The Null Equation

Rate this book
My alien scout ship, the Theron, and I were supposed to head to Tau Ceti, do a little recon, and be home in time for a quiet drink.

Instead, we got hijacked by bug-eyed jailers on a drifting prison ship lost in foldspace.

Turns out they want to use my genetics to wake up their worst prisoner—a lunatic who almost tore reality apart using something called the Null Equation.

My crew’s scattered. The Theron’s compromised. And I’m the key to unlocking a living weapon.

I’m just a biker with a half-alien bloodline and a bad attitude. But if this lunatic gets loose, nowhere will be safe—not for me, not for anyone.

Some math should never be solved.

I was born in Canada and remember as a small boy crawling in my snow-fort. I closed my eyes, and when I tried to open them, they were frozen shut. I didn't panic, but wiped away the ice crystals, unglued my eyes and kept on building my tunnel. Those were great days! I moved to Central California before seventh grade and couldn't believe I lived in a land where oranges grew on trees and you could pick grapes from the vine.

I used to wonder what I wanted to do with my life, what kind of work specifically. I was miserable not knowing and bordering on desperate. Then one day a friend gave me his typewriter. I began working on a novel. A different person told me it was much easier on a computer, so I bought one and began getting up at 4:30 A.M. each morning before work, writing for three hours. My eyes were unglued once again as the pang of misery left my gut. I knew exactly what I wanted to do: write. So now that's what I do, I write, and write, and write, and I love it.

Kept me up past my bedtime

I couldn't stop reading it, I knew that Axion was not to be trusted. So many plot twists and situations that seem impossible to get out of. Want to continue the story right away.

Very entertaining

This was a really good, typical Heppner story with likable characters and really bad ones as well. I am looking forward to the next book in the series.
