crown, we hit the ground running and don’t stop til we reach the end. If you have not read the first three books in this series, there may be minor spoilers to them in this review. Read at your own risk. After the first real battle of the prophecy, Samara, now the crowned ruler of Doragune, has fled, taken by her dragons to an unknown location to regroup. Odessa has sided with enemies of the prophecy hoping to regain control of the empire and complete the prophecy once and for all. She’s captured Gideon and Zak trying to draw out her sister and use them to aid her cause. With the prophecy coming full circle, Odessa and Samara must find a way to break the cycle or survive it.

Like I said in my review of book three, each book in this series just gets better and better. In this fourth installment, we see the cycle of prophecy moving towards completion. Luca, Fate himself, has given up on breaking the cycle and believes that, like all the other cycles, it must be ridden out. Zak and Samara have other plans. As the cycle begins to reach its climax, the prophecy changes, and it is Zak and Samara causing it. Together, they race to find a way to break the cycle, save Odessa, and end this war before it has a chance to ruin the empire.

Odessa is lost to the shadow crown. Madness grips her, and she isn’t in control of her decisions. Through a twist of fate, she finds a way to occasionally break through, letting her Chosen and Samara know that she is trapped within her own mind. Samara isn’t sure Odessa can be saved, but she has to try, right? She starts by trying to find out as much as she can about the prophecy, the crowns themselves, and the role of the Morai and dragons. I loved the addition of the dragons. They take on a larger role here as the battle begins in earnest.

Overall, I really enjoyed Fury of a Crown. The prophecy is interesting, and I loved the foreshadowing and intricate way the authors weaved the story together so that it all makes sense in the end. If you are a fan of epic fantasy with adventure abounding and a touch of romance, I highly recommend it.

The end of an empire perhaps, but definitely not the end of the saga. This is a true epic. The world building is rich and detailed and each character is equally well defined. If there is a drawback to the series at all, it is waiting for the next book. Sarah J. Maas, Rebecca Yarros and Cassandra Clare may have the fame but these two underrated authors are just as talented. If you are new to this duo, go back for the first in series, Shadows of a Crown, and prepare to be amazed!

What is going to happen? The battle is over, or is it? Can Samara get her the man she loves and her best friend back from Odessa? Is it more than the crown or is there more to the prophecy? Or have they changed it somehow?.

The Falling Kingdoms book four, Fury of a Crown is the sister’s final battle and the arrival of the prophecy. The world that’s been created throughout this series has been magnificent, and the characters have such depth. I’ll be looking forward to Secrets of a Song next year!.

‘The Battle of the Sisters’
It’s a sad world in which siblings fight each other rather than fight together. Family is to be a team, a support, a rock, and a shoulder for crying on. How can the princesses experience this when they are trying to kill each other?

Actively trying to avoid a negative prophecy so that the next generation can deal with it is no different than our current policies of turning a blind eye to human and environmental needs. Ignoring the inevitable only worsens the situation.

Fave line:
‘Be prepared for death, destruction, and dragons.’

The saga continues with ‘Secrets of a Song’.
